Excellent vacation spot

Murphy's mom Holderness, NH
Review Submitted: August 11, 2009 Date of Stay: August 2009
My family rented this house in August for 5 days and found it to be a wonderful quiet place. There is a screened porch on the front of the house that is a wonderful place to just sit and enjoy the outdoors. The house is stocked with everything you could possibly need for linens, and cookware. Overall a great place.

Review Submitted: July 1, 2009 Date of Stay: June 2009
The description and pictures did not do this place justice. It is beautiful. We had such a great time. My 11 year old and I went. We went swimming, walking through the woods, fishing, sitting by the fire and best of all were the ATV trails. We brought our 4 wheelers. The trail head was a mile away and the trails were some of the best I have ever ridden. I cant wait to go back again.

Snowmobilers Dream Rental

Jeff and Dawna Goffstown NH
Review Submitted: January 5, 2009 Date of Stay: December 2008
Words cannot express the time we had at Camp 51. It comfortably fit 6 adults, all of our clothes, 6 snowmobiles and all of our gear. It has a beautiful design and was extremely comforting. The pictures don't even do it justice. Camp 51 was all we asked for and more, it is the perfect Pittsburg getaway for the snowmobiler, hiker, hunter and fisherman. We will also be renting this place in the summer. When we walked in we were all in awe. IIt had all the ammentities of my own home. The location was beautiful and very private with access to back lake or trail 5. The camp was very clean, and extremely well maintained. It was everything and more that was stated on this website. My wife and I have been coming to Pittsburg for years and this is the best place we have stayed at. Rich was awesome to work with and everything was exactly where he said it would be. I would definitly reccomend this place to a friend. We are staying here two more times this year and will definitly be booking for years to come. Rich, Thanks again for allowing us to rent your beautiful home.

Homey and Cozy

Jane and Richard Concord, NH
Review Submitted: November 7, 2008 Date of Stay: November 2008
We spent two nights at Camp 51 and found it exceeded our expectations. The camp is cozy and functional with everything we needed from dishes to pots and pans and linens. The wood, stone and tile construction make for an organic, warm feeling throughout, joining rustic sense with contemporary style, and Rich's metal-work embellishments add contrast and sophistication. Hiking and wildlife viewing opportunities abound. The view from the Magalloway fire tower is fabulous and well worth the 45 minute hike. The local folks were friendly and helpful. If you want to go out and explore the great north wood's nooks and crannys or just relax in the quiet splendor of the northern forest reading a book in the screened porch, Camp 51 is your place. Rich was very nice and easy-going, we felt like we were renting from a friend rather than a property owner. Thanks Rich for sharing your lovely cabin.

A great place to stay

John & Dot Derry, NH
Review Submitted: August 26, 2008 Date of Stay: August 2008
My wife and I truly enjoyed our stay at Camp 51. Rich was great to work with and responded immediately to all of our emails. The camp is exactly as advertised. It even has a new screened in porch that really completes the place. The camp was very clean and the recent remodel couldn't have been done better. We really enjoyed how quiet it was there. We saw moose, deer and a fox just a short drive away. We will be back at camp 51 as soon as we can.

Silence and Simplicity

bnn Thomaston, CT
Review Submitted: July 23, 2008 Date of Stay: July 2008
I had never traveled to the farthest north reaches of New Hampshire but renting "Camp 51" and spending some time in the Pittsburg, NH area was just great. The "camp" (more like a really cute ski lodge or cabin) sits back from a meandering dirt road and has every convenience to make your stay comfortable. The interior is new and immaculate with simple contemporary lines. The property is a short walk from the water's edge of Back Lake down a private right of way. At night star gazing is great either from the camp yard or the water's edge. There is the welcome sound of nothing, save for an occasional burst of laughing loons.

Negotiations with Rich were effortless and he went the extra miile to fill a request I had made for my visit. If and when I get back to the Pittsburg area again (and I hope to soon) I will book a return stay!

Working with Rich was a pleasure. The camp was as advertised. It was very clean, quiet and private. We were very happy to be able to bring our dog with us on our vacation so she could share our experience in "The Great North Woods". I would recommend this cabin to a friend.
Thanks Rich,
Karen and Ken
