Spacious and beautifully decorated... Comfort is the priority at Seafan Meadows.

Large open rooms; showers so roomy a curtain isn't needed; the gourmet-level kitchen stocked with organic whole-bean coffee, delicious olive oil and other staples; the audiophile sound-system serving 10,000 CDs stored on the in-house, wireless PC. Wii console, extra controllers and Wii Sports, upscaling DVD player with ~300 movies from the 'best of' lists for kids, adults, the whole family. These are the highlights of the amenities awaiting you!

Relax by the pool; virtually chlorine-free with the ionization purifier. Cruise the coast or up on the Bluff by bicycle or the included minivan. Plan a meal around just-caught fish and locally grown produce; you'll know who to check with. Derwin Scott, our local partner, born and raised on Cayman Brac, London educated... he can 'clue you in' on all the details of the island, and more!

You set the pace at Seafan Meadows.

We've been visiting Cayman Brac for over 40 years and have made so many dear friends on this 'rock' of an island. Having visited a fair number of other Caribbean islands we've come to realize that the Brac is truly unique as a destination. The isolation of the Caymans has encouraged a self - sufficient population of 'can do' people. There's never been a neighboring island to turn to during hard times. The combination of remaining a British Dependency and the more recent successes in off-shore banking and tourism has resulted in a standard of living that rivals any developed society. Education and civility are taken very seriously.

What really separates Cayman Brac, though, is that it has not been ruined by 'tourism development'... There have never been more than two modest resorts or the large condominium projects that can so spoil a culture. The people of the Brac are pleased to meet you and are glad to make your visit as special as their island home truly is.

This home and property are legend on the island! From the winding driveway (Why wouldn't you just cut it straight?!) to the massive roof beams... and 'so many windows!' When we realized it was time for 'a place of our own' we looked at every option, every property. Finding Seafan Meadows brought home the realization that we'd be hard pressed to better design our second home... and there's nothing even close on the island! Originally designed and built in the late 80's by architect Robert Poyas as his 'dream home,' every attention was made to the details that make it perfect. We took the attitude that since this is first and foremost our home, that we'd go ahead and furnish / equip it with that in mind. The result is that Seafan Meadows offers pleasant surprises everywhere you turn. You'll find everything you need... and more!

We had a week at this lovely house over Easter. It was so peaceful, calm and laid back we have visited Grand Cayman before which has now become very commercialised - this is the 'real' carribean. The house has a brilliant kitchen with every conceivable appliance including an ice cream maker and a slow cooker and for me who loves cooking it was a joy as normally in a rental house it is very limited.
We enjoyed the fact that there were no neighbours anywhere nearby and you did feel you were on your own private island whilst at Seafan.
The snorkelling from the beach was great and so easy - but take some wet shoes with you as it is rocky getting in to the water. The kayaks were well used especially by my teenage son and daughter. Another real bonus was having a car supplied with the property, you do need a car to get around and we were able to explore the whole island which is well worth doing.
Derwin was really helpful and such a lovely guy, very informative about the island. We booked a fishing trip with him and my son was thrilled to catch 3 barricuda, well worth doing!
All the arrangements were done by e-mail with Charlotte and she made it all very easy and straightforward. The house is exactly as described in the details and we would certainly recommend it as a wonderful place to spend a vacation.

Wonderful Stay on Cayman Brac at Seafan Meadows

Our family recently spent two weeks on Cayman Brac at this wonderful home. Cha-Che was an absolute pleasure to deal with and we thoroughly enjoyed our relaxing stay. The local property manager, Derwin, was great and responsive to all of our needs!

The home is equipped with everything you need.....all the utensils, linens, entertainment etc. It is nicely decorated and spacious, lofted ceilings in the living area and large master suites. We spent most of our time outside on the patio, beach and pool. The two refrigerators came in handy for storing extra drinking water etc. There are nice touches throughout the home. The added minivan was a great bonus, we used it daily for shopping and exploring.

Cayman Brac has to be the most friendly and laid back place we have ever visited....waves from everyone and the most helpful of people. The pace is absolutely relaxed and a stark constrast to even Grand Cayman. If you want to have the "deserted island" experience but retain the comforts of home, this is the place! During most of our explorations we did not see a single other person. Certainly no crowds to worry about.

Some of the activities not to be missed....exploring the bluff and numerous caves. Eating out at various local restaurants for island fare....Aunt Sha's was excellent. Beachcombing/snorkeling/swimming. We went off the public beach on the south shore as waves were too large on the north. Shopping for Caymanite at NIM Things on the northeast corner (Tennson Scott is quite a character).

The grocery shopping appeared daunting at first (no barge until the last Friday before we left :)). Best advice, hit all of the stores in a loop and be creative with menu! Each store carried unique items and we never felt that we missed anything in particular. The prices may shock you at first but you quickly get used to it.

The seas did not cooperate until the end of our stay but we finally had the opportunity to use Derwin's unique services including fishing/boating excursions. We went tuna fishing and then also took a wonderful trip to Little Cayman on a second occasion. Caught lots of fish for dinner and Little Cayman has a beautiful sandy beach with great snorkeling.

We look forward to coming back some day to Seafan Meadows and Cayman Brac. The whole experience was amazing and it was the highlight of our 2 month long Caribbean adventure.

If you are seeking to find peace, rest, beauty, etc. you will not have to look any further. Sea Fan Meadows is just what the doctor ordered. Our stay here was amazing. From the moment we arrived at the home, we were satisfied and pleasantly pleased with our choice. The view is more beautiful than pictures can express. We were taken by the beauty of the property and the privacy. This is definitely a place you will want to return to again, and again. I have traveled to many places around the world on vacations searching for peace and rest, wanting to get away from the worries and responsibilities of life. Well, I found my place...Cayman Brac. The Island is very small, quiet, friendly, and a beautiful place to spend your vacation. I will definitely return to the Island, and Sea Fan Meadows again for an amazing vacation. Thank you for allowing us to enjoy this beautiful home and Island. Can't wait to return!

