Owner's Response: We are so glad you had a good Thanksgiving at "Happy Top Heaven."We will get a ladder and get those cobwebs down. I noticed the ceiling fan had some on it.( I have tried to catch those little cobs building thier webs, but they seem to appear overnight!) All joking aside, it is almost time for our annual deep cleaning. That is when we do all those things we don't have time for during the regular season when we have people leaving in the morning, and more coming in the afternoon. God Bless you and your family for leaving everything so nice. I noticed you even did some laundry and that is greatly appreciated. People like you make our job so much easier.We hope you will be able to visit again.Pam & Jerry

Owner's Response: We are not sure if these guests got our cabin confused with another place, or saved an old ad from last year,but we have not mentioned a hot tub in our ad for over a year. It is so easy to get confused when looking at multiple properties.We DO have a grill. When we received a call on Saturday night complaining about the flame on the grill being too low, we offered to be there in 5 minutes with a replacement. They declined and said they would cook inside.After their departure we could find no problems with the grill, and neither have our other guests.I resent the comment saying we" back up" to a main road. If you look at our pictures, or google our location, you can see we are at the end of the road.We did NOT say the cabin was so secluded that you would never hear a car." Happy Top" is on a ridge about 600 feet above Hwy 76 ( a two lane road). Of course you can hear cars when you are on the deck.We think our prices are very fair. This family used all 3 bedrooms and bathrooms, and we never charged for extra people. Although October during the fair is our busiest time, we DO NOT go up on our rates like many people do. You can't get 3 motel rooms for $125 per night! These people only left a bad review after they contacted pay pal and asked for a 30% refund and were denied.We sent pay pal all the information, including e-mails from this guest. We even gave them contact information for a lady who cleaned for us last year while we were on vacation.She confirmed that we did not have a working hot tub at that time.After looking at our ad and checking all the facts, pay pal said our property was "as described "and found in our favor. I hope these guests will remember all the other great things our cabin has to offer, and focus more on the precious family time they had in our beautiful mountains. That is what is really important . Please look at our other reviews before making a decision on "Happy Top". I am behind, but will be posting more guests comments later, including one from our guests who stayed with us right after this family!
