We arrived after a lengthy stay in New York as part of our summer holiday. It was just the contrast we had planned for and allowed us to appreciate both parts of the North East of the USA. The delightful setting, secluded but still plenty of interest sailing, floating flying by, let us recharge our batteries. The luxury of the accommodation meant it was a real home from home and with amenities close at hand and plenty to see and do our week was a real success.

This property lived up to all our expectations and then some. The location was idyllic with a stunning view across the sea inlet. The house facilities were excellent and suited our families needs perfectly with a great blend of a homely character and all the electrical and electronic conveniences associated with modern day living. We were looking for a place to relax and certainly found the perfect spot. Falmouth is a charming little town with good eating and shopping attractions and many other interesting places within easy reach by car. No-one could possibly be disappointed by this destination and we cannot wait to return.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. House was nice and large for our needs, the upstairs decking great for catching the sun all day. BBQ excellent. Did not get round to using the firepit. We had a hire car so the location was not a problem. It did not take long to get to different parts of Falmouth. Beaches suited our needs. Go after 3pm and you tend not to have to pay the parking! In an ideal world the downstairs could have been better used. A pool table for the boys would have worked out well. (We were a family of four with two teenage boys visiting from the UK.). Also a book of words on how to work various items and what is in the local area. Whilst we worked it all out in the end this is something most rental properties we have used in the past have provided. Overall, we wanted to stay in the area longer but due to other commitments only booked for the week. We will definitely be back to Cape Cod in the future. Despite visiting in the height of the holiday season it did not feel too crowded.

The pictures hardly do justice to what is a lovely house on the side of a large inlet. The internal fittings are more home than rental in standard and the property was clean and welcoming. The owners went out of their way to make our stay good. The views are delightful. It is too far to pop out for a walk to the shops but this is more than compensated for by the tranquil setting and the fact that it is an easy drive to a good range of stores. We liked Falmouth best of the places that we visited in the area. It had good beaches, bird watching, gardens, etc. in addition to an impression array of shops and restaurants. It had much less of a feel of a place that was only alive in the height of the tourist season, when almost all shops can be tourist orientated.

My husband and I stayed for 9 nights in May 2011. We were delighted with the location of the house, near Falmouth, where there are plenty of shops and restaurants, and also some malls on the edge of town. We agreed we'd chosen well to stay in this area on the Cape. The waterside frontage was a huge plus, because of the lovely view.

Unfortunately we had pretty awful weather the week we were there, but having the TV and free wi-fi, plus the view, helped. On the better days, the views across the pond are fabulous and we saw a plethora of wildlife, from an otter to woodpeckers, to cardinal birds, to a coyote! A great haven for lovers of wildlife. There was a robin's nest on the balcony, much to our delight.

The house is clean and well-equipped (although it doesn't have a dishwasher) and has the great advantage of a washing machine and tumble dryer, which are much more efficient than the ones we have in the UK! Due to the bad weather we spent most of our evenings in watching TV in the comfort of the living room ... or we went out into Falmouth to eat.

We only lived in the upstairs part of the house, as there were only the two of us, but downstairs there is a twin bedroom and another sitting room, so the house would suit two couples quite well (although there's only one bathroom which is upstairs).

Everywhere on the Cape is explorable by car from the house.

The house's owner, Giti, was so helpful in giving advice on where to go and what to do, and couldn't have been more obliging. We would definitely recommend the house to couples or small families who want to stay somewhere quiet, away from town.

We'd love to stay there again some time, but hopefully in good weather!

Great location and wonderful property.. This property exceeded our expectation in almost every respect. Much, much bigger than anticipated with a genuine “homely” feel rarely found in holiday rental properties. Very clean and tidy with new / modern appliances and a great BBQ outside - well beyond the norm. View / position is perfect and secluded and if there is a downside, then is just a bit too far to walk to the nearest shops etc..actually that could be a positive! Would have been nice to see a book/folder in property with local recommendations (i.e. places to visit, good restaurants etc) but again it was good to do our own detective work. A great place to stay in cape cod for week and one that we would highly would recommend without hesitation.

I have to say that this property was a real find. It has the most fantastic outlook and is so well situated to explore Cape Cod. The accommodation is wonderful- spacious, spotless and the most amazing outlook over Green Pond. My family found this retreat to be an excellent way to unwind after a busy trip to NY and a comfy base where we really felt at home. If you're good to Cape Cod- then stay here!
