The Deep Creek Retreat is an excellent place to vacation. I have been there twice: once in the summer with my family and once in the winter for my honeymoon. My husband and I had a great stay. The hot tub and gas fireplace were wonderful places to warm up after a long day of skiing at the resort which is just minutes away. The kitchen had everything we needed when we wanted to cook at home and the bedrooms are incredibly spacious (the master suite is awesome and even has a huge jacuzzi tub!!) The view of the lake from the back porch was so romantic. We would love to return for an anniversary or perhaps for a week in the summer for some boating and jet-skiing fun!

Upon entering this home, it felt just like home. Very nice furnishings, very clean, warm and inviting. Then the view off the back deck was awesome, being able to look down onto Deep Creek Lake. This was our families second trip to Deep Creek and it was our favorite by far because of all the amenities offered at this home. From the awesome hot-tub, pool table, large selection of family games, and the DVD library, we really wanted for nothing. The two person kayak also provided with the home helped our family to be able to all go out on the lake at one time, added to the ones that our son-in-law brought with him as well. We had the best time kayaking in this quiet cove! There is quit a steep walk to actually reach the water with the kayak's that were brought along, but well worth the effort of being out onto such a beautiful and peaceful part of Deep Creek Lake. This was our first trip to Deep Creek Lake and can say without a doubt that this ranks up there as one of the best rental homes we have ever stayed. This place has everything you would ever need with all the comforts of home and the Owner Mickey was easy and great to work with as he was very informative of what to expect during our stay. Everything was just the way it was described in the listing. It was nice to talk and have access with an Owner as much as we did prior to arriving as he was very happy to answer questions we had. The house is in a very quite cove area of the lake and the home is beautifully furnished, well maintained, and well stocked with everything you would need when being away on vacation. There were 6 of us ranging from 14 years old to 52 years old. Went to Swallow Falls (which is a short drive) the first day and did some hiking and swiming. Rented a ski boat at local marina for 3 days and used the extra boat slip at the house's dock down in the cove. Used the outdoor gas grill to cook out on some nights and went into town to eat out the other nights. Had a great time one evening at Funland doing mini-golf and go-carts, and topped things off with a stop at the ice cream parlor. The fire pit was the hit of most of the evenings where much laughter and reminiscing took place as s'mores were being made. Caught some very nice size pickeral and perch fishing off the boat dock in the evenings and early mornings. The cove was peaceful and beautiful in the early mornings/evenings as deer were seen on some occassions roaming in the woods. Several of us got good use out of the kayak's that are provided. We would reommend this place to family, friends, and anyone that just wants to do some serious chillin'. Thanks Mickey for letting us use your home.

What a lovely way to spend some final days of summer! We were a group of 10 ranging in age from 3 to early 60's. There was much about the property that appealed to all of us. The house is beautifully decorated with added personal touches of travel photos of the owners family, which we all enjoyed. We took advantage of the fire pit each night, laughing, telling stories, making s'mores, roasting hotdogs, and making popcorn. We even had a couple morning fires and sat around drinking our coffee...things always smell and taste better outdoors. Some of the family used the kayak, played pool, piano, and the little ones watched a movie. We enjoyed the hot tub after spending the day at Wisp riding the gondolas, and coasters...stopping for ice cream at the Creamery on the way back "home". Our son and his family saw the resident bear in the meadow at the end of the lane...the rest of us were sad we missed it. We mostly ate in and had everything we needed in the kitchen to make meal prep easy. Although my sister brought condiments we wouldn't have needed to, as salad dressings, etc. were available for us to use. We did have a drink at the Honi Honi and ate a meal at Uno that we all enjoyed. Leaving town my husband and I ate burger and shrimp at The Boardwalk and said goodbye to a wonderful long weekend at Deep Creek.

This home was amazing! I hosted a weekend getaway here for my best friends birthday for a group of women and we had an amazing time last fall! The owners are very kind, helpful and knowledgeable. The house was more than anyone could expect and very clean. The location right on the lake is spectacular. You can view it right from the deck. I was looking for a very clean and homey getaway for all of us and it met my expectations and went beyond them. It truly felt like a home away from home.

The owners do have a screening process to be sure that the prospective renters will take care of their rental during their stay but it is very understandable and reasonable. This is exactly why they keep this rental so nice and maintained.

There were 10 of us total and we slept very comfortably. I would recommend this rental to anyone. We had a fabulous time!

We had six adults and four kids/grandkids ranging from 3 thru 8. The greatest part was being all together, but couldn't pick a better setting -- as promised. All the info and pix from our host, Mickey, told us EXACTLY what we were getting for the money. And, man was it worth it! And we really shopped around, too. It was a quiet 'Cul-de-sac' both by land and sea! Located at the end of North Glade Cove made it extremely private on the water, and hardly even saw any other people although there were houses nearby. The house itself is designed for a big group and nothing was left out. It's their home away from home, but they're willing to share -- with you! We did and we're glad we did. May be back in the future (God willing). Thanks, Mickey.

It truly was a retreat for our family! Beautiful home with all the amenities! Very clean and spacious! The owner was very thoughtful and provided all the answers before we could even think of the questions :) We used the hammock, the hot tub, the mountain bikes and the fire pit. Didn't have time to use the kayaks, saving that for next time! Thanks again for a wonderful stay at your beautiful place.

We had a great time during our vist to Deep Creek Retreat! There were 8 adults in my group & there was plenty of room for everyone. The house was close enough to Wisp Mountain but still away from any traffic that you would find on the main roads.

The view down to the cove was beautiful & we were lucky enough to get 10" of snow while we were there, making that view even better.

The hot tub was big enough for 6-8 adults & we enjoyed it tremendously. Sitting out there on a cold, crisp night looking at the stars was very relaxing.

The kitchen is supplied with anything you might need for your stay and there were a couple of empty cabinets to put your own supplies into.

Working with this home ower was very simple & the owner even checked in with us during our stay to make sure everything was ok. He also provided us with some information for local eateries.

All in all, it was a great place to stay and we would stay here again.
