Absolutely Perfect Pacific Spot in Domincal

I can't recommend this house enough!! It's just outside of Domincalito, and has the best view of Domincal and all the way up the coast to Quepos/Manuel Antonio.
It was hard to even leave the house at first because it's so beautiful, but once you start exploring in Costa Rica, you're love affair grows; having this home to return to each night was the cherry on top!!!!
We bought local dorado (mahi-mahi) and cooked out on the grill one night, we had a chef another couple nights and he made great local dishes (gallo pinto!) and one night we went to a great local restaurant just down the hill from the house.
The town of Domincal is a five minute drive away, and there you'll find surfers, street vendors, liquor stores, a pharmacy, fruit stands, restaurants, watering holes, and plenty more. Heading the other way from the house, south, you'll hit Uvita, which is a bigger town than Domincal. Ojochal, Playa Hermosa, Playa Ballena, are great spots to walk along the beach.
Activities are not far away either... we did 'canopy' zip lining at Hacienda Baru. They have 8 lines, and the staff does an amazing job of educating you on the jungle and CR. We also did horseback riding at Don Lulo's; another great staff and an amazing day. The half day trip starts out on horseback, stops for a tican breakfast, continues on horseback to the Cataratas--waterfalls. You can spend time there (provided there hasn't been a lot of rain) swim in the water, rockclimb, whatever. Then you head back for a Tican lunch and then back to the ranch. Many people in our group had no experience and there was even an 8 year old. Wear long pants.
But, back to the house:) If we didn't have costa rica out our doors, we could have easily stayed in the whole week and have been satisfied. The salt water infinity pool---omg. We swam, danced, cooked, played music, played cards, and even relaxed one evening and watched movies. This house is the perfect backdrop for your stay in CR. You have everything you need and more.
Tips: Personally, I enjoyed the drive, but it's a rough ride from San Jose to Dominical. It's only 83 miles, but it will take you 4 hours. Hire transportation if you're not experienced in these conditions. If you are driving--you MUST rent a GPS and have a 4X4.
Everyone takes Colones or Dollars and there's an ATM/Bank (and grocery store) minutes from the house in Dominical.
Most people speak English.
Talk to the locals for info; they're very helpful.
