Magical stay in a beautiful and historic home.
We had a wonderful family getaway at this Westhampton historic home. The grounds were magical and expansive so that everyone had room to wander and have their corner to read and relax, while others played the provided croquet game, and at night we counted fireflies while chomping down smores. The house is decorated with restraint and deference to the historic roots. It is dotted with some amazing pieces of art and the library has a selection that is eclectic, cool, and serious as to challenge any cosmoplitan intellect.
Martin, our host, was very kind and welcomed us with the basics: great coffee, local baked goods, olive oil and balsamic vinegar. The home was well stocked and had a cook's kitchen. We can't say enough about our visit here. The hamlet is a very quiet and private area and yet close to all the great shops and basic amenities. We hope to back again and make it a family tradition.
