4 couples stayed in this cabin and had a very wonderful, fabulous time! Cabin is very neat, well organized, 8 people were very comfortable. We practiced dancing Bolero in the living room, played cards, made gourmet meals (the men cooked, the ladies cleaned). The area offers a lot of activities. We went fishing, sightseeing, visited friends and visited Biltmore which is only 40-45 minutes drive. The scenery is very beautiful and emotes a peaceful feeling. The verandas on the rooms and off the dining room is very condusive to playing cards, or reading a book, etc. Very, very nice indeed!!!

Eagle Creek is wonderful!

I have been visiting the NC mountains for the past ten years and this is by far the best cabin our family has ever stayed in. It is spacious, yet cozy, comfortable and inviting. Its proximity to major highways allows visiting all the local attractions in a breeze. Waynesville, Asheville, Gatlinburg, Hendersonville, Dollywood, Pisgah, Nantahala, Blue Ridge Parkway, Cataloochee, all around the corner. I recommend this cabin to all that want to visit this area, and then come back to a serene cabin. Every room has a screen porch to sit back, read, and/or actually "hear yourself think". My congrats, and thanks goes out to the Trujillos.

Must for any vacation in the Smokies

The pictures and detailed descriptions do not do justice to this vacation rental. This is not just a log cabin but a beautiful mountain home. This cabin is a large home with all the amentites of a home away from home. Very spacious with large bedrooms each with porches. You have great views of the mountains and are close enough to town to not be inconvenienced. My 15 year old son especially loved the downstairs game room area perfect for kids big and small what a great spot to hang out. Complete with TV, Pool Table pull out futon, full bath, wood burning stove and access to the outside fire pit area and grill. Also has a full size washer and dryer for those who like to travel light. House came fully equiped. Close to rafting the Nantahala or the Train in Bryson City, Each less then 45 minutes away. J. Arthurs Steak and Seafood in town is an excellent place to dine or Smackers is a great place for burgers or quick meals. Traveled with multiple family memebers and plan to make this our reunion spot next year as it was so wonderful. Wireless internet and Satelite TV worked even during thunderstorms which came in the evening several nights while staying here. Game Room Again....wonderful place to spend the evening. Beds were very comfortable and each room has its own TV. Owner are so wonderful, informative and very very accommodating I have rented other homes for vacationing and this one will not disappoint you. Home has central air and heat but with cool evenings never had to use it. Several screened in areas to sit and enjoy your early morning coffee or late evenings. If you enjoy the mountains this is the place for you. Clean and well kept.

My family and I planned a retreat this weekend. They're all city slickers, so I didn't think they'd be impressed. They were getting skeptical of the gravel roads and the confederate flags in that part of the state... but once they saw the cabin, they all agreed the trip was worth it. It has satellite TV and internet access. It's a very clean, new house, with lovely simple decoration and such soft beds, and pool table for fun, and many porches for introspection The firepit was great too-- I taught everyone how to make smores, and were were able to play with small fire works. The water pressure was great, and there's hot water too. The cabin helped open up my family to the rest of the mountain experience, and we realized people can have confederate flags and still be nice people :) The owner of the house is amazing, she really seems to care more about people having a good time than anything else. You can definitely trust her. She's even arranging to have clothing mailed back that someone in my party left behind.

There are some things families should consider before renting this particular cabin, which I'd like to point out for people's benefit. The only drawback was that the house carries even small sounds very well-- so think twice before you bring a loud snorer or rowdy kids! Or bring earplugs. AT&T reception works outside of the house but not inside, although Verizon seems to work even inside.

Awesome Cabin - Awesome Week!

The website was accurate but did not do justice to actually being at this wonderful cabin and location! The mountains were absolutely beautiful and the cabin was more than we had hoped for. The cabin was fully stocked with everything you would ever need to enjoy time away from home. The kids especially liked the game room and the fire pit (nightly smores were a must!). The property is obviously taken good care of, clean, comfortable and well built. The owners were not only professional but genuinely care about you having a good time; the welcome package was packed with (accurate) information. Our visits included the Cherokee reservation and we were even close enough to Gatlinburg to enjoy their sites as well. Other than "home cooking" at the cabin, Shoney's has an awesome breakfast buffet that we enjoyed a few times. I would highly recommend this cabin to our family and friends and we are looking forward to returning in the near future. Our thanks to Tami and Andres for opening their home for our enjoyment!

Cabin seemed so secluded but we were actually able to go to Waynesville for dinner(once) and shopping within 10-15 minutes. Talk about amenities! The cabin is fully stocked with anything you need from linens, kitchen utensils, and cookware. The fall foliage was beautiful. We were able to entertain local friends, but most importantly..WE WERE ABLE TO RELAX. Thanks for sharing your beautiful cabin. Ray and Jill

Eagle Creek Cabin

PEL North Carolina
Review Submitted: October 7, 2008 Date of Stay: September 2008
This was home away from home for a week. My wife had a conference at Lake Junaluska and the cabin was the prefect retreat. The drive for her was only 8-9 miles. The cabin was secluded but with easy directions on how to get there plus nearby locations. We thought about eating out one or two nights but with a well-furnished kitchen and an out grill - why bother with going out. Our dogs loved it and we loved it.

We had a wonderful time on our vaction and would recommend this property to our friends and family. The cabin was very secluded in a beautiful mountain setting and was very spacious and accomadating for our large family. It's also convienently close to Ghost Town, the Cataloochee Valley and just a short drive to Santa's Land and Harroh's Cherokee Casino. The owners provided us with lots of helpful information on local attractions and restaurants.

Perfect Getaway!

We were the first guests in Tami, Andres & Mike’s new cabin and were delighted with our stay. The cabin was beautiful, the setting even better. We enjoyed sitting on the porch in the mornings, and the BBQ grill area at night.

Everything inside was like home away from home. We are looking forward to a winter stay soon.
