Terrific Getaway

Greg & Michelle Fort Worth, Texas
Review Submitted: April 13, 2009 Date of Stay: March 2009
It was our 7th Anniversary, and we had a terrific time. I arranged for the wine tour and couples massage and both were excellent! The cottage was peacefull and the kitchen was well stocked for our needs. The hot tub was soothing at night. Laci and Marsha went out of their way to make us comfortable and they provided us with helpful ideas for our stay. We were only there 2 nights, but wished we could have stayed a week! It was the perfect romantic getaway!

Nice... but not romantic

Review Submitted: August 18, 2009 Date of Stay: July 2009
Email communication prior to the visit was great and we were very excited about our trip but my husband and I were disappointed with our visit. We only get to go away once every couple years and I truly wished we had saved another year...The house was nice and breakfast foods were provided but the grilled had ant-covered meat in it and the hot tub bottom was covered with sand so it wasn't the anticipated arrival we expected. There was construction going on across the street the entire time so it wasn't quite or peaceful either and we didn't get to sleep late a single morning. They did come to vaccum the hot tub the next morning; but not well enough that my husband would even use it. If you are tall; beware that it is a shower in a tub and very short. There are movies provided, which is nice; but it is not the kind of couch you can snuggle up on. I would say that this property would be better suited for an older couple...but there is uneven ground where you park and steps up to the porch - so if you plan to come and go much, that could be a problem. The house was fairly clean except there was a lot of dirt around the air vents. You should also know that there is not a dishwasher or wash machine. And though dishes are provided, many items in the kitchen are in need of replacing. It is a pretty area and the people I dealt with were very friendly - it just wasn't the romantic get-away we had been looking foward too.
Owner's Response: We always look forward to hearing from our guests! We strive to make sure all guests are happy during their stay and accommodate all of their needs when we are notified. Unfortunately, we cannot control construction on other people's property. Thank goodness that it is all over! It is back to a nice, serene and romantic atmosphere. Looking forward to future guests!!

We stayed at this cottage for 5 days in March and had the most wonderful time. Its the perfect place to just go and relax. The views are spectacular and the management staff both Laci and Marsh go above and beyond to make sure your stay is the best it can possibly be. I would recommend staying here to my best friends and have. We can't wait to return again.

Sincerely,
Terri

Romantic Getaway

My husband and I stayed in this cozy cottage and enjoyed every minute. We were so excited when we arrived to see such a great house, we added two nights on. It was very relaxing hanging out in the hammock during the day and the hottub in the evening. We grilled steaks and had a bottle of wine with a cheese and fruit basket delivered to our door. We can't wait to come back!

Perfect Momcation Getaway

Busy Mom Dallas, TX
Review Submitted: May 19, 2008 Date of Stay: March 2008
a girlfriend of mine needed to get away from the kids and busy life, so I planned a suprise Momcation for us. This hit the spot!!

The cottage was the perfect size, had everything in it we needed. It was very clean, well maintained, and very cozy. We went for a walk through the little neighborhood, there is a winery just down the street. The area was quiet and peaceful.

We'll be back!!

Very Relaxing

I "kidnapped" my husband(he works a lot of hours & it was his birthday) and drove him to this wonderful little B & B!! Everything was there, just like I was told--right down to the hammock on the porch. My husband said it was the most relaxing vacation we had taken in many years.

They had left breakfast food for us to cook, plus fruit and other goodies! The instructions on the hot tub were clear--there was not one thing I would change, other than we can not afford it as often as we would like!
