Close to shops & restaurants in historic Calistoga, an unexpectedly private garden overlooking a vineyard provides a serene setting for sipping a glass of local wine from a nearby winery. Should you soak in the spa and then take a dip in the 40 ft lap pool, or swim first and lounge later? How about a stroll in the orchard among walnuts and olive trees? You'll find a bocce court that's shaded even when the sun is high. Maybe just enjoy a good book on the shady porch away from the summer sun.
After dark, watch that movie you've been meaning to catch on the home theater or surf the net on the high-speed connection. A computer is also available for use by our guests. Or cook that recipe you never had time for in the newly appointed gourmet kitchen. Strut your stuff at a professional pool table or feel young again at Foosball in the game room with fireplace.

A wonderful place -cool ,calm and collected!

I have just returned from a family holiday in California ,the first week of which we spent in this wonderful property in gorgeous Calistoga.
From start to finish this house was a superb base for a wonderful week .The house has everything one could need -and more!
Wonderful huge pool ,hot tub ,excellent garden space and total privacy and yet set amongst the comfort and safety of houses close by .We awoke in the mornings to a swim and watched the sun rise over the close by hills .Within hours we were charmed and won over.Within days we felt at home (if only!!) .More than enough garden furniture ,three outside tables ,and wonderful veranda space gave us everything we looked for .
Inside -the quality continued.Excellent kitchen equipment,well stocked with all the kitchen requirements one could ever have .The well stocked fridge and cupboards ensured that we did not have to rush out immediatly for small essentials.Our kids and i played pool before going out every night ,and sometimes after lunch .
To have a computer available was brilliant allowing us to check up restaurant reviews,plan trips and even catch up on the news back home.(we smiled guiltily when we checked the bad weather back in ireland every morning!!)
The bedrooms were comfortable ,charming and ideal .
A little walk into town in the morning gave us access to one of the friendliest communities of people it has ever been my pleasure to meet.Superb restaurants ,great coffee houses and wonderful collection of shops gave us plenty to see ,do and engage with .
And in such connectivity for all of those other wonderful napa valley towns.
The owner Robert was a gentleman to deal with from start to finish and i have no doubt that he and I will be talking again for we will most deffinitely be back!
To sum it all up in a word???.......superb .
I felt that i was sharing someones home and not merely a vacation property.
I would thoroughly recommend this property -and would be convinced that a good time would be had by all .
As i said in my intro -its cool ,calm and oh so collected.
A gem ,and we were delighted to be allowed share its lustre.

Peaceful Retreat

We absolutely loved our stay at Roberts' home! The house was amazing...from the bedrooms and updated kitchen to the immaculate (and edible!) landscaping to the incredible pool and hot tub! We loved staying there. The location was also fantastic. Just far enough outside of "town" to be peaceful and quiet...but, just close enough to walk to restaurants and shops! We strolled down to Lincoln St. every night and had some awesome meals. Overall, just an extremely relaxing and satisfying stay.

We did enjoy our stay at your lovely home and had a wonderful time hiking on the trails you had told us about as well sitting in your hot tub at the end of the day, soaking our aching muscles!

We went to Calistoga for our son's wedding. The location of the property was fabulous for all the events and walking distance to downtown Calistoga. The property was beautifully maintained . We could see hot air ballons go above us. The outside living space, gardens and pool are lovely. Interior had everything we needed and then some!. We would definately go back!

This house was fantastic. My sister had her wedding in town and the home was within walking distance to everywhere we needed to be. The pool was fantastic with tons of seating and there was plenty of room for the 5 of us staying there to spread out.
Kitchen was perfect and had all of the appliances and necessary items to prepare meals and snacks.
Robert, the owner was helpful, timely in response and incredibly easy to deal with. I would highly recommend this rental for anyone vacationing in the area.

Words can't describe what an easy/pleasurable experience it was renting this property from start to finish. The owner, Robert, is incredibly friendly, honest, polite and takes MUCH pride in his property. I 100% will be back to stay/rent this property. A+ for a rental!!

Just Like Home....And Then Some....

We had a fabulous time staying at this wonderful home. The grounds are beautiful and despite some spotty weather we were able to enjoy the hot tub and the gardens. We would have loved to try the beautiful pool, however Mother Nature had other ideas. We had plenty of room for our group and found everything we needed to have a very relaxing and fun time in Calistoga and all around Napa and Sonoma Valleys. The owners were fabulous to work with, all inquiries were answered promptly and everything was as stated on the website. We highly recommend this property and hope to enjoy it's offerings again soon!!

Perfect retreat!

My girlfriends and I rented the house for a week's stay in Napa. I looked at A LOT of houses when planning the trip and couldn't be happier with our choice.
Robert, the owner, was prompt in answering all my initial questions prior to booking the trip. He was very helpful and informative, which is important to me and weighed heavily on my decision to rent their home.
The house was very clean and spacious and the kitchen was supplied with just about everything we needed. Using the pool and hottub was the PERFECT way to unwind after a day of wine tours!
Calistoga is a great little town. "Downtown" is just a short walk or drive from the house, which has a number of restaurants, bike rentals, shops, mud spa, etc.
The house is located right off of the Silverado Trail and HWY29, making it very convenient to get to the wineries, Spa Solage, grocery store (Cal Mart) and even just a short trip to shopping in St. Helena. It couldn't have been located in a more perfect spot.
I would highly recommend staying at this home. Dealing with the owners was seamless and my girlfriends & I had a fantastic time. I will definitely stay there next time I visit Napa.

2010 Wine and Relax

We had a most enjoyable and relaxing stay at the Michael Way house. The grounds were beautiful, the pool was very easy to use, and the kitchen was well equipt right down to champange flutes.
We cooked some fine meals and enjoyed some of the local resturants. The hot tub was great, especially when the moon is full on a clear night !
The house was clean and well maintained and didn't disappoint from the photos provided. We would recommend it to any and all who are looking for private relaxation.

Early Summer Stay

My family and I had a great opportunity to visit the Calistoga area in June this year. My brother is a student at CIA at Greystone so we were able to enjoy seeing the sites with a "local". But we were also able to live like a local during our visit, thanks to this wonderful property! Everything about the experience was enjoyable. Robert was an attentive owner who immediately put me at ease. I had no problem organizing this trip from our hometown in Maryland. The house is wonderful; just as described. The pool and spa were a real treat, though we never did get a chance to play on the bocce court! There were just too many other fun things to do. I would highly recommend this property, and will most likely use it again myself when I visit for my brother's graduation next year.
