If you enjoy a vacation at your own pace, Casa Inglesa is the place for you! It's location allows you to enjoy the beautiful beach without all of the cruise or hotel crowds to ruin it for you, yet you are only a block away from a row of taxis waiting to serve. I recommend that you save the money you would have spent on a rental car and use the taxis.

The owner is so very, very easy to work with and the on-site agent is incredible. They make quite a team to help make your stay feel almost as if you are at one of those expensive all-inclusive hotels.

You will love the local iguana who visits the compound regularly. The pool and rooftop common area are so inviting that you can't help but feel compelled to relax and enjoy.

I highly recommend that you enjoy some of the special attractions on the island: Chankenaab, the museum, the tequila farm, and festival Sunday in the town Square. Also, do not miss out on taking a trip over to the mainland to visit Chichen Itza and Tulum. Both trips should be on two different days so that you can spend a whole day at each location. Finally, make sure to snorkel, snorkel, snorkel!

At the end of the day, Casa Inglesa at the Hacienda Monte Cristo is perfect to come home to.

We will be back but this time with more family members to share the experience with. I have only been home from our vacation for a week now and already I have passed on contact information for Casa Inglesa and copies of our highlight video to several people excited to experience all that Cozumel has to offer. We stayed at Casa Inglesa January 30 - February 9th, 2009 and had a wonderful time. The entire experience went smoothly and we had absolutely no problems. Maria, the owner of the property, was very accomodating and was in contact with us throughout the duration leading up to our stay and once we arrived home. When we arrived, we had fresh fruit, water and snacks already stocked for us. The property was very clean and very well kept. The condo itself was beautiful. The beach was only a few steps away and we were able to use the owners' beach chairs and beach towels. Our contact in Cozumel, Ann, was amazing! She was so helpful and her recommendations were great! We were given a cell phone to use in case of emergency and when the battery in our car died, Ann was quick to bail us out of trouble. We absolutely recommend Casa Inglesa and we hope to stay there again in the (hopefully near) future.

I do recommend renting a car for at least a portion of your trip. We rented a vintage VW Bug from Rentadora Isis and again had excellent service. Their rates are very reasonable and Margarita was a joy to work with. On the eighth day of our trip our car battery died and once we called Ann, a couple of representatives from Isis met us with a new car in a matter of minutes.

We loved exploring the island and the East coast is not to be missed. We really enjoyed the beaches on the southern part of the island, particularly Playa Palancar.
We went snorkeling at Chankanaab, Playa Palancar, Punta Sur and the Money Bar. We're planning on diving on our next trip to Cozumel; however, the best shore snorkeling was definitely at the Money Bar. We had a wonderful time and it was our best vacation to date!

In preparing to write this review, I read the preceding two. I have to agree with both one hundred percent so I will try not to duplicate to much. The apt. was wonderful and very clean and the perfect size. The grounds and building are beautiful.Ann, who takes care of the guests was wonderful.Its the perfect place to relax and unwind with a nice quiet beach 2 minutes walk away. The whole island including the town was very clean and relaxing with friendly people.Very good sorkeling and diving or just sight seeing. I recomend renting a car from Isis as its the best and most cost effective way to get around.Maria the owner who you make reservations with is so friendly and helpful too, and made us feel so welcome.We would love to go back and explore some more or just live there in the apt.I would recomend Casa Inglesa to any one who was looking for a quiet, relaxing, romantic getaway not far from the city lights.My wife let me chose the place where we would stay this year and she loved it. I would recomend Casa Inglesa to our friends.We stayed almost 2 weeks which was not long enough.

My husband and I spent a week at Casa Inglesa for our anniversary and it was just perfect. The location is great. The sandy beach if only a few steps away and we had it all to ourselves. The location is great. You are far enough away from the crowds and bustle of town, but San Miguel is only minutes away, and it's a quick trip to and from the airport. If you golf, the golf course is right across the street.

The condo building is secure, charming and very quiet. Everyone we met was very friendly. The manager went out of her way to make sure we were satisfied. She recommended some wonderful local restaurants. Air conditioning, satellite TV and high-speed internet are all big pluses.

The roof deck has public access with breathtaking ocean views. If is complete with a lighted kitchen with 2 barbecue grills and a sink. We cooked our dinners there most nights and never encountered another tenant. Every day a couple came to clean the grounds and we realized that they also scooped the coals from the grill the next morning before we could get up there to clean it ourselves.

The pool is right outside your apartment door along with an outdoor shower, a lounge area, and a sheltered table with seating. You have a little patio outside your door, too. The apartment is clean, attractive, efficient, and very comfortable.

I suggest you rent a car, as a car is absolutely the way to go in Cozumel. Isis was recommended to us by the owner and they were great. They picked us up and took us back to the airport, plus they provided free parking in the center of San Miguel. The owner and her manager made sure we were satisfied with all aspects of our visit.

I suppose you might find a less expensive place to stay in Cozumel but it is an absolute bargain for such a lovely place right on a great beach and in a fantastic neighborhood. We recommend this apartment whole heartedly!
