The house is in a GREAT location, close to everything you need. Beautifully decorated with a interesting art collection that can tell stories. Very large selection of DVD's for when you are in the house and not out enjoying the many sights around the area. Absoultly enjoyed my stay here.

A delightful and comfortable home to visit. As opposed to the usual "same old" furnishings, it is decorated with interesting antiques and various types of art...the longer you're there the more details you notice about them. Beds are comfortable, kitchen well stocked and a very nice and open floor plan with plenty of space. It has two very comfortable porches perfect for relaxation or reading. If you have the opportunity to meet the owner you'll find her to be interesting, pleasant and most accomodating.

House was beautiful, roomy, clean, perfect for our girls get away. A very short walk to the beach, about 2 minutes, close to shopping and sites. We had a great trip and will come back next summer! Keri

We visited Oct 10th thru October 13th. Excellent stay.
All descriptions are extremely true . Debra is a very
personable woman. We truly enjoyed our stay and her company. We highly recommend this to everyone. Excellent location to beach and Charleston and The Citadel. We will stay here when in town over the next 4 years.

I am not usually here on weekends, but this great family invited me up for a family dinner on thier last night when I was here. I know I'm not supposed to address this guest in particular, but it really felt like home to me to be part of such a nice family. And the Italian food was just like my Grama used to make! Comfortable, very clean, spacious, with excellent linens, beds and furnishings. House has an eclectic array of artwork and collectables, which was enjoyable to peruse in itself! Great location right across the street from the beach, and close to downtown museums and sites. We are coming back next summer!

The description and reviews are very accurate with the exception that the landlord lives downstairs. It was an advantage to us! We were able to recieve local advice on restaurants and attractions, getting a better taste of local flair and traveling off the beaten path. The landlord was extreamly friendly while being very respectful of privacy. The home is very clean and well-maintained having everything we needed. It is a very comfortable and inviting house. The beds and linens were a dream! The layout of the house was perfect for our group, having a large dinning room to gather, yet seperate "living areas" for smaller groups. It's in a perfect location, a very relaxed area with the heart of Charleston just a short drive away. The beach is truley just a short 2-3 min. walk away. We would definately stay there again!
Owner's Response: I take pride in my beach home, and take very good care of it. I purchase high quality linens and all of the beds and pillows are new. I do all the cleaning and maintenance myself and am very responsive to your needs. I will be here to greet you, and offer suggestions as far as local dining (where to eat and where not to eat ;) if you like. I often stay downstairs (in a separate apartment with a separate entrance). You may see me tending to the garden, but often won't see me at all. I also travel with my job often, and may not be here at all, but I leave local menus, maps and tour guides to help you seek out the best local sights, dining and attractions.

Let me begin by thanking the owner, Debbie, for such a wondeful stay. This was a dream come true. Eclectic Beach House is absoulutely correct. The motif ranged from the medieval period, to the Civil War days,to traditional and then yet again modern day appointments.
The house was well equipped with all the every day but high end kitchen appiances, great sleeping quarters, and overall very comfortable and well furnished living area, to include several traditional Charleston porches. And the beach, which is only steps away, is gorgeous. And by the way, the area is a golfer's dream with its many great golf courses all within reasonable driving distance.The city of Charleston, which is but a short drive, is very scenic and there are wonderful restaurants abound. I really am looking forward to next year's vacation at this lovely Beach House location. My thanks to the owner for keeping such a well cared for and appointed vacation house.

Awesome is the best way to describe our experience in this absolutely gorgeous eclectic Beach House. The furnishings were incredible with all the historic, artistic and conversation pieces. This house has all the amenities to include upscale kitchen, HDTV plasma TV with a wide array of DVDs for that rainy day, its many porches, and very complete and comfortable quarters overall. The location is great being so close to the beach, and a beautiful beach it is. And the proximity to Charlston is just right. I am already looking forward to next year's vacation at this awesome home away from home. Climate was also great.

Two huge bedrooms and one smaller one. Kitchen with fancy appliances. Extensive DVD collection and huge monitor. Short walk to beach. This house is a wonderful break from the ordinary.

Owner's Response: Joachim and all of our guests enter our beach house with a big WOW, every time. Not what they expected, the home is not your ordniary rental, not filled with hand me down furnishings and old beds. We take great pride in keeping the home immacuately clean, and decorate with fun and unusual furniture and collectables from the low counrty area antique malls, auction houses and art galleries. The beds are new, with high quality linens, and new plush towels in the baths.
We also get rave reviews over the extensive and diverse DVD collection, the comfortable layout of the home, the well kept garden and the Marilyn Monre collection of photo's and artwork.
On top of the great house and a relaxing quiet neighborhood, we are a short three minute walk to the beach. We keep beach chairs and beach towels for your convenience. The new kitchen is outfitted with awsome Mikassa dinner and glassware and stocked with paper/plastc products, spices, sugar, cofee filters, and even gormet coffee. Everyone just loves it, and that makes everyone happy. We have had wonderful guests! An array of traveler from all over the country and the world!
