extra trees around it made us feel nestled and protected. The views of the mountains were spectacular and the hot tub a plus relaxing for all four of us. Thank you for prompt questions and answers to all our questions. Really nice people and easy to work with,

great house!

We loved our visit! The property managers were easy to communicate with.. phone and email, and answered all our questions. Excellent customer service! This is a great place for a large family to get away. We found it clean, comfortable and well maintained. Saw hummingbirds, woodpeckers, deer and a fox. Nice view from the dining room looking into the valley. We mostly stayed at the house, but a few of us made side trips to Cripple Creek and Rampart Reservoir. I would recommend this to friends. A vehicle with all-wheel or 4-wheel drive will handle the gravel roads and the driveway best. (We found our 2 wheel drive 4cyl cars have a bit of trouble on the inclines.) Our 2 labradors had a good time as well. Thank you!

took many photos of the area, fossil beds, Mueller State, and awesome hiking trails on your property and surrounding areas. photos of your place doesn't do it justice. Saw wildlife most every morning. Recommend highly and priced right for six people!

private, and the free wood was a nice touch for our stay. Well maintained and clean, and more space than we needed, but allowed us to hike and explore the area with our lab. Thanks for hospitality. The windows all around living room allowed for lots of sunlight and views of the Mountains at all angles. We visited Cripple Creek for some historic fun, and woodland park is a quaint mountain town with friendly folks,

well maintained, beautiful area and clean. Highly recommend, but like any steps we had to block out for the toddlers. Spent some time in Cripple Creek, and the North Pole Park in Cascase was an added benefit for the kids. Thanks,

If you’re looking for that perfect Colorado experience without the traffic, the crowds, and the hassle - this is your perfect getaway.

We loved the location - away from the hustle and bustle of other destinations yet close to great Colorado sites and activities.

The property was clean and rustic with many modern amenities.

I would definitely recommend this property to anyone looking for that perfect Rocky Mountain experience.

clean and lots of space. Very tasteful and we didn't have a problem with the stairs, the beautful wrought iron is classic and is extremely expensive. Mom and Dad stayed upstairs when we weren't fishing, thank you for making this avail to rent with the lakes. So little water in Colorado and still affordable for us all!!

Sprial Staircase

Review Submitted: June 18, 2008 Date of Stay: June 2008
The steps were very tricky. They are NOT for the very young or the older crowd. The deck had Wonderful views! The hot tub was amazing after a day of fishing. The BBQ was exactly what our weekend diet needed. Ha. The private lakes were amazing, but further away then we first thought. The girls (9,6) cought the biggest fish of the weekend and I (dad) cought the smallest fish that was in the lake. hahaha. Our teenager even enjoyed himself! That speeks anthems of the property. Deer in the evening.
Owner's Response: We actually bought the beautfiul stairs at a fire house auction in Buena Vista and couldn't help but put in our lovely home. We're glad the children caught fish to make this a memorable vacationing event. Hope you will book again,

The Thomas'
