Cape Cod 1st visit

Review Submitted: October 17, 2009 Date of Stay: October 2009
My wife and I made our first visit to Cape Cod and could not have made a better choice than the Toad cottage. The cottage was very clean and had all the comforts to make our stay one to remember. I would recommend this cottage to anyone who wants to enjoy Ptown but also wants their privacy

September & The Toad - a perfect combination

My husband and I spent a wonderful week at the Toad and have recomended it (eagerly showing pictures from HomeAway) to several people at work.

The cottage was compact with everything you could possibly need including umbrellas (which we fortunately didn't need). It was clean, private, and walking distance to everything in our favorite town on the Cape.

We recommend making a reservation now!

The Beloved Toad is ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS!!

Review Submitted: September 20, 2009 Date of Stay: August 2009
We spent 2 glorious weeks in Provincetown from Aug 29 - Sept 12. We stayed at the Beloved Toad the entire time. What a true treasure. If you ever have a chance to get to P-town, we would strongly recommend you stay at the Beloved Toad. The cottage is stocked with anything you would need for your stay. From the very comfortable bed, to the really big tub and shower to the kitchen stocked with any items you may need, the Beloved Toad is the best!! It is also close to the action and fun but far enough away that you can truly escape and relax!!

We arrived on the day that Hurricane Danny was set to hit the Cape. After a 6+ hour drive from NJ we arrived at the Beloved Toad to find a warm, welcoming and cozy cottage to relax and enjoy.

We also had the pleasure of meeting Sam while we were there. Sam is very warm and so friendly!! He is also very communicative and extremely helpful when answering any questions for you and setting up your stay.

There is so much more we could say, but we'll end it by stating Sam and the Beloved Toad are the BEST!

Toad Cottage was a Big Hit with us!

Our first stay on the East End was in Toad Cottage for Carnival Week 2009 and we made the perfect choice. It was set off the beaten path...quiet yet convenient to everything...just what we were looking for. Probably one of the best equipped, comfortable and updated/clean houses we've stayed over the past 6 years. The Owner has thought of everything and every detail...and I mean everything...you'll be more than comfortable! Hurry up and book yourself a week! Cheers!

Wonderful Stay at the Toad

Review Submitted: August 17, 2009 Date of Stay: August 2009
My husband and I recently stayed at the Toad during our honeymoon. Our experience of the cottage was excellent. It is indeed, as others have noted, impeccably maintained, well-equipped, charming, with a lot of character. Perfect place whether you are an indoor or outdoor type of person. Sam's handling of the rental details was prompt, professional, that is to say, absolutely ideal.
The town is fun, with a lot of galleries, local landmarks, and a lot of good dining options for all budgets (do treat yourself to a meal at the "Mews" or "Devon's" while you stay there). There are several nice bookstores in Provincetown - the one that sells used books is a jewel. If you decide to stay for more than a couple of days, a car is a must should you want to explore the larger Cape area.

Exceeded expectations

My girlfriend and I just returned from a weekend stay at the Toad and were very impressed. We would agree with all the reviews here - there is a reason why everyone is willing to recommend the property. As you can see from the pictures and description, the place is very well decorated and has all amenities that you would need. The location is great - close enough to the madness of Ptown, yet far enough away that its very quiet and peaceful. We grilled at the house comfortably, even though the weather was pretty nasty when we were there. I would say that I was most impressed with Sam the owner. He is very professional and fair to deal with and very prompt and thorough in his communication. I cannot recommend this place enough. You will not be disapointed with the decision to stay at the Toad.

Awful weather but loved the Toad!

It rained the entire week my fiance and I were in Cape Cod. We still had a great week though, and the Beloved Toad contributed to our relaxing vacation. The cottage is very clean, comfortable, and has great features. In addition, Sam was great in contacting us and providing useful information about Cape Cod and Provincetown. We'd recommend the Beloved Toad to anyone and are hoping to be back next year!

Romantic Getaway

N & A Arlington, Ma
Review Submitted: June 22, 2009 Date of Stay: June 2009
We had an amazing mid-week getaway at the "Toad". Sam was very easy to communicate with and made everything hassle free. We arrived and were excited to see that the cottage looked just as charming and polished as in the pictures. The description and reviews were on point. We weren't totally sure of what to expect in terms of the size and square footage, but it was perfect and plenty of room for the two of us! We had more than enough room to spread out and be comfortable.

All of Sam's touches were great... he thought of everything! We are over-packers, and many of the things we thought we might need were already there. The style and finishes in the cottage really make it feel like a luxury retreat, close enough to all the action, but tucked back just enough from the hustle and bustle of Commercial St. The restaurants and shops are just a short walk away. We didn't have to worry about finding parking on Commercial St.!

We didn't want to leave and can't wait to go back!!

This is a wonderful place to stay! It was clean, cozy and comfortable. The Toad is a great place with everything you could possibly want for a nice relaxed vacation. I felt very much at home there.

It was a great location too. Quiet, yet just a short walk to town. I didn't have to pay for parking once!

Sam was so accomodating and always available to answer any questions. I highly recommend his place to anyone!

You will love the Toad too!!

Perfect Romantic Getaway

This is a perfect place to stay in Provincetown. Really close to downtown, but feels far away and isolated enough to make it a true getaway. Fabulous accommodations with all the amenities- you can have a cozy dinner while sitting in front of the working fireplace or make your coffee and breakfast in the morning if you aren't in the mood to go to town. Great bed, flat screen tv and easy to access. We couldn't recommend it enough for a fun, romantic weekend away.
