If you are looking for late nights, loud people, flashy Las Vegas-style accommodations, and the corporate fabricated "fun" of Paradise Island, then Manor of Love is NOT for you. If, however, you want a quiet, relaxing time on a beautiful, near-private beach in a waterfront property that is clean, well appointed, and comfortable, then you should really take a look at this place. The owner, Timothy Treco, and his family, are as nice as anyone you'd ever care to meet, and were most accommodating and helpful with all aspects of the rental process and our stay. I felt I was taking a bit of a gamble booking over the Internet a property I had never seen (or had not been personally recommended to me), and I cannot overstate what a pleasure it was finding that upon arrival all was as advertised - and the service was even better.
Advice regarding your stay: 1) Do NOT go to the Poop Deck Restaurant unless you like the name so much you want a shirt with their logo. The prices are high (to be fair, there is virtually no restaurant in Nassau that is not overpriced), the service is moderate, and the food is pedestrian at best. 2) DO go to the Beach Club Cafe - entrees are similarly priced, but the service, food, atmosphere and view are all infinitely better. 3) If you want a uniquely quaint and non-American experience, go to the Ardastra Zoo and Gardens. A little down-at-the-heel, but you get closer (touching distance) to the animals than any any place I've ever seen in the US. Ardastra is particularly good for kids under 12. 4) Check out the Straw Market downtown. You'll only ever need to go once, but it will make you appreciate your own lifestyle when you get home.
