Perfect for our vacation

This house was perfect for our dual family vacation to Disneyland parks. Even with 4 adults and 8 young children there was plenty of space for us to spread out (and find a quiet place if needed). The house was exactly as described and we appreciated all the little extras (toys, shampoo, basic kitchen supplies, high chair, baby bath chair, laundry facilities) The walk to Disney was on a nice street and took our crew about 30 minutes til we got through the gates (about 15 minutes to the parking tram or monorail station). Thanks for letting this be our "home" while on vacation!

Simply amazing!!!

There were so many great things about this experience that I am having trouble deciding what to focus on. The obvious things in this type of review, cleanliness, amenities, comfort and location, are a given and everything exceeded our expectations. The house was well kept and there is a lot to do. The beds and the seating are comfy and even with 9 of us we never felt crowded. There are games and a large variety of books to enjoy.
It is close enough to the park that we could come home in the hot hours and return later in the afternoon. We didn’t cut through the employee lot and it was still only about 20 minutes to the Monorail and 30 minutes to the front gate. This also saved us a small fortune by eating lunch outside of the park.
This was the first time in nine years we have been able to take a trip with the entire family because of conflicts between work, school and college. We were lucky enough to find this home rather than two or three hotel rooms and it allowed us to all be under the same roof so we could easily visit with everyone. As it turned out the house, what we thought would just a roof over our heads and beds to sleep in, became one of our fondest memories of the trip. Everyone loved it immediately because it was beautiful, but as we stayed we began to realize it was so much more. It was relaxing and it was pleasant, and it actually enhanced the experience of our trip. Everyone was comfortable and every area was big enough to accommodate anyone who wanted to be in the room. As a result, we spent about half the time in the park and half the time at the house. Most of the time in the house was spent visiting with everyone. If we were cooking, sitting in the living room, sitting outside or playing in the house, it didn’t matter… everyone was involved. We could not have wished for a better experience.
The pictures cannot do justice to the atmosphere of this home and there are so many little extras and niceties that were just a pleasant surprise. Everyone found a little something that they thought was unique and special about the house. Even something as simple as the fragrant lotion in the bathroom (my wife loved that one), sometimes the little things can mean so very much. On top of all of that Frances was great and so thoughtful about everything. She and her husband have done everything right and they are genuinely nice people.

Wonderful vacation home

What a wonderful trip we had to Disneyland with our two daughters and six grandchildren, ages 3-17. This home had something for everyone and was immaculate. Watching the fireworks from the front yard was great on the nights we weren't actually there! Frances provided so much helpful information on everything from the parks to the grocery stores. We felt like we had known her for years! Will definitely be back!

Excellent vacation, again.

This was our second stay. We absolutely recommend this home. We have two kids, ages 3 and 1, who love to play with the toys and run around in the backyard. It's a really nice home. Themepark food gets old after the first day, and we'd rather prepare home cooked meals in the gorgeous kitchen. Frances is the best. We'll keep coming back for sure.

Everything we could have asked for!

Our stay at this VRBO vacation was everything we could have asked for, and more! Frances was prompt, organized, and thorough with her communication with us the whole time leading up to our stay and while we were there. Upon arrival she greeted us and gave us a tour of this wonderful home. My husband and brother-in-law were particularly pleased with the foosball and ping pong tables, while I was impressed with the selection of fruits in the kitchen and on the trees out back, along with yummy hershey kisses left for us on the dining table. We had a group of 11 adults and this house suited us very nicely. Everyone had their own bed..... no air mattresses needed as I found would have been the situation with other VRBO rentals in the area. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we could have possibly needed! We also traveled with our nearly 2 year old daughter and there were many toys and books to keep her entertained while we were at the house. There were also strollers and porta cribs available for our use. Although we didn't actually use the backyard much during our stay since we were busy at the Disney parks, it was very well-maintained and inviting with a waterfall, hot tub, and BBQ. We walked to the Disney Parks each day during our stay. We found it took about 15 minutes to get to the monorail stop in Downtown Disney. From there the monorail would take us directly into Tomorrowland in Disneyland. Overall everyone in our group had such a fantastic stay! We will definitely be contacting Frances and John again when planning our next trip to the "Happiest Place on Earth"!

