We have stayed at the Lodge at Fernie twice now and has become our favourite place to stay in Fernie. The house is very cozy and the kitchen is very well stocked. The owner is very accommodating and customer service is great.

Check out our review from December 2010. This was our second stay at the "Lodge" and because of it's comfort and our familiarity and fun from our last years stay, it felt like we were coming home to our own beautiful place. Once again we were able to celebrate an early Christmas with our adult children and our grandchildren. in a gorgeous spacious country lodge. Every couple having their own private room with 4 beautifully furnished bathrooms and sparkling glass showers. One bathroom even has an exquisite claw bathtub.
Carol is so wonderful at making sure every detail in the home is perfectly attended to and even provided incredible Christmas ambiance for us. Fresh Christmas pine and spruce arrangements and a decorated Christmas tree were thoughtfully placed throughout the lodge.
Outdoor fun included great snow for toboggan time and
our grandchildren age 4 and 5 tried skiing for the first time, with a lesson called ski and play at the Fernie ski hill. Hot tub time on the deck was extra special with giant snowflakes adding to the winter wonderland experience.
The indoor fireplaces are now gas and they keep the rooms very warm and cozy. There is also a fire pit just outside the deck area to enjoy marshmallow roasting or toast your toes after some winter fun.
The family time here is extra special for us and we hope to be able to continue to come here for many more years to come. Thank you to the owners for sharing your amazing lodge

Our group of 12 friends had an amazing time! The Lodge at Fernie is absolutely stunning! I could cook in that kitchen for the rest of my life! We really enjoyed checking out all of the antique furnishings and browsing through the bookshelf up in the loft. What an impressive collection! Everyone loved being there and didn't want to leave. We relaxed, laughed, cooked, ate great food, played games and soaked in the hot tub until we were prunes! Carol provided easy, stress free booking, great chats on the phone and is wonderful to deal with! Thanks so much Carol! A memorable weekend for all!

We just returned from our 3rd visit to the Lodge at Fernie and it just keeps getting better and better! The kitchen and bathroom renovations are beautiful and Carol and Dave's attention to detail makes this place truly amazing. From the beautiful furnishings to the kitchen stocked with all the equipment needed to whip up a gourmet meal to the fluffy towels and great bedding, this place has it all! You will not find another "rental" that feels so much like home. (The great proximity to the ski hill is also a plus.) The owners could not be easier or more pleasant to deal with! If you are planning a vacation in Fernie, this is THE place to stay. We are already looking forward to our next visit.

The Lodge at Fernie provided the most comfortable and beautiful accommodation we could have ever dreamed of for our family Christmas celebration. As a Christmas treat for my husband and I and our 4 adult children and their spouses we chose this lodge, as it is a perfect combination of natural and artistic beauty with cozyness and comfort of a country home. Immaculately cared for, this home welcomed all 5 couples to their own bedroom and 4 separate bathrooms. The master bedroom as one daughter in law commented "is a place for a princess" ! The gorgeous antique decor in this room is enriched by a wood burning fireplace and unique pieces of furniture that are treasures indeed.
Our three grandchildren under 5 years of age were wonderfully accommodated here as well. Child size table and chairs for their own meals and craft time was extra special for them. They loved the bunkbeds!
The view from each of the rooms is spectacular. For our weekend we had an incredible snowfall which provided a winter wonderland for the outside fun. The soak in the lovely hot tub outside on the deck was a definite bonus. An additional treat for those of us in the kitchen preparing the meals was the very spacious soapstone countertops, two ovens, warming oven and 2 refrigerators. From the kitchen we could enjoy observing all the activities in the open family area - including the ambiance of the other wood burning fireplace .
All of the family would like to return to this wonderful lodge next year and we highly recommend this to other family's who are looking for an "extra special" place !
This home has been decorated with well loved antique furniture in every nook and corner. The artful placement of everything makes this an extaordinary place to stay

In August, we stayed at the lodge for one week and held our small outdoor wedding there. It was a lovely setting, inside and out, and we could not be more happy with our stay. Our families joined us for the week for a total of 8 adults, and we were all comfortably accommodated with room to spare. The lodge alone is gorgeous, but the antique furnishings really make it one of a kind. The lodge has everything a family could desire in a home, there wasn't a thing missing. We spent the majority of our time out on the beautiful deck, and of course in the hot tub, what a hot tub! The homeowners were incredibly kind and helpful, and the communication was great, it was such a pleasure to rent from them. This was a dream wedding and vacation for us and our families and we can't wait to go back!
