We are architects and commercial construction project managers that love to build wonderful spaces worldwide for living, working, and playing. We have two dogs that we travel with extensively, and we thoroughly enjoy sharing the magic we create with others.
Nancy purchased the property to bring her parents out to California to be closer to family, as they are disabled and are currently in their 90s. She wanted to provide them with a beautiful way to spend their golden years. It was the perfect property to accommodate their disabilities in style, but as they aged they had to move to a local assisted living facility. The property was converted to a vacation rental in 2008, and due to it's location in one of the most stunning and rare forests in the world, and yet close to international airports, it has been a resounding success from the first year, with guests arriving from all corners of the globe. We enjoy sharing the magic of this estate with others, and can offer recommendations on how to make our guest's stay much more than just a place to sleep.
The property is truly a destination in itself, as it affords the opportunity to swim, sunbath, soak in the therapeutic spa, hike in the redwood forest, find quiet spots to sit and reflect or read a good book, cook gourmet meals with friends and family, sit under the stars in front of the outdoor fireplace, be entertained watching hundreds of movies in a surround sound environment, and working out on a private deck with treadmill and exercise bike to keep in shape, without leaving the property. We had Nancy's family reunion with a full house of family members from all over the US, and everyone had the time of their lives. These was plenty of space.... room to gather together, and lots of intimate areas to get away from the crowd. The children were able to have 2 fenced/gated acres to play without the parents worrying that they would be lost in the forest, and they loved the tree house! I'm grateful to be able to share the property with my guests, so they can discover the serenity and magic we experience at this unique property.
