Relax in a secluded mountain lake setting on a vacation where you can truly say to yourself it's 'All About Me!' This tranquil lake front cottage features a private dock for water skiing, jet skis and fishing and features an expansive back yard with old growth trees. Inside, the amenities were designed to pamper.
Truly a four season resort area, this ideally located property is just a third of a mile from the Wisp ski resorts Main Street lift, and near golf, paint ball, and white water rafting. Nature lovers will delight in miles of trails in nearby Swallow Falls State Park where water falls and swimming holes abound and Deep Creek State Park with its abundance of wildlife, including the occasional black bear. The fall season's pallet of exceptional colors provide an escape from the more crowded destinations without sacrificing the exquisite beauty.

Very Nice Location

This is the second year in a row my family and I have stayed here. We love the location. There is not too much traffic along this stretch of road. We enjoyed riding our Wave Runners and fires by the lake in the evening. The hot tub and sauna are a nice plus. We like being close to Wisp and biking along some of the roads in the area.

Great time, Great place.

The ONLY draw back to this house rental is the walk down to the dock - actually the walk back up. If you're in shape, you'll be fine. If you're not, you'll get good cardio.
We parked a trailer, a large truck, an suv and a sedan in the driveway and didn't have to move them for us to shoot basketball in the driveway at the garage. Plenty of driveway space. Little kids could bring their ride on toys for the flat part of the driveway - lots of room.
paved patio area has a hot tub, fire pit, and picnic table - oh and a tree swing that swings high :-) We used the hose to bathe the dogs after their time in the lake. The deck has a great table and chairs set - spent every morning out there watching the sun glisten off the lake. Trees gave privacy and shade. The home you can see has a family renting it the whole summer and they were very nice and kept to themselves but were friendly and offered advice for us for things to do, etc. since this was our first time to the lake. The interior was immaculate. tastefully done baths. tile flooring downstairs. slate in the foyer. hardwood in the kitchen and dining. berber in the liv rm and 3 bedrm areas were carpeted - 1 was hardwood. we rented a boat for a couple days and the dock worked perfect but even if you dont have a boat, the dock is awesome! we had kayaks and it was easy access to get in them from the dock; sun bathing from the dock, swimming - a ladder to get back on the dock. our dogs even jumped off the dock to get their toy and swam back to the bank. The cove was great for skiing and water tubing! There is a swing at the lake too and a fire pit area but we didn't use it because it was dry the week we were there. we did use the one at the house though. The area was perfect - close to shopping- food and gifts; close to the Wisp resort which has alot to offer every age; white water rafting; golf; about a 1/2 hour to Swallow Falls - a fun walking trail of several waterfalls - gorgeous...take your camera! we were on the internet every day with no problems. The realty office was sooo nice!!! And initially I had sent some emails to the owner and they responded right away each time. There ended up being just 8 of us (plus our 2 dogs) and for that group, we'd rent this place again. We loved it here - both the house and the grounds (property) as well as the lake itself and the dock and the area of shopping and things to do.

I wanted to thank you for opening your home to us. We all had an awesome time this past weekend. Your house had everything we needed to make this weekend getaway a moment to remember. Honestly, the pictures posted on this site did not do the house any justice. It was what we expected and so much more!
We could not believe how beautiful and cozy our temporary home was. Your house was perfect for all of us and had room to accommodate to everyone and the dogs. We could really tell the work and detail that you guys put into building the house. Everything was stocked from the kitchen cabinets to dvds in the family room. And the fact that it was so close to the Wisp resort, we had no problems when it came time to go snowboarding. The hot tub and sauna came in very handy after a day's worth of being out on the slopes. The dvds and pool table you guys had also kept us busy when we weren't out on the slopes.
We came out to Wisp to relax and de-stress from the hustle and bustle of the DC area. It was great working you guys and thank you for answering every little question I had without any hesitation. The kids were so sad to leave the place and asked if we could all live there. We truly had an amazing experience and will definitely keep you guys in mind if we decide to do another retreat to Wisp next year. Thanks again for everything!!!
