Thank you, I knew I would love the cottage when I saw the lovely porch and sunflower door decoration awaiting me. The clean and well-maintained cottage had everything I needed and I didn't want for a thing. The queen size bed was new and very comfortable and the quality sheets and extra large towels where also a nice surprise.
I didn't use the computer hook-up or the dvd player but it was there for my use if I wanted.
Town was only about a mile away and it was very easy to find my way around. I felt very safe walking my dogs in the neighborhood and the neighbors I met were very friendly. I would recommend this property to anyone, I am sure you will enjoy yourself. Nancy, Jacksonville, Fl

Sunflower Cottage

This is a wonderful cute cottage. We enjoyed our stay and the town of Hendersonville. Only complaint we had was it indicated it was in walking distance from downtown and it is a long way to walk. Also there was only ONE washcloth in the entire cottage. All and all it was a nice clean place to stay and we will book this one again maybe in the spring. Thanks again.

We try to have an ample supply of towels available and we would have gladly brought more supplies if you would have given us a call as our supply cupboard is only a few blocks away. Delightful, sunny Sunflower!

Absolutely LOVED the little Sunflower cottage! Very cute, clean, comfortable, well-maintained. It had everything needed to make the food we brought along. We enjoyed hanging out on the front porch, having all our meals on the back porch and enjoying the atmosphere in this very quaint, appealing section of Hendersonville.
Told my husband I want to live there!! I love that type of neighborhood--very eclectic collection of older homes. Peaceful, quiet street.
I had been hunting for somewhere we could bring our food and also our dog, with very short notice and got lucky! We were in the area to check out Lake Lure and this is a good spot to be to go to the lake but also enjoy the pleasures of the greater Hendersonville/Ashville area.
Would definitely come back and would recommend to friends!
Although it has two queen beds, this property is probably best for two, three people at most.

Very nice cottage. I have rented from VRBO many times and this one ranks up there with several others as definitely would rent again. It was pleasantly clean, well stocked, and easy to find!

Sunflower needs a little TLC

While Sunflower Cottage was pretty much as described, it is in need of a little loving care. Our biggest complaint was the lack of seating in the living room. Why have a 2 bedroom rental able to sleep 4 & then have only a love seat & a chair in the living area? AND the love seat is in need of replacement--- plastic planks under the cushions did not remedy the broken springs. No matter where sat, you "leaned" toward the middle.
The location was quiet & convenient. The back yard could be an wonderful place if there was a little clean up done.
Someone needs to check the listed supplies before the new tenants arrive. We had to buy garbage bags and dishwasher detergent since there was none there.

Owner's Response: Thank you for your review. We certainly appreciate constructive criticism and strive to correct issues as they arise. The loveseat has been replaced and the yard crew has freshened the grounds. As we have had wild temperature swings here it has thrown lawn crews for a loop. We would have been more than happy to provide additional seating if needed since our office is only 10 blocks away. As for supplies, we have a wonderful supply of just about anything you need. All you need to do is ask and we would be there in a flash. Thanks again.

Sunflower Cottage......a great vacation getaway!

My husband and I and our dog recently stayed at this cottage......we left with a good feeling about it, and we will have good memories of our experience there, hoping to return again. Actually, we would most likely stay in any rental offered by its very accommodating owners who were most friendly and on call with immediate answers to our questions or for any needs. The cottage was clean, comfortable, well-maintained, equipped with all essentials, and tastefully decorated. It had a nice front yard with seating on the front porch and a fenced-in back yard with a deck and picnic facilities. We loved the quiet neighborhood, the proximity to the lovely town of Hendersonville, and the friendliness of everyone we met on our daily walks. It was also a very easy drive to the great city of Asheville and so many other area attractions. We would stay at this cottage again in a heartbeat, and we would not hesitate to recommend it to others. Loved it! M.J. Johnson

Quiet retreat after a day of sightseeing.

The owners have put a lot of thought into making our stay enjoyable. The furnishings, cooking equipment, appliances, comfortable beds, quiet neighborhood make for a great visit. The location is near everything you will need for a home away from home. When you go for walks, be prepared to wave at everyone who walks or drives by...Hendersonville people are friendly!

Cute little cottage - interesting time

Except for a few things, this little cottage had everything we needed for our long term stay. The queen size bed was nice - the back bedroom was just so comfortable and warm. And the quality sheets and extra towels where also a surprise.
It took us a few days to get use to just one floor as we have 3 at home, but soon the charm took us over.
We did use the WIFI and the DVD player - the owner even made sure the cable was in working order. (The owner was exceptionally nice.)
Town was only about a mile away and it was very easy to find our way around. Restaurants are plentiful in town. We usually went to Hannah Flanagan’s for a quick bite and it was always good food.
I felt safe walking my dog around the area and the all neighbors I met were pretty friendly.
We would recommend this property, I am sure you will enjoy staying there and enjoy Hendersonville… with one exception – ‘watch the trees!’ (ha-ha)

What a pleasant surprise! This cottage should be called "Little Jewel" as that is exactly what its is. We booked last minute and didn't know what to expect, but everything was wonderful: clean, neat and lovely. It's the perfect choice for anyone who wants a relaxing getaway with all of the essential comforts of home. We would book it again in a heartbeat
