Peace & Quiet

My family and I stayed at this home in May for my college graduation which was in Lynchburg. It was a very refreshing trip for my parents and grandparents; they really enjoyed the peace and quiet. I myself enjoyed the "vacation" as well although I have to admit I was a little too afraid and sketched out to sleep on the sofa bed in the basement. If only it was in the living room! I'm just afraid of spiders. But the other rooms were nice and it was really convenient to have the 2.5 bathrooms. My dad and my husband really enjoyed fishing at the lake and the rest of us really enjoyed the view. We also visited a winery nearby (would have visited more but ran out of time). We would definitely want to visit this area again.
It was clean, the description was accurate (although it says there's a lot of new stuff but most of the house seemed kind of outdated). The owner was very nice to work with and I would surely recommend this property to a friend. There is also a restaurant in the community that had very yummy food.
Owner's Response: We used to keep a sleep sofa in the living room. Should we move it back?? There is no need to worry about spiders, we have a pest control company spray the home, inside and out, every month year around. There are many good restaurants, my favorite is Chopsticks at Halesford Bridge and Vieras. Also, the nearest winery about 5 miles distance, Hickory Hill, has won awards for their wines. All types of water sports/activities occur most of the year. We have the best rental prices at the lake because my wife and I live nearby our vacation rental home and accomplish all the work both managing and maintenance. We take pride in our vacation home and our goal to please our customers. If you return in the future, you get a "happy returning customer" 5% discount on the base rent.