We vacationed with our grown children, their spouses and two grandchildren and stayed in this lovely house. The owner of this property was terrific and didn't leave a stone unturned, paying attention to the smallest details! It was truly so much better than renting 3 impersonal hotel rooms - we could all be together, cook meals together and there was plenty of room for everybody! The orange and grapefruit trees out back were a real treat each morning as we went picking for breakfast! The hot tub was wonderful after a day of walking in Disneyland. The one mile walk to Disneyland was refreshing and much less stressful than having to drive and worry about parking! Body wash, shampoo, luxurious towels, robes, a wonderfully equipped kitchen with many basics are just a few of the details this owner goes to the trouble to provide. The neighborhood was nice and quiet. We would most definitely rent this home again!

This was our second time in a VRBO and we were very impressed! Everything we could possible need was at our finger tips which made our stay most enjoyable. The central location made it easy to get around and after long days of walking it was so nice to soak in the hot tub! Thank-you for all the thoughtful details, can’t wait to visit again!

Great Stay. Will do it again!

Our first time renting a house for a Disneyland vacation was an excellent experience. The house is as shown in the pictures. Everything is very modern with nice updates. Frances was very prompt in all correspondence and has the whole process down to a science. Anything you need to know about the house and surrounding area are in the house somewhere.
We were a family of 6 and a family of 4. We had 6 children age 6 months to 15 years. They all loved staying here. The house is a very short walk to Disneyland/California Adventures. It took us 15-20 minutes each time. After the long days at Disneyland the hot tub was a wonderful. There are 3 bathrooms with a shower in each, and with everyone taking showers, there was still plenty of hot water.

Wonderful home for any group!

This home has everything you need. We stayed for 6 nights with 4 adults and 5 children ages 1-55. Frances has everything from a few snacks/food items, treats, strollers, high chair, toys, blow dryer, curling iron, every possible kitchen utensil, paper, plastic, glassware, grilling needs, California information, directions and much more. Being able to do laundry was great for us beach-goers and theme park-ers.
Disneyland is right next door. The walk took us 15 minutes because you have to walk around to Downtown Disney, there is no way to go through, but we loved being so close. Some days we did drive and park and take advantage of 3 hours free parking because we were too tired to walk. At the end of a long day my kids were ready to be in the stroller or not have to walk home, including my 5 and 3 year old. So sometimes we tried to work out a driver to pick us up or park after dinner breaks.
The home is on the west side of Disneyland and the area was not busy at all, the street quiet, you would never know D-land was 3 doors down. It was a clean neighborhood and we had no issues there.
We realized that paying for this home was about the same as decent hotel rooms for our group. This was 100 times better. People have rooms to sleep in while others stay up or sleep in. 3 bathrooms got everyone ready with no problems of crowding. Cooking a meal was better than always eating out, and like I said before, the laundry situation was wonderful.
Frances is great to answer questions and very prompt in responding to emails/calls. She does have to let you in the house (we have stayed in some homes where the owner mails you the key and you can enter when you please), and she ended up waiting for us to get there because the drive took longer than planned. But she was kind and very knowledgeable and helped answer our questions.
We would return in a heartbeat and would recommend this home to everyone, any age.

Perfect place to stay for a Disney trip

This is such a beautiful house. Frances has set it up so well, we felt so welcomed. She has every little detail well thought out. From tips on how to get here and there around disney downtown, to printed out maps for your use, and much much more. The kitchen is stocked with all the essentials and more. It was a wonderful experience. There were 10 of us and we ALL loved the house. Toys and games for the kids. The jacuzzi and beautiful water falls outside, with fruit trees and beautiful flowers. Right next door to disney - you honestly can't get any closer to convenience than this. Thank you John and Frances, we will definitely be back.