We fell in love with the house as soon as we arrived. Not only everything you would ever need, but a house filled with treasures, art and a feeling of warmth and love. Derwin was there to meet us and take us to the local supermarket. Derwin was amazing, and helped us with some issues with the local dive shop. He helped set us up with the Brac Scuba Shack and saved our dive vacation! Thanks again.

The house has everything you could ever want and more. 2 fridges! More room for homemade pie's from Billy's (make sure to order!). A computer with printer, internet, tv, a high end music system, dishwasher, washer, dryer etc etc. Some days we never left the house. Our son loved the pool!

The reef out back is a hidden treasure. Make sure to look for the baby nurse shark hidden in the reef, not to mention the multitude of fish. Including porcupine fish which you won't see on dives.

As for shopping keep an eye on the dates but we found everything we wanted, organic milk and coffee anyone! Just ask when the barge comes in and shop the day after for fresh produce. I liked the coconut bread from the local baker. We took meat down in a cooler and declared it but didn't pay any taxes.

The van is a bonus, we saw the local car rental company out fishing many times.... Keep in mind the locals will acknowledge you from the oncoming lane. The Brac'ers are some of the most friendly locals we've met anywhere. Sitting in Aunt Sha's we got greeted every-time someone new came in. Where else does this happen? Make sure to visit Aunt Sha, the best cooking on the island - it's always hopping with locals.

PRIVACY- We saw a boat in the distance from the back yard and that was about all the human contact we had at the house. Neighboring houses are far way and looked empty.

Best vacation ever, thanks to this amazing, magical property! Already booked for next year.

We loved our time on the Brac and hope to return. The home was the first we've ever rented that was even better than the pictures and descriptions. Derwin was very helpful and kind. We went fishing twice, didn't catch much but enjoyed being out on the boat. We didn't fully understand what the owner meant when describing the groceries stores and freshness. Be sure to check all product dates before purchasing. We found a large portion of items we picked up were outdated - some by over a year. It was very frustating to discover the hard way & not be able to eat VERY expensive products.

Beautiful setting...

We just returned from two weeks at Seafan Meadows and really enjoyed this home...yes...home. We really felt at home in this beautiful three bedroom beach house. Very comfy and a great setting. The view was spectacular and the star gazing at night was absolutely beautiful. It was so relaxing to sit out by the pool and just stare into the sky and look for "falling stars". Yep...saw one! We could have explored for months and never seen all the movies, looked at all the books, played all the games or used all the kitchen tools. Everything was neat and very clean.
We travel with another couple each year and the bedroom setup was very nice and private. There are basically two identical master suites on opposite sides of the back of the house each with a huge bathroom. Each bathroom had double sinks and a large open walk in shower. The third bedroom is in the front...again private...and a great set up for kids.
These owners make sure that you have all the creature comforts. There is full cable TV with DVR and gaming consoles, a computer in the front bedroom and WiFi throughout the property, MagicJack telephone so you can call home and talk as long as you want. The kitchen is beyond anything we've ever encountered. Two huge refrigerators, gas range and oven, huge microwave and the infamous "spice drawer" filled with great spices.
We will definitely be visiting again...thanks!!

We have visited Grand Cayman a number of times – but this was our first trip to the Brac. We loved it so much; we are already in the process of booking next year!! We stayed for two weeks with our two teenagers and two toddlers and all of us fell in love.

The property:
Amazing location, not a neighbor in sight and nothing but wide Caribbean views from the house. We did a lot of shore snorkeling, enjoyed the kayaks at the house and attempted some shore fishing. There were many characters on the property – curly tail lizards, hermit crabs, birds – the little kids really enjoyed their new friends! The pool was such a nice feature – we used it every day and the sun shade on top is a nice touch. There is plenty of outside seating and there is an outside dinner table which we used many times. The shore is rocky – bring water shoes – but there are other sandy areas to go on the island if you desire. There is also an outside fire pit to grill on and we had some delicious meals from that.

The house:
From the moment we walked in, we knew this was a very well taken care of home. The space was wonderful, really it has everything you would want and more! The DVD selection was great, the beds were very comfortable, the kitchen was very well stocked and with children, we loved having a washer/dryer. Cha-Che even got a pack n play for us – we really appreciated that! One of the items that we used and appreciated the most was the van – this is not normal on the Brac to have a car come with the house and this really helps save money on renting a car.

The Island:
There are many great places that we checked out on the island… caving, seeing the bluff and the lighthouse are "a must do". Public Beach and the beach in the West End are both sandy where we had fun snorkeling and swimming on the sandy beach. A few of us snorkeled out to the Russian wreck and swam down to touch it – scary, but fun!! The Brac Reef resort was great to eat some meals – we also went to Aunt Shay’s and had some Golden Jerk Chicken (amazing) and a family favorite which satisfied everyone was PoPo Jebb’s pizza where we had pizza followed by some great ice cream (reasonably priced). Everyone is so welcoming.

Derwin was GREAT - he picked us up at the airport, took us fishing and lots more. Cha-che was great to work with – so responsive & when you come to her house, you will see she is very organized and puts a lot of time and thought into making this home perfect for you!

Spent a week at SeaFan Meadows in Jan. and it was beautiful. The home was way beyond our expectations. We fished out front, snorkeled and watch beautiful sunsets. Well equipped house which left nothing to be desired. Derwin was very friendly and helpful. Looking forward to coming to the Brac again and staying here
