Make our elegant Vail Mountain retreat your family’s home away from home! This luxurious, spacious (2,350 square feet!), platinum-quality property on the sunny northern side of the valley is the perfect residence for your vacation to Vail.

The main floor has warm, rich (heated) wood floors running throughout and is beautifully decorated with designer furnishings, window coverings and luxury linens. At the heart of the main floor is a gourmet kitchen equipped with high end appliances, cookware, and dinnerware. It features granite counter tops, a large island with seating for 3, and a dining room table that can accommodate 8 people comfortably. It is a terrific gathering spot for family and friends; and, it is equipped with everything you could need whether you are making breakfast before heading to the slopes, preparing a holiday meal, or entertaining friends!

Just off the kitchen, there is an open living room featuring a sofa, loveseat, and 2 swivel rockers with ottoman. Even a large group can gather together and enjoy the gas fireplace, play one of the many available board games, or relax and watch a movie on the 40” LCD High Definition television/Bose speaker system with DVR, DVD player, and Roku. We are a family of 5. Our kids are 10, 12 and 13, and we love coming in all seasons. We are reasonably affluent, and we take great pride in our second home. We have outfitted it with all the comforts we expect in a primary residence, and we take delight in making it available to friends, family and to you.

Why Clinton Baller chose Vail

For our second home, we wanted plenty of space (not a cramped ski condo), high-end finishes and a private garage in which to store our toys. This gives us everything we wanted -- and more! It is is a great location, in a quiet section of Vail, within easy reach of the Village. Two miles away, in the Village, a place of this size and quality is FIVE times the price, or more, and you'd never get a heated garage. In a place like Vail, we don't mind walking, or biking, or driving the short distance into town. We LOVE it!

What makes this condo unique

Though we purchased this home in 2007, we've been coming to Vail for years. Here, we have easy access to the ski area and town, to the golf course and the bike path, and to the hiking trails, especially Booth Creek and the trails around Vail Pass. We love taking advantage of the restaurant deals in the off-season, and have made a ritual of coming in the beautiful spring and fall, when tourism is down.

Great Vail Vacation :-)

Pros:
- The location is great! Very close to the ski resort, restaurants, grocery store and pretty much everything you may need.
- There is plenty of space to spread out and get comfortable.
- The garage was a nice bonus in the ice and snow.
- The kitchen was fully stocked with utensils, making it easy for us to prepare meals at home.
- We enjoyed grilling on the deck.
- The house was very warm and cozy downstairs and in the heated garage.
- The couches, beds, and other furnishings are very nice and comfortable.

Cons:
- Please be aware that the upstairs "loft/bedroom" area can only be accessed by climbing a very narrow 8 foot ladder (this is not shown in the pictures). By ladder, I mean a wooden ladder that is bolted down and leans against the floor of the loft area. The base of the bottom of the ladder is placed directly in front of one of the guest bedrooms. To get into the bedroom below you have to duck under the ladder. We did not permit our small children to climb the ladder and open the gate at the top leading to the loft area.
- The water pressure was very low. Even though there are two showers, we could not shower at the same time.
- The blinds in the living room (on the windows and sliding doors) are in horrible condition, some of them are broken and non functional.
Recommended for:  Adventure Seekers, Sightseeing
Owner's Response: The loft description is mostly accurate (thanks!), with the exception that the ladder can easily be moved out of the way if desired. Just watch out for the hall chandelier!

We have never experienced a problem with the water pressure, which has always been sufficient. We do have shower heads that restrict flow in order to save water, but they are pretty standard nowadays in places like Colorado, where water is a scarce resource. They differ considerably from our shower heads at home in Michigan, where water is more plentiful.

The blinds have all been repaired.

Wonderful Week at Bald Mountain

My family just returned from a fabulous week in Vail. While we loved being on the mountain, we also enjoyed being able to come back to such a lovely place in the evening. The town home is really well equipped for making our own dinners, and the crockpot made it extra nice to come back to a ready meal! Since we have four older kids, it was also great to be able to spread out and have a separate bed for everyone. Parking in Vail/Lionshead was easy, even on busy spring break, and we appreciated the reduced fee parking pass. We hope to stay here again next year!

After spending a week at this townhome, we can absolutely recommend this townhome to anyone looking for a home away from home just minutes from the slopes! Fabulous luxe linens, granite counters, custom cabinetry, top grade appliances, flat screen tvs - the quintessential choice if you're looking for a luxurious, yet comfortable living space to return to after a day on the mountain! We have been visiting Vail for many years and this is, bar none, the very best stay and value in Vail!

We've been skiing in Vail for many years, and this is one home we would definitely return to. It's decorated beautifully. Granite counter tops, beautiful spacious bedrooms and baths and large living and dining areas. The kitchen is gorgeous and very well equipped. Additionally, this Vail home is conveniently close to everything via the bus that stops at the end of the street. Great Home!

The master bedroom upstairs has a big window that looks out on the mountain; that's so nice to wake up to. Everyone can fit in the kitchen, and it's set up nicely for cooking and sit down dinners. You can pull out of the garage and be at the mountain in five minutes, and then pull right back in out of the snow. The living room is big enough for everyone to lounge around by the fire and watch movies on the big screen. The place feels like home, and I totally love staying there.

This is a lovely property, about 2 miles outside of Vail Village. The accommodations were wonderful. Plenty of room for family members to find quiet locations to get away from each other, if needed. The kitchen area is designed to be a focal point, which my family really enjoyed. The owner was responsive and accommodating. I strongly recommend this property. Enjoy!
