Very fortunate to have found this condo!

Let me begin by saying WOW! My husband and I wanted to take our daughters & family lab on a nice but close vacation before school started, and I was fortunate enough to come across this place! Jason was very quick to reply to any questions I had, and he was not misleading at all on the condo! Everything was exactly as he said it would be and the views at this place are indescribable! We stayed from 8/2-8/5 and did not want to leave! We plan on going back for Spring Break in March and even for our honeymoon in May! The pictures do not do this place justice, it is beautiful and so much fun. Very secluded and peaceful, yet convenient to get to stores/resaurants etc. I definately recommend this place to couples or small families! I cant wait until our next visit!

The location was great - we overlooked the pool and convenient. The condo could have been very charming, but was decorated in Salvation Army poor. The unit was filthy -- I had to clean the refrigerator before I felt comfortable putting food into it. We were given 2 bath towels for a week's stay --. There were no bed linens for the sofa bed ( we brought our granddaughter thinking that she could spend a night on the sofa). We would never have put her on that sofa anyway. The complex looked very charming - great for picture-taking, but obviously maintenance was minimal as the laundry room was as filthy as the condo. I am sure that for college guys who live in this fashion all would be well, but if you are other, don't bother with this place.

I wasn't able to put in date of arrival -- June 2009
Owner's Response: I apologize that I even have to address the inconsistencies and false information listed in this review. First of all, this is my personal unit which I take vacations. My unit is cleaned after each person departs the property. I inspect the property frequently and I have never experienced the fridge that was too dirty to put food into. A request was made for additional linens, which was performed first available. My housekeeper put out more towels and verified the linens were out. The unit was cleaned again, but was reported it did not need it. The laundry room is common area and is cleaned by the association and not my responsibility. However, I did pass the information to the property manager. The Salvation Army poor decoration comment was completely uncalled for and a personal attack. I pride myself on the way my unit looks. Most of my furniture and decorations are two years old and came from Pier One and Kirkland's. This is not what I consider Salvation Army. The sleeper sofa is in great condition and has been recovered. Please read my other very favorable reviews and look at my pictures. They are an accurate depiction of my property. Unfortunately some people are not satisfied regardless of the attempts made to please them.

Had a great time at the condo! The pictures from the balcony are exactly as it is! Owner was very organized, giving great directions and instructions. Everything was just as stated, except there was no washer/dryer in unit.
(but it is close by) Owner was also very good about returning our deposit in a timely manner. Definitely would recommend. Looking forward to our next visit!
Don't forget to bring food for the deer, who very friendly. They seem to be more active during the late afternoon/evening hours.

Nice place to get away

My wife and I spent a long weekend at the property and found it to be a nice relaxing get away. The owner provided good information (although the first set of directions on the information sheet are unnecessarily complicated - so use the second set). The unit was clean and well-maintained. The one TV in the living area had cable and a DVD player - which came in handy since it was 100 degrees and the lake was down about 20 feet. The pool is just outside the unit, and not surprisingly, very busy. We were disappointed that there was no internet service (wireless would never hook up).

Plates, silverware, glasses, etc were provided in the kitchen - which was much appreciated. Tug's barbecue was a nice surprise and recommended. The on-site restaurant, Brizos, is alright, but not necessarily worth the price. The steaks we ordered were over-cooked, and the wine list consisted of one red and one white. Appetizers were better. The better bet is the on-site grill.

The best find of the stay was Lagos Donuts, who had fantastic donuts, and good kolaches and breakfast tacos.

The location is about 45 minutes outside Austin and Marble Falls is about 30 minutes away.

I stayed in this villa with three other friends for a ladies' weekend. It was comfortably, nicely decorated, and the grounds, facitilies, and views were incredible. The entire community was well-kept. The balcony view of the pool and lake was beautiful at sunset, and the property owner was quick to respond to emails and was very professional. I highly recommend this property.

The description was accurate regarding the location, layout, amenities, etc.. The room and The Island was clean and well-maintained. I would recommend this property. My girlfriend and I stayed for a week. We bass fished and rode mt. bikes everyday. When it was time to relax we had the pool and hot tub not far from the room. We are already making plans to return next year.
