Colchester Cottage Rental Photos and Description
3 bedroom, 1 full bath, sleeps 6

This lake view cottage has all of the modern conveniences of home with beautiful Lake Champlain views. The kitchen has been recently renovated with new wood floors. Our cottage is located 25 minutes from Burlington on Mills Point in Colchester, Vermont. It is conveniently situated near the Burlington bike path and the Colchester causeway. Lake access is across the road where the water is clear and shallow enough for young children. There is a mooring available for your boat and a rock beach for sunning. The community of Mills Point is friendly and welcoming.

The Fall foliage is spectacular both on the Point and in the area. There are amazing scenic drives into the mountains around Stowe and beyond. There is lovely mountain hiking nearby and natural areas within walking distance. In the summer you can pick strawberries and blueberries and in the Fall apple picking is available.

I lived in Burlington for 27 years before moving to Boulder, Colorado. I raised 3 children in Vermont and still consider it my home.

Our property is unique in that our community of neighbors is special. Many of the folks on Mills Point live here year round. They are friendly, kind and generous and I consider myself lucky to be able to come home to such a place.

Mills Point is close enough to Burlington to feel cosmopolitan and far enough away to feel like a getaway. I love my cozy home on the lake and look forward to spending more time here in the future. I hope you enjoy your stay as much as I do.

What a great place to stay in Vermont. Only 15 min to Burlington. The lake is beautiful, clear and refreshing. The house had a lake house feel so we did not have to worry about being overly neat. The owners seem to take great care to make your stay accommodating. We had everything we needed at the house; in fact we brought too much stuff. I could not say enough about the neighbors and Mills Point community- everyone was so friendly and didn't seem to mind our late night chatting on the deck.
Just one recommendation would be to bring water shoes. The first 10 feet into the water is very rocky and could be hard to manage without shoes.
The property manager , Raquel, was very easy to work with and very helpful.
We had a wonderful girls weekend and would come back again.
Owner's Response: Thank you so much for your review. I'm very happy to hear that you enjoyed your stay! I hope you will stay with us again in the future.

This vacation was a gift from my sisters and it was perfect- the place, nearness to bike trail and walks. Everything we would need was there in a light, spacious, homey house. We felt at home - away from home
