A wonderful week in DC

Winslow Aptos, California
Review Submitted: October 25, 2008 Date of Stay: October 2008
I would just like to say what a wonderful week my family and myself had in DC, partly because of Adam's house. What a wonderful place to stay. Clean, emaculate, top-notch accommodations. Plenty of room for everyone. It was very nice to be able to come back there at the end of a long site-seeing day in DC, and be able to cook a nice dinner just like at home and kick the shoes off and relax. We could not of been more happy with the place and the location. Your host, Adam, sees to EVERYTHING you could possibly ask for, and then some. I have already reccommended his house to others I work with.

Thanks Adam,
Win
Owner's Response: Thank you or your appreciation Will. We are so proud that we contributed to your excellent stay in D.C.. We are dedicated to offer excellent housing and service to our guests and we look forward to receiving you and your friends anytime.

Home away from Home

Review Submitted: August 20, 2009 Date of Stay: August 2009
We stayed at Adams place in August 2009. It was very clean, spacious place. We felt at home and the location was close to bus which we used every day even though we had our truck with us. My family was very happy and enjoyed having their own bed,and a kitchen so we did not have to eat out every meal and after 1 week on the road it was a pleasure. We would stay there again in a heart beat. Thanks a million Adam.

Very Comfortable Place

Loolu Phoenix, AZ USA
Review Submitted: January 29, 2009 Date of Stay: January 2009
"Five of us stayed for the week of the inaguration, and we had a great time. Adam thought we would really need a car, but we didn't. The public transportation system is fabulous. A bus stops right around the corner and it
can take you right to the Fort Totten metro station in a matter of minutes. The metro itself can get you close to almost anything in the city. We found cabs
rather easily, and the cost was not outrageous at all. And if you want to day trip out, you can always rent a Zip car for a day or so.

The house is very roomy and can easily handle a large group getting ready to go someplace. The bathroom downstairs can be very cold in the winter and it is
difficult to warm up without a space heater. If this is an issue for you, Adam will take care of it.

Adam lives downstairs so he is very available to offer any assistance that is needed. He really is dedicated to making sure his guests have a good time.

Probably the only drawback is that there aren't any nice restaurants in the area that you can walk to for meals. We learned to eat in town while we were out and
then ordered pizza and sandwiches to be delivered at night.

The neighborhood might give you the wrong impression at first, but we never had any problems. We really never felt unsafe, but you should know this is the situation so you are not overly concerned when you get there.

We would definitely stay there again when we return to D.C."
Owner's Response: We would like to thank this party for staying at Adam's Eden during such a historical moment. We also are so proud of their appreciation of the service rendered. Indeed, and upon inquiring on how they were doing, we learned that one of the three bathrooms was cold, even the whole house (according to one of the guests ). We made sure to fix the issue on the spot, (we realized that the temperature set was rather low) by setting the temperature higher, and by immediately providing a heater. By the time we brought the heater, it already felt fine and we felt very happy after confirming with all guests. A heater is available as a precaution. We really want to make sure that everything is perfect 24 hours a day.and we appreciate that guests let us know of any concern before we inquire, in order to correct any possible inconvenience. We always instruct our guests that they should not hesitate to ask because we sincerely don't mind at all responding to any request.

We are so thankful that they found the transportation system to be fabulous, confirming our response to a previous guest. However a car is convenient, (not necessary to visit the mall and most touristic attractions), if one wants to visit non-metro accessible attractions or dining in different places in the shortest possible time.
We would like to point out that there is one restaurant at walking distance and those guests who tried it and myself found it to be excellent. Other restaurants as well as Target, Best buy, etc, are within 2 easy miles from the house.

Finally, we are so grateful that they all had a great time in this home and by feeling comfortable walking in the neighborhood, even at very late hours.

Thanks Bonnie

I think that the title of this review says it all. The place is located in a safe, convenient part of D.C., the house has all the amenities of a comfortable home (hotel roooms do not even marginally compare), and Adam is an attentive and personable gentleman. I plan to recommend this property to all my friends, family members, and business associates who are planning a trip to D.C.

This townhouse was very clean and very comfortable. There were seven of us and we had plenty of room. The owner lives below and was available to answer our questions.

The one drawback was that the metro station was not within walking distance so we had to rely upon cars.
Owner's Response: Thank you for coming and I wish to say that there are metro bus stations at the corner of the house and there are three different buses that go to the metro that is located at 1.25 miles from the house. Also there is a big parking at the metro station that has three major metro lines serving D.C., MD, VA. Very convenient.
Welcome back
Regards,

Excellent Home away from Home

Very Happy Guest Atlanta, Georgia
Review Submitted: July 13, 2008 Date of Stay: June 2008
We had a wonderful home away from home for seven days.

Adam has done an excellent job in his renovations and the home is very comfortable and up-to-date. Our group consisted of six adults and everyone had plenty of room. The kitchen, dining room and living room are spacious for a group this size to gather and enjoy time and meals together. After full days of site seeing it was good to come "home".

Adam is a gracious host and available to take care of any needs you may have. I would recommend Adam's Eden Hideaway to anyone visiting Washington DC or the surrounding area.
Owner's Response: Thank you Skip, It was a pleasure having you and your family.

I stayed in Adams Eden for 10 days in June starting from 15th with my family of four and found very safe and very comfortable. It is very spacious and the kitchen was well equipped which most of the Ladies look for. Travelling from this place via metro bus/rail was convenient. Adam was very good host.

I stayed at Adam's with two friends for a week while attending a conference. Adam's place was very well maintained, he has done a good deal of work in remodeling this home very recently. We were very impressed with the amount of space, and of the new full kitchen. Adam was a gracious host, an honest and jovial man. We drove our car and there is parking for two. All three of us would highly recommend staying here, and would definitely stay at Adam's again when visiting DC.
