We never write reviews, however we feel this is worthy of writing about. We have rented many condo's in the past but have never had one as clean and as well maintained as this one. Communication with the owner was great and very fast response to our emails. With 8 people and 2 of them being teenage girls 3 baths was a +++. Plenty of sitting room in the living room and the balcony was larger than most places we've been. On the cooler days when being on the beach was a bit cool you could be by the pool and be comfortable. Nice to have and exercise room too. Would not hesitate to stay here again the next time we are in Gulf Shores.

We spent a week at Tropical Winds and it has been one of our best vacations to date. The condo was clean, quiet, and very inviting. We had three adults and three children and plenty of room. The beach was lovely, water was warm and clear. The view from the balcony is wonderful and there is a nice breeze much of the time. We were able to leave our umbrellas in the sand overnight which made for less tracking sand into the condo. This is a great place for families! We met other families when we visited and our kids are keeping in touch. The pool is clean and well kept. Our kids loved to spend time in the ocean and in the pool. Many people used the grills and those were maintained well too. Carol, the owner, was helpful and made making reservations simple and straight forward. We will likely return yearly.

We had a great time with family and friends at your condo. Plenty of sleeping arrangements, the condo is clean, neat, and decorated very nicely. The view was great from what I think are the most beautiful beaches in the world. We ate at some of the local restaurants but also enjoyed cooking at the condo. I highly recommend this condo for families.

My husband and I, along with our kids and grandkids had a fantastic vacation. We had perfect weather - no rain, but very turbulent tides. We spent lots of time walking the beach as well as sand sculpting and just enjoying the sound of the waves. The surrounding familes were all very friendly and respectful. We were able to leave our tent out along with our chairs and sand toys all week without anyone bothering them.

The condo is so spacious and comfortable and very well maintained. It was nice to have the high chair and pack n' play for the little ones. The view from the balcony is awesome. Being right on the beach makes it so convenient. The pool was refreshing after the heat of the beach.

We ate at Shrimp Basket, The Steamer (our favorite), and the Hang Out which is a great family place with lots for the kids to enjoy.

We left before 9 a.m. on Saturday to avoid the mad rush of traffic. It worked. This was our second vacation in this condo and we're hoping to return for another wonderful vacation.

We brought some of our kids and their kids to have a relaxing, restful week at the beach. We come every year but this was the first time at this condo. It was wonderful. Carol and Dave are very pleasant and accomodating. The condo was very clean, well furnished and met our needs to a tee. The location is perfect. We enjoyed several of the local restaurants although the wait times seemed excessive, that comes with mid-summer vacations. The beach is easily accessible and is maintained very well. We also enjoyed deep sea fishing, a visit to the Naval Air Museum in Pensacola and the ladies spent alot of time shopping at the malls and shops. All in all, a very pleasant week. As Arnold says "We will be Back".

Stayed last week of March 2011. The condo is very nice, clean and comfortable.
The beach was great, easy access and no signs of the oil spill visible. The kids wore out 3 boogie boards during the week. We also, the early risers anyway, got to see dolphins from the beach and condo balcony 4 mornings, one morning inside the second surf break. Bring your binocs.
The owners are very friendly and helpful on the phone and responded quickly to all email questions.
We would definitely recommend this condo to others.
Great value for three bedrooms and three bathrooms, plenty of space for everyone. Two male and two female teenagers along and no problems with bathroom or bedroom space.

The first impression when walking into the condo is fantastic. You get a beautiful view of the beach from the balcony. The sleeping arrangements for us was ideal. My husband and I took the room with the twin beds. Our oldest son, his wife and 17 month old took the Master bedroom which gave them plenty of room to set up the Pack and Play. Our youngest son, his wife and 2 1/2 year old boy took the room with the Queen and the single bed. Our grandson transitioned into a "big boy bed" and it was a very good experience. It was so nice to have a separate bedroom for each family, as well as each family having their own bathroom.

The condo was very clean. The kitchen was very well equipped for cooking in and the table easily accommodated all eight of us. The living room was also spacious enough for all of us.

There are 32 units in Tropical Winds. The elevator is easily accessible for everyone without delays. The pool is kept very clean.

When we walked the beach we decided that the beach front at Tropical Winds was one of the best. It's amazing how many people are walking the beach after dark. We noticed that people left their umbrellas and chairs on the beach throughout the night. We did the same and were pleasantly surprised that they were there every morning. We felf very safe at Tropical Winds.

We were able to walk to two different convenience stores, an ice cream shop and several eating establishments.

We especially enjoyed eating at Gulf Shores Steamer at 124 West 1st Avenue. We at there in 1990 when it was relatively new. They serve the best platter of steamed crab, mussels, oysters, shrimp, corn on the cob, slaw and new red potatoes. We also enjoyed Mikee's. They had baked, steamed and fried fish as well as other entrees. Lulu's was also good but mainly had fried fish. For breakfast we ate at the Best Western. It was very good also.

The owner of the condo is very pleasant. She was very kind about answering all my questions and making me more comfortable about our accommodations. It was our first time traveling with the grandkids so we had lots of concerns. Everything was as she told me. We were so happy that the kids felt so comfortable there.

We hope to return in the Fall along with two other couples. I know they will love it as much as we did. I would recommend this property to our friends and family.
