EXCELLENT LOCATION!

What a location and what a vacation! Wow! The sunrise coming up over the Sea of Cortez was something I could not miss each morning. What a light show I could watch while sipping my coffee and watching the surfers. The listing photos were right on and the condo lived up to my high expectations. The condo was clean and ready for our arrival. We also rented the owners Surburban which is kept in the garage. Since we were first time visitors to Cabo, we were apprehensive about security, water, foreign currency issues, etc and the owner assured us that we had nothing to worry about. He was absolutely right and gave us all sorts of tips on where to eat, shop and visit. The grocery stores are minutes away so we get everyone we needed for the week's stay. The kitchen was fully stocked with all the pots and pans, dishes, glassess, utensils, etc that we needed for the days and evenings we cooked ourselves. The free internet in the room allowed me to keep connected to my business and the outside world while I was enjoying myself with the rest of my family.
While I'm not a surfer, I can understand why this is a SURFERS PARADISE! My family and I swam in the ocean and pool every day and enjoyed the warm sun. The hot tubs were a nice place to relax when the sun went down. We could walk miles on the beach each way and never touch the hot pavement.
This was a fantastic vacation and I would highly recommend to anyone wishing to enjoy Cabo in a quiet and secure area but close enough to drive to the party scene in Cabo San Lucas. This is a great place for families, couples, surfers and for those who just want to relax and read a book. We will visit again and plan to stay longer the next time.

This is the place to stay if you enjoy the beach--location is great and we could have stayed a month there. Having the suburban to rent was very convenient and we appreciated the staff that worked at the property. They did a great job. We are definately going back.

Las Olas VRBO #72938 is OUTSTANDING!

This must be the best condo in the whole complex. From the unobstructed views up and down the coastline to the very helpful and friendly security staff and other guests, this place rocks. The unit itself is very large, comfortable, beautifully decorated and the kitchen furnished with much more than anything you would possibly need. You could (I wouldn't) throw a rock into the pool or into the Sea of Cortez from the balconies. The owner is extremely responsive, very easy to deal with and super accommodating. He has equipped the condo with everything you could ever want (ice chests, snorkeling stuff, boogie boards, beach towels, tennis rackets even surfboards & bikes) to use. With only steps to the beach you can easily walk to stand up paddle board or surfing lessons, rentals of all kinds or a meal at Zippers Bar and Grill. We did take some excursions but there is so much to do in the area we ran out of time. My personal favorite was watching the beautiful sunrise over the ocean every morning and watching the surfers and the whales right from the condo. The pictures on VRBO are accurate but do not do justice to the actual experience. We would go back in a minute!! Thank you Dana.

Cannot recommend

The property was unprepared for our arrival on Christmas Day 2012; apparently there had been a miscommunication between the owner & his cleaning staff. The property was uncleaned, food & trash all over the kitchen, ants marching on the counter, dirty linens and laundry everywhere. Without a local number to contact, and with the owner uncommunicative for several hours, we were unsure how to proceed. The very few available hotel rooms on Christmas Night started at $500 per night and doubled the next day; and without being sure how long we'd have to arrange alternate accommodations for, we opted to cut our losses and buy one-way 3 hour plane tickets back to the Bay Area. Though the owner subsequently contacted us and refunded our fee, we are still out the original airfares, golf fees, rental car costs, and of course our holiday vacation. Cannot recommend.
Owner's Response: This is the first time this has ever happened in our 8 years of owning condos at Las Olas. Within 3 hours of their check-in time, we had offered them 5-star accommodation for the night, and ensured them that the condo would be clean and ready for them the following morning. They turned down the opportunity to stay at the 5-star hotel, and decided to leave the Cabo area. We immediately refunded the full amount they had paid us for their week-long stay. We've owned 3 different units at the Las Olas, and this is the only time something like this has happened.

Amazing life changing experience

My wife and two teenage daughters had an extended stay in this unit this past fall. We truly could have not had a more amazing time. There is no better view in any other buildings in Cabo. Every morning I woke up at sunrise, looked up from my pillow and glanced at the surf rolling in with the amazing morning colors. It was like watching a Picasso unfold every morning in my first moments of clearing my eyes. The condo is nicely appointed and we were very comfortable for our 3 month stay. The building is only steps from the surf and is the closest I have seen of any hotel, condo, or home in all of Cabo area. By the way, MEXICO IS CRAZY SAFE!!! Don't let anyone tell you differently. The people are amazingly helpful, watch out for you, and are simply wonderful people to make friends with. I feel safer here with my teenage daughters than home in the US. The owner is an amazing guy and extremely helpful with everything.

Relaxed On My Sunny Christmas Holiday

I've stayed at the Las Olas before renting a one bedroom. Upgrading to this 3 bedroom gave my family the space we needed.The view is spectacular which included whales on most days. The open plan kitchen was large and enjoyable to work in. Friendly grocery stores are near and easy to access with a car and have quality food. Glad we spent our Christmas there and will book again.

Needs TLC

This property does have spectacular views however it is in need of some care. The property is definitely "surface clean" however, there are vents, fans, and cupboards that need to be cleaned and tidied. I did some of this work myself because it bothered me. Also, I asked the owner if there was any road noise and was assured that no-one had previously complained--seriously?? There was a lot of road noise in two of the bedrooms in addition to lights shining in from highway. The door from the dishwasher fell apart mid-way through our stay and we searched in vain to find a screwdriver to replace the fallen screw. We weren't supplied with basic cleaning necessities such as soap, dishwasher detergent and even toilet paper. Finally, one week prior to arrival, I still had no information about how to access the property--the owner needs to be a lot more proactive with respect to this. All of that being said, would we return here, probably yes, but with the understanding of all of the previously mentioned limitations
