Bright and spacious, comfortable house on Casco Bay with sea views from almost every window. Ample decks, covered and open, gas-fired bar-BQ. New dock and access to shore. Well maintained, modernized and fully furnished: kitchen with new appliances; gorgeous views from large stylish dining area; sitting room with TV and stereo; reading room, mud room, washer/dryer, spacious bedrooms. Great rural setting for 1 or 2 families. Kayaking and canoeing from your back door. Beautiful forested 5-acre lot situated near end of Wolfe's Neck (see map), beyond state park and farm. Spectacular sunrises, sunsets, and fall foliage. Just 10 minutes to highway or excellent shopping in Freeport village with LL Bean and 100 outlet stores. Fine dining or casual restaurants, fresh lobsters, festivals, golf, art galleries, museums, theater, beaches, fishing, boating, and sailing opportunities. Visit Portland's historic Old Port with ferries to islands, fresh seafood, and unique shops. Enjoy Maine its best.

Note: Since the house has essentially two master bedrooms and two double bedrooms, it is ideal for two couples, with or without children.

Super Short Getaway

What a wonderful place to relax and get away from all the modern day schedules. We roughed it for 4 days/3 nights and could not ask for better. Three guys from the hectic ways of the Hartford, Ct area.

Away from it all and still close enough to civilization for whatever you need. Jim DeGrandpre is an excellent host and answered our questions with a wealth of knowledge. Try the local beef on the grill with a side of lobster. Surf and turf at its homemade best!
This is a vacation spot away from it all. Sit back on the deck and watch the lobster boats pull their pots directly in front of you.

Hope to return again Jim if you will have us. Will have to bring the wives next time. Such a nice place that they will also wish for a longer stay.

Family of Ages One to 95 Loved It

We rented this house during June 2009 for our extended family that ranged from a 1-1/2 year old to a 95 year old great grandmother. In spite of perhaps the rainiest week of the year, we had a wonderful time. We visited a state park beach on the sunny day, the local Craft Fair just up the road one day, L.L. Bean on the monsoon day, and watched our young grandson throw rocks picked up on the beach back into the water every day. Early risers of our group got to see deer in the yard, and briefly, one morning, a fox. This house was a convenient and very comfortable gathering place for us as we arrived from our North Carolina, Arizona and Ireland homes and relaxed together for a week. The kitchen was well equipped and made preparing the lobster feast we enjoyed, along with other meals, easy. The only negative we could mention about the house is no first floor bedroom for elderly guests use. But, for us, that was just like home; we must help grandmother up the stairs when she stays at our house, also.

Great Weekend

We stayed for a long weekend in May. The house was situated in a very private area. The house was clean and well equipped, grilling with views of the bay was especially nice. We enjoyed the wonderful views of the bay and the abundant wildlife including an Osprey nest with chicks we could see from the deck. We went for a walk in the state park about 1/2 mile up the road and were able to take a Kayaking class from LL Bean that explored the surrounding waters. It was a great weekend.
