The perfect Woods Hole retreat! This family home is comfortable, cozy, light, and airy. A brisk, 7-minute walk to Nobska Beach, and an easy walk to everything the Village offers: great restaurants, the Marine Biological Laboratories and Woods Hole Oceanographic Institute, the National Marine Fisheries Aquarium, ferries to the Islands, and more. This elegant but kid-friendly home offers a fireplaced living room, colonial dining room, and modern kitchen. The first-floor master bedroom suite includes a large, private, screened porch and a spacious (and very private) bathroom with separate tiled shower and jacuzzi tub. Outdoor private, open air shower if you prefer. The second floor offers two more bedrooms and another bathroom with shower-tub. Fine hardwood floors throughout. Relax in the hammock while the barbecue simmers for a cookout, or grab a sandwich and bottle at the Deli on Main Street and stroll to Stoney Beach for an idyllic morning and afternoon swim.

A Great Woods Hole Home

We enjoyed our time at this vacation house. We had plenty of space for us and our three boys to spread out. The house is solid, well maintained, and has lots of fine details and modern furniture--better than the "college" furniture at some rentals we have experienced on the Cape. Our boys caught crabs and minnows at Nobska Beach, which is a short walk. Stoney Beach was a little farther away for our small children, but an easy drive with the parking pass for both beaches. The owners were gracious and made us feel welcome even though we had special needs. The house has all the beach toys and barbecue equipment. We were delighted at the reopening of Woods Hole Market this year (after being closed for several years)--a short walk and a great convenience. We took the ferry to Martha's Vineyard--a short walk from the house. The beds were comfy. We look forward to returning next year.

You know when you rent a house often all the fun stuff is locked away for the use of the owners only? Not this one, it's a great family holiday home with access to everything the family enjoys including bikes, fishing gear, boat, balls, rackets...The house is well equipped throughout and Woods Hole is a great spot - the cycle path is a must and a trip to Martha's Vineyard with the bikes too.
I'd add that the owner went out of his way to make us welcome even though he was on another continent at the time which, as we were a long way from home too, was most welcome.

Comfortable, convenient and cozy

This property is well maintained and very clean. We have had a wonderful vacation in Woods Hole for the past several years. We pull in the driveway, shut off the car and we don't use it again for the entire 2 weeks. We can walk into the Woods Hole Village for meals, shops and ferry to Martha's Vineyard. The Shining Sea Bike Path is around the corner and beaches are in walking distance. The screened in porch off the master bedroom is perfect for morning coffee and an evening cocktail.
