Excellent, excellent, excellent!! Everything was perfect. The house is very bright (lots of windows), decor absolutely beautiful and very clean. Linens, towels provided along with 6 bikes which are great for cycling down to the beach. The owner & the housekeeper provided excellent customer service. My friends & I highly recommend this gem located in town overlooking the port. No need for car unless you want to explore outskirts of Kennebunkport. Shopping wonderful, restaurants delicious & locals are extremely friendly and courteous.
This is the best property rental I have ever stayed at.

The Perfect House

This house is everything it promised to be, and more. The decore is quintessential Maine, as you can see from the pictures, but, believe it or not, it looks even better in person The location is incredible...easy to walk anywhere, and great views from every window. An added bonus is the art gallery next door has amazing sculptures all over their yard, which you get to enjoy. We had a special Valentine's Family Dinner, and the house provided an excellent place to host it, for all ages. I would certainly recommend this house, if you're looking for a top notch property, this is the place for you.

For my first visit to New England, and my husband's re-introduction to his homeland, we couldn't have found anywhere more perfect. The location in town was great. (We were glad not to feel isolated on our first visit.) We could walk almost anywhere. The decor of the home was beyond fantastic. Rustic charm of an older home combined with the Maine coastal theme, with all the upgrades we desired. We can't wait to return and share the experience with our grown children. Everyone we encountered during the rental process was delightful. Favorite spot...the wonderful deck with the dock view! Comparing our location with neighboring towns, we were so glad we chose Kennebunk. Much more authentic, less touristy, we felt.

Our time here was heavenly. The house was absolutely beautiful, so well-appointed, and in a perfect location, overlooking the harbor and just steps from everything the Port has to offer. We were lacking for nothing in this great home. The house had everything we could possibly need and want - and more! We loved every minute!!!

We have been coming to this property for the past 6 years and the new owner is spectacular. The property has been renovated, maintaining the charm of the past but adding some much needed improvments. There are now many areas of the house in which to relax and enjoy great family time together. Combined with the close proximity to dock square and all of the conveniances, there are few other properties in which can match it.

The beach is a short walk away, so it is quite possible to arrive and not use the car for the rest of the week. If you are like us, you only need the car to peruse the local antiques and hit the farmer's market at Stonewall Kitchens. We eagerly look forward to going back next year!

Dream week in Kennebunk, Maine

Staying in Bluebrier was like being in a beautifully restored historic inn right in the heart of Dock Square with a view of the boats passing into the harbor right from our own porch. The porch was perfectly appointed with the most comfortable chairs, swing and cushions..the perfect spot for cocktails and people watching. The kitchen was state of the art and included everything we could ever need; beautiful plates, glasses, appliances, sharp knives and even an electric wine opener!
The entire home has been recently rennovated and is lovingly decorated as beach house extraordinaire with a real Maine nautical decor; one antique cabinet is filled with everything you could ever need for a lobster feast right down to the napkin rings. The bathrooms... all sparkling new, plently of hot water and pressure and lovely towels including beach towels. The bedrooms and mattresses were wonderful and the bed linens scrumptious.
Highlights were bike riding in town and to the beach (bikes were provided), shopping and late night runs for ice cream in Dock Square. All the restaurants are great but you will want to take advantage of the great kitchen for some seafood dinners. We tried all the lobster rolls in town; our favorites were from Maria's take out in Dock Square, Allison's and Maine Diner. The property manager Maryanne checked on us several times and made herself available for beach and restaurant recommendations; felt like we had our own concierge. Five Star Rental!!!
