Photos and Description of the Huron vacation house rental
4 bedrooms, 2 full bathrooms, sleeps 8

This country home is located 3 and 1/2 miles east of the historic village of Milan, Ohio. Being close to Lake Erie, it is an easy drive to Cedar Point, the large water park, Kalahari, public beaches, restaurants, shopping, boat rides to Lake Erie Islands and looking for antiques. Edison birthplace is located in Milan along with a lovely historic museum. Hiking and bird watching can be done in the Erie Metro Park system. Fishing and water sports are available in Huron and Sandusky. Concerts are held in some of the parks in Sandusky, and Huron. There are many golf courses in the area. The Huron Playhouse offers plays in the summer usually through July. It is equal distance to Toledo and Cleveland. Enjoy a day in Cleveland to see the Rock and Roll Museum or take in a baseball game at Jacob's Field. After a busy day of activities find relaxation in a serene, nicely furnished, comfortable nine room country home with a big yard completely surrounded by farmland.

The property would be excellent for a person or family needing short term housing while looking for property to buy in the area, or for a person who has been temporarily transferred to the area who would rather enjoy the comforts of a nicely furnished home to the limited space of a motel

About Patricia Limbird

I am a retired school teacher. I am the fourth generation owner of the property. The house was built in 1849 and has had many changes made to it since that time. My father was a farmer and I worked on the farm until I graduated from college. We specialized in growing sweet corn but now raise soy beans, wheat, and field corn.

Patricia Limbird purchased this house in 1995
Why Patricia Limbird chose Huron

The property has special meaning to me since it is where I grew up. It is in a safe, quiet location in the country, but close enough to towns to grocery shop, and buy most anything you would want. Being within 5 miles of Lake Erie is great because of the many activities the Lake area offers.

What makes this house unique

This nine room house is very clean which allows families to spread out during their stay. The kitchen is modern with dishwasher, microwave, and is well equiped. Outside is a patio, chairs, charcoal grill, and fire pit. The backyard is very large for children or others to play in. The area is safe and being in the country surrounded by farmland it is quiet.

This place was accurately decribed in listing. It is well kept and has plenty of space. It is out in the country and very quiet but not to far from various attractions. Would definitely recommend to friends and would stay at again.

NHRA Weekend

5 of 5
Submitted: July 15, 2012 Stayed: July 2012
We stayed at this home for the NHRA races and it was excellent. The home was everything we needed. The home is really nicer than the pictures. We loved the antiques and the location. Only took us 8-10 mins. to get to the track. Was close to a WalMart if we needed anything, but the house was so well stocked we only had to get personal items we forgot. The only bad thing about the stay was it was so hot. Could have used 1 more air conditioner in the one bedroom.(I don't like air) It was clean and so well kept up. I hated leaving dirty towels when we left. Never ran out of warm water for all of our showers. I hope to use it for next year. I would recommend this property to anyone who is visiting Cedar point or Lake Erie. Was disappointed that there wasn't a public beach closer. This home is really a hidden gem. Thank you Patricia for letting us rent your home. Cindy and Tim
