Perfect Easter weekend

This is an amazing property which exceeded all our expectations. The property was exceptionally clean on our arrival and looked even better than the photos. It was very spacious for our party of 4 adults and 2 children (8 and 10) and catered for all ages. The tree house and play equipment in the garden was a huge hit with the kids, allowing the adults to relax in the beautiful surroundings. The beds were super comfy and all rooms very tastefully decorated. The kitchen was well stocked with all the essentials and provided all the equipment needed to cook whatever you wanted.
We had fantastic weather which enabled us to enjoy the great outdoor space. (fire pit,BBQ, hammock, ample outdoor furniture) The sunsets were beautiful from the deck. The nearby coves are within easy walking distance and are breathtakingly beautiful.
We all said this was the best house we had ever stayed in and were sad to leave after a wonderful and relaxing long weekend. We would recommend this property to anyone looking for a relaxing break - it is lovely and secluded, but easy enough to get to facilities. The owner was always extremely helpful in answering any questions we had, and the whole booking process was very smooth and problem-free.

What a beautiful house, even better than the pictures show. Like our daughter said, it is not just the master bedroom that is nice with all the others little boxes - all four are beautiful. Our group of 8 was thrilled with the pool table, spacious kitchen, open concept, lots of elbow room. We loved the firepit outside, even in the rain, and the woodstove inside. Many kitchen essentials were there to support our groceries for four days of feasting; I would recommend this rental to everyone interested in staying on the west coast. Peter was great, answered our many questions promptly after booking and supplied us with helpful lists. We enjoyed the hiking and beaches of Mayne Is.; loved the Japanese Garden. A definite yes for future get togethers.

Beautiful home with a humble VRBO ad

The spaceteam and I were taken aback at how beautiful this rental was! A great retreat for everyone after the hectic holidays. I would stay here again and recommend it to others.
One thing to note: the house offers all the amenities you could ever need! Including waffle maker, hair dryer (in each bathroom), hair straightener, lots of DVDs, puzzles to wile away the time and lots of spices/herbs for cooking.
You won't be disappointed! Mayne Island is a beautiful getaway!

Amazing Weekend Away

A large group of us stayed in this beautiful cottage for the weekend. I was a bit nervous about booking online without having seen this place, but I can tell you that it is more beautiful in person than the photos. It is spacious, comfortable, beautiful upkept. The sunset from the large patio is incredible. This place will not disappoint and the owner is so lovely to deal with.
Highly recommended and will definitely go back if the opportunity arises!

Stunning, Peaceful Retreat

Upon arrival at the Mayne island house, we were all awestruck. Not only was the house amazing, but the surrounding landscape was not only beautiful, but peaceful as well.
The home itself was beyond what was described in the listing.
The place was spotlessly clean and the owners were a pleasure to deal with.
We kayaked the nearby bays, plunged into the water, and out again very quickly. And, at one of the owners suggestions, we took an beautiful hike up Mt. Parke. The view is well worth the climb.
It was an amazing getaway on a fabulous, welcoming island. And, it was just a lovely boat ride away.
The home itself was beyond what was described in the listing.

Beautifully appointed home

We used this gorgeous property as a home base for our daughter's wedding on Mayne. It was perfect! The kitchen is stocked with every appliance needed for entertaining, from crock pot to mixmaster and coffee grinder, and is spacious for food preparation and serving. The living/dining room and deck areas were ideal for the rehearsal dinner party. There were wonderful views of Miners Bay from the upper deck and picnic areas, where we watched the sunset, ferry boats and an exciting summer storm. Everything was spotless and of superior quality. We appreciated the helpfulness of the owner in answering all of our myriads of questions as we prepared for this special occasion. There was provision for bike riding, horse shoe pitching, sunbathing, playing pool, and a delightful tree house. We hope to return for festive occasions with our new extended family. Mayne Island is one of our favourite places on earth and this house is one of its treasures!

This house was perfect!! Spacious and great if traveling
with kids. The playhouse was a hit
and also the bonfire pit in the back yard for

Beautiful and modern Mayne Island getaway

My 3 friends and I stayed at this home in early June for a girls weekend away from the city. The house is beautiful and immaculate - you can tell the owners built it and take care of it with love. We cooked all our meals at the house and the kitchen is well-stocked with everything you might need for cooking & baking. If the sun comes out, you can enjoy it on the deck with a nice view of the ocean peeking through the trees. It was so relaxing that I'm feeling relaxed thinking of it while I write this review! It was the perfect place to come to unwind and spend time with friends, and I will definitely be coming back in the future.

What a beautiful place!! We danced our faces off, hiked, made it to the store by 6:00 PM, ate all the delicious food on the island, met some locals, went to the beach, got "lucky" at the liquor store, enjoyed drinks on the deck in the sun, made friends (stalkers) on the ferry and look forward to a return to this wonderful cabin.
