P“It's hard to put into words HOW good this place actually is.”

Date of review: Sep 2, 2010
I am almost never at a loss for words, but it has taken me a couple of months of fond reflection to actually sit down and try to tell people what a complete oasis of perfection that El Milagro actually is.

First off the owners are very easy to deal with. I messaged Eric to let him know I had a couple questions, and the next day he gave me a call and answered all my questions. He made me so comfortable that I booked the week on the spot.

The location is absolutely PERFECT, you are close to everything. My wife and I walked into Centro as well as all the way to Playa Lancheros with no problem at all. When we did take cabs anywhere it was around 2-3 dollars (20 - 30 pesos).

The staff at El Milagro are amazing, they have the ability to be as hands on, or hands off as you want them to be. Which is a hard balance to actually find. Josh, Jodi, and Hugo are always around to answer any questions, or set you up for any activities you might want to partake in. By the end of the trip they felt more like friends that you were going to miss than El Milagro "staff".

We stayed in the Blue Cabana and it by far exceeded my expectations. The air conditioner in the room was absolutely fantastic, it cooled the room very fast as we turned it off all day when we were not in the room. The two ceiling fans also kept the room very comfortable as well.

The cabana itself has a very nice little kitchen, a nice sitting / dining area, a comfortable bed, and a very large and nice bathroom. Outside you are treated to a patio with a small table and umbrella, a large bench, and a clothes line to hang your wet towels and swimming gear. Another very nice touch is they have a tv, dvd player, and a nice selection of books. There is also a VERY large library which you can borrow some books from out in the marina.

There are many iguanas on the property who I absolutely fell in love with, and spent time with almost every day. I still miss these little guys. I went into town and bought them some bananas and they would come running when they would see me in the morning by about the 3rd day. There are also cute little geckos scampering around the walls inside occasionally. I could not help but smile every time I saw them, they are just so cute.

El Milagro also has kayaks that you can use. ....
