Wonderful family get-away

I would absolutely recommend this property for a quiet, relaxing, and thoroughly enjoyable summer break. The house is clean, comfortable, cozy -- and private. My family and I enjoyed the deck and the grill; my sons played in the backyard; we walked to the beach everyday that we were here. The area is beautiful and convenient (grocery store and laundry only a short drive; restaurants, shops, and beach walkable). The owners are friendly and very organized. Wish we rented two weeks, not just one.

Home away from home

We have rented vacation homes in the past but this one was far better than the rest. It is located on a quiet dead end street and nearby to several local attractions. There are several nearby beaches we walked to. Every evening we set out for a stroll to the lighthouse, where we were able to take our dog and enjoy unwinding the busy day with a quiet place to relax. There are some great local restaurants within walking distance when we did not feel like cooking. Otherwise, we make it a point to have a casual meal out on the deck with the grill in use. The cottage is very spacious and comfortable. My favorite room was the front porch where I found it quiet and cozy to relax and read a book or magazine during some down time. The cottage is very clean, well kept and well decorated. I would highly recommend this cottage to anyone with children and/or pets.

Great place!

My wife and I needed a vacation in the worst way. We saw the pictures and read the reviews and decided to rent this house for a week. What a great decision! The reviews were right on. Great house, (clean, comfortable, cozy) Great location, (can walk to almost everything), and Great owner (Bill gave us a print out for just about everything we needed including great places to eat). I would recommend this house to couples who just need to get away.
Owner's Response: Thanks Tony and Brooke. It was great having you guys and I hope to see you for next years vacation! It's nice to hear that our guests love the home and it's location as much as we do. Best of luck,Bill

The place is very comfortable, on a quiet dead end street, and the patio is a plus that adds to the pleasure of living there. We also enjoyed the deck where we basked in the sun and ate delicious fresh lobsters cooked on the barbecue, as well as the garden where two small rabbits were saying hello every morning... a fairy tale indeed! There is a small beach close by, where we went every night with our two little Pomeranians who were very happy to run on the sand and a large park where they could also play around. The fancy beaches of Narragansett are only a few miles from the place and the beauty of the waves is worth the trip. The food is so delicious with fresh lobsters, fresh fish all around that I was rarely tempted by restaurants.... although we tried a couple of real good ones nearby. There are a lot of places to go sightseeing and I enjoyed the sound of the fog horn at night from the lighthouse. Everything is less expensive than in New York City, and I took advantage of this to go to antiques stores and bring back a lot of items. Come rain or shine, we were so happy there that my husband, my two dogs and I feel now frustrated to have left it behind. It was as if we were far from the world, far from stress, far from computerized life (though, to stay updated, I brought my laptop and the Internet connection in the house is very convenient). What else? Oh yes! One other thing that you don't find every day: the kindness of the owner (Bill) who wants his guests to feel comfortable, who replied right away to our requests and gave us his time to look for places that made our vacation perfect. Thank you so much Bill, and we sincerely hope to come back next year!

Great beach House!

We really enjoyed this wonderful house! It is in an ideal location in Point Judith and you can walk to the famous Aunt Carrie's and Iggy's for clam cakes and chowder! The house is very comfortable, was clean and had everything you need for a stress free time. The owner is very helpful and friendly and a person you feel you have known for a long time. He even gave us some great tips for restaurants! My daughter recently moved to this area and we will be visiting often so we hopefully will be able to use this great house again!

Great Location/Great Property

Ideally situated in Point Judith, short walk to beach and some of the best clam cakes in Rhode Island at famous Aunt Carries! We enjoyed the beautiful sea breezes and quiet atmosphere of this newly remodeled 2 bedroom home with four adults. Plenty of room, all the amenities! Five minutes from Galilee and the freshest seafood in RI. We ate breakfast overlooking the Block Island Ferry and watched the lobster boats unloading their fresh morning catch of crabs and lobsters. Picked out 6 of the best 2 lb. lobsters I have tasted in years. Sat on the deck of this lovely home and enjoyed lobster and fresh RI steamers. MMMmm!

Bill and his family are helpful without being obtrusive. They welcomed us upon arrival, showed us the home, left a number in case of emergency and left us to enjoy this comfortable and cozy home. We will be back.
