Photos and Description of the Florissant vacation house rental
3 bedroom, 3 bathroom, sleeps 8, 3 king size beds, window cushions for kids or..

This executive home sits atop of seventy beautiful acres. Lots of wild life and mountain views as far as you can see. Very quiet and private location. Great for families with active kids. Wonderful hot tub sits on private deck. Have all the luxuries of home, with high speed Internet, and HDTV. Centrally located to many great tourist destinations. Sleeps 8+ - 3 King sized beds, window cushions for the kids or feel free to bring air mattresses.

Now offering neighboring property: If any of you have stayed at this cabin - you will be happy to know that we are now offerng the neighboring property - which is also very very nice - built by the same builder with many of the same features. So if you need more room to bring up the whole family - there is a path through the trees to go back and forth between cabins. Also works well for any corporate needs - come up for some planning and budgeting and use both cabins.

The house is absolutely beautiful. Very private and secluded. My kids loved the rocks nearby the house to climb on. We had a great time at the Wolf Sanctuary. Absolutely would rent again.

Amazing

My family and I stayed here way back in 2010 and I'm still impressed by how gorgeous this cabin is. Trust me, pictures don't even begin to do it justice. It may be a little out of the way but the views and tranquility make up for it in spades. Hopefully our family can come back to Colorado soon and when we do I fully plan on trying to rent this amazing cabin once again.

Great Place

We had a truly great visit at this home.

We had two families. The kids took over the downstairs, which left the main floor for the adults to be able to visit without constant interruptions. We don't get to see each other much so this was greatly appreciated.

The house is really spacious, very clean and private. The pictures do not do the home justice.

The views are terrific and we all enjoyed checking out the area outside.

The owner was always very prompt to respond if I had questions and I would definitely stay here again.

Beautiful Secluded Cabin

5 of 5

I highly recommend this particular cabin if you are looking for seclusion in a beautiful cabin home. The jacuzzi is absolutely fabulous and located in private area (the risk of being seen is slim to none). The jacuzzi guy came early in the morning to add chemicals but he called first ( I just didn't answer phone) and rang doorbell before coming onto deck to treat jacuzzi. I can tell you though that if you happen to be in the jacuzzi and someone rode up to the cabin you would hear the vehicle coming and have ample time to cover up. Also the cabin sits at the end of mountain road so no vehicles are passing through. I can't speak highly enough of this place and it is well stocked with anything you need except food (though some food is there). It was clean and well kept by housekeeping service. The fireplace puts off a lot of heat and I am actually looking into installing same model in my home. Master Bedroom had a memory foam mattress that will have you looking forward to laying down at night. There is a little grocery/liquer store/gas station at bottom of mountain that was stocked with breakfast items for you to cook (eggs, bologne, bacon) but you gotta drive about 30-40 min east if you want to get larger town with more shopping options. Anyway, I could go on and on but this rental is well worth every penny and the folks from the rental company are very prompt with great customer service. They rented this out to me with less than 24hour notice (acutally I believe their return call was less than two hours from when I emailed them from homeaway.com). I will definately being renting from these people again as they have more than one cabin that they manage. Oh yeah and this cabin on 70 acres is for sale for $600,000 (or it once was because I found the real estate brochures) and I have been playing the lotto since I returned in hopes of owning...If I win then I can tell you that this one will no longer be available for rent lol

My first 5-star review. Very remote, good roads

This cabin is at the end of the road on 70-acres. Very private. Clean, neat cabin. 6 outside deck chairs, so no need to bring your own. The topography varies from an open, sloping meadow to rock outcroppings and trees. Property management company was quick to respond to voicemails. Main floor bedroom has a walk-in shower for those who can't easily step into a tub/shower combo.

We have stayed at many rental cabins in the mountains of Colorado, and this is my first 5-star rating.

Amazing Stay!

This house was absolutely gorgeous! We didn't see too many "winter" reviews so I wanted to write so that I could share our stay. The house is very secluded - on 70 acres. It takes a little while to get there off of I-24 (~13 miles - 10 miles paved / 3 or so miles unpaved) but it is well worth it. The views are spectacular and the house was beautiful. My husband and I went with our 2 kids (ages 16 & 11), and they had a blast just walking the property. It was very well maintained, and had everything we needed (minus groceries). Mike and Maggie take very good care of the house!

If you are going to stay here, the only thing I would recommend is to go grocery shopping before you get to the house (just because it takes about 45 mins to get to the store).

The house is very close to the Colorado Wolf Sanctuary (highly recommended!), and there is a great restaurant in Divide called McGinty's Irish Pub (right off 24). We enjoyed many activities while we were there for spring break - Pikes Peak, Pikes Peak Cog Railway, Garden of the Gods (by car and by horseback), Breckenridge (Good Times Snowmobiling - again highly recommended), Keystone, Royal Gorge, and the Colorado Wolf Sanctuary (would highly recommend the VIP tour where you get to go in the wolf enclosure and bond with the wolves).

I would highly recommend this house if you are a nature lover, and don't mind driving on some dirt roads. The stars at night are amazing, and to sit on the deck in the hot tub staring into the clear, starry sky was definitely worth every bit of the drive to get here! We would definitely stay here again!

This cabin is amazing! We had a group of 12, 3 families (6 adults, 3 girls & 3 boys). The cabin was plenty big. It accomodated us perfectly. Each couple had their own room and bathroom and the kids slept on air matresses and couches. The property is beautiful! We all went hiking just about every day. The views are spectacular! The kitchen was well stocked and had a huge pantry. The deck, grill and hot tub was great! It was also nice having the wireless internet and laundry. We set up a badminton net in the driveway & had a scavengar hunt for the kids on the property. We enjoyed rafting, horse back riding, Florissant Fossils Beds & Garden of the Gods. Something else worth seeing is the 11 mile canyon just down the road. Beautiful place for family pictures. So many wonderful things to do. We had a great family vacation with our good friends!!! Thanks Mike & Maggie. It was great meeting you!

Wonderful vacation

The cabin was a great get away from Texas for a vacation for myself, my wife and our two children and their spouses. The three levels allowed us to have our own space and comfront. The views from the cabin were truly amazing. We didn't see as much wildlife as we would have liked but the evening sunsets and morning sunrises were beautiful. The kitchen was well equiped and we enjoyed eating at the little breakfast nook. We used the grill and what a view from the deck when you are grilling. Our kids and their spouses enjoyed the hot tub. We enjoyed eating at the Hungry Bear in Woodland Park. We visited Cripple Creek, Pikes Peak, Garden of the Gods, Royal Gorge and the Denver zoo during our visit. These are all wonderful places to visit and see. There is a great Wal-Mart in Woodland Park. We hiked to the Waterfalls and it was a great hike--not to long. Thanks again to Mike and Maggie for making this a great vacation. Looking forward to staying with you again sometime in the future.
