We stayed in this rental for two weeks in june 2009 , the home has a great location situated in a private gated community . The view from the balcony is great , we sat for hours watching the rabbits , blackbirds , cardinals , egrets etc that visited the creek daily . I eventually bought a book on south carolina birds as being from england i have never seen such a colourfull collection , i spent some of the best moments of my vacation watching the waters of the creek rise and fall and the abundance of wildlife on hand . The island is very private and even in summer the beaches are deserted and you can access the tennis club which has a gym and pool for no cost .The property was very clean and well equiped , we met the owner on arrival and he delivered great customer service advising us on the best restaurants and the route to the nearest supermarkets , the rental even has a golf buggy which is great to travel to the beach or just to cruise the island . The nearest restaurant was johnsons tavern which served a selection of fresh seafood .Beaufort was 15 miles away and has a great selection of restaurants . This was the first time we have visited South carolina , the rental is clean , has all the facilities that we expected . Harbour island is a great base to visit charleston and savannaha, i would recommend this property and am sure i will visit again .

We had a great time at our stay in the beautiful yellow house! My whole family enjoyed the use of the golf cart to go to and from the pool and beach. My husband especially enjoyed fishing from the yard! It was the best vacation ever! Frank was so helpful and made everything perfect. We look forward to going back next year!

Our week at this house was the perfect end to my husband's recent deployment overseas. We went to Hunting Island beach three days during our stay, and we also drove to Bluffton and Savannah to do some shopping. We watched the sun set from the porch (where we could see fish jumping) and cruised through the lovely neighborhood on the golf cart (we saw probably 20 beautiful brown rabbits!) It was a glorious week--we highly recommend this house . . . and hope to return ourselves!

6/16/07 This was a great place for a relaxing family vacation. We really enjoyed the pool and the beach which were never crowded. Out kids loved watching the shrimp boats and dolphins. The golf cart was the best way to see the island. The house was great and Frank was very helpful with anything we needed to make our vacation great.

My family really enjoyed our stay. The house was beautiful, very clean and well maintained. The house is bright and sunny and has a nice view all around and is in a quiet area of the island. We greatly enjoyed the view of the colorful birds and the palm trees from the living room. The golf cart was really fun and we drove around the island several times a day seeing the views all around the island. The beach is really calm and the kids really loved collecting shells. We saw some dolphins passing back and forth along the beach on our 4th day. We also enjoyed watching the shrimp boats. We are looking forward to visiting again soon.

We had a wonderful stay in this clean, bright manageable house. The near beach was beautiful but the Hunting Island beach was wilder and even more wonderful. Loved the golf cart, good swimming pool, the sunsets, and all the amazing wildlife. Learning to cook grits. Would stay again if we got the chance.

We were looking for a place to get away from it all and yet be close enough for day trips to major attractions. The house is clean, and large enough for a large family. Frank was very helpful with any of our needs from boats to food. We have used VRBO for many years and have never been disappointed and his place was no exception. If we return to the area we would love to stay again.

My family and I had the privelage of useing the beach house two different time's this year. We had a wonderful time.Our three children and two grand children were there the first time.The second time was for my youngest child's { Allie} 16th birthday. She, her sister, grand mother , mother and some friends all said that they had a great time!
Frank and Faye are two of the kindest people that you will meet.They never minded helping in any way.
The location is convient to the beach or pool and it is a pleasent ride there on the golf cart.
The house is very clean with very comfortable furnishings.I hope that I get the pleasure of staying here again someday.

We had a great time at Harbor Key, and enjoyed the beautiful home. My husband and I were celebrating our 20th anniversary, and thought we would go somewhere to relax and enjoy ourselves. It was a beautiful week, and we really enjoyed the view of your home. Also, thanks for the use of the golf cart, that's the way to go! Look forward to visiting again soon.

The house was wonderful!! Everything was spotlessly clean and fresh and the views were wonderful. The kids especially loved the golf cart!! Thanks for everything!!!!!!!!!
