Oustanding Place, Location, and Value

Review Submitted: November 24, 2009 Date of Stay: October 2009
My wife and I as well as another couple in our late 60's rented this unit for 8 nights in early October '09. There were absolutely no surprises. What is seen in the pictures on this site, stated and is promise is absolutely true. It was an ideal location and close to everything - metro, food shops, famous sites, and restaurants. It was cleaned and very well maintained. There was no stairs and a grocery cart was available for making purchases in the nearby food wine stores. The owner was also very informative and accommodating. There were two bedrooms and two bathrooms making it an ideal apartment to be shared by two couples. We could not have asked for more or a better place to stay.

We had a wonderful time primarily attributed to the apartment and its location. It defintely beats staying at a hotel.

I strongly would rent this apartment again as well as strongly recommend it to our friends and family

Perfect Week in Paris

Review Submitted: October 7, 2009 Date of Stay: September 2009
My wife and 4 year old son just stayed here for a week. This is an absolutely beautiful apartment with an even better location. Enormous amount of space, unbelievable kitchen, comfortable beds with great linens, huge master bathroom what more can I say.

Walking distance to great restaurants (we recommend Bistro Saint Ferdinand 38 euro gets you three course meal and a bottle of wine per 2 people amazing classic French dishes) and to great shopping on Champs Elysee. The Argentine Metro stop is 2 minutes walk from the front door.

Skip the tiny expensive hotels and stay here

my son and i just spent 11 days from the end of june til july 4th, it was a great experience, my first time renting an apartment instead of staying at hotels. The owner was wonderful to rent from, very helpful, made renting a breeze! Answered all types of questions from using pay-pal to detailed train information, and what to tell the taxi driver at the airport. Upon arriving we were greeted by a lovely woman who showed us around the apartment and expalined where things were and how to use some of the equipment in the beautiful kitchen. There was also a booklet with detailed instructions just in case we forgot anything that was said. The book provided all the informatin needed to find anything we needed while we were visiting Paris, from food to clothing stores. The apartment it self was beautiful and clean, with modern applicances and large rooms, the pictures were accurate. Owners provide lots of extras, free phone calls to the US, free wireless for laptops, great TV, blueray disc player. Very relaxing to come home to after a day of enjoying the sights and foods of Paris, not to mention the shopping. Must say that the owners made the experience though, they went out of their way to provide all the information to make a first time visit perfect, from start to finsh they were promt, courteous and efficent to deal with, what a pleasure! The apartment was very comfortable, the shower large and clean, the tub relaxing. Lots of closet space and hangers. I would not hesitiate to stay here or any other property they might have. Location was perfect, close to the metro, easy walk to main shopping areas, we walked to many of the main sights, lots of restaurants, very safe and attractive neighborhood. I would not hesitiate to recomend this property.

Stunning Apartment

Review Submitted: June 13, 2009 Date of Stay: September 2008
This apartment far exceeded our expectations and was the perfect base for our family's week-long holiday in Paris. The apartment is in an ideal location - a quiet building in a quiet street, yet very close to L'Arc de Triomphe and the Champs Elysses, and within easy walking distance to Paris' finest parks and sites. Inside, the recent refurbishment has created a luxurious space - it is spacious and light, super-clean and well equipped and beautifully furnished, comfortable and stylish - a marriage of classic architecture and contemporary design. The new appliances in the kitchen and lounge are excellent, and the apartment includes all the items one could need, including beautiful linen. The owners provided an inspiring collection of guides, books and DVDs to entertain us after long days walking and enjoying the wonders of Paris. They also provided great details of nearby restaurants and shops - very helpful when you don't have a long time to look around. Definitely recommended for those wanting a luxury stay in Paris

HUGE Flat, bypass the pricey hotels.

Just got back after spending a week here for my wife's 40th, along with our two daughters 9 and 12. If you are travelling to Paris for more than a few days with your family, do yourself a favor and skip the tiny hotels and book yourself a stay here. This place is HUGE (almost 1300 sq feet, with 10 ft ceilings), updated everything, and spotless. We love to eat out, but after a while to be able to roll out of bed, and enjoy a family breakfast in your own home-away-from-home is priceless. We didn't discover the Nespresso machine until the 3rd day, but for those who are not familiar, you will not find a better cup of espresso anywhere. As soon as we got home we bought ourselves one, and with every use it will remind us of our wonderful trip here to Paris!
The owners were awesome, made sure that every detail was perfect during our stay. The location was very convenient, the owners have written a small guide that was spot on, and just like the other reviewers, can't say enough good things about our stay here.

Great Apartment

Three things make this apartment the perfect choice for a Paris stay. The first is location. Despite being only two blocks from the arc de triomphe (literally) where the Champs Elysées begin, this apartment is located in a very quiet street off the Avenue Foch (for those who like the monopoly board game, in the French version, Foch is the third best road after the Champs Elysées!) near a grocery store and other small shops that are very convenient. The second is size. The apartment is very large (especially by Paris standards) and is well set up. The equipment is very modern and high quality (large flat screen HD TV, awesome coffee machine, and high quality appliances throughout). The beds are extremely comfortable and there is absolutely no noise from either outside or from neighbors. The third is the owner. Guides, maps, and recommendations (as to restaurants and stores) are provided upon arrival, along with a clear explanation as to how to operate the equipment in the apartment (including the wifi internet, washing machine, etc.). Details make a big difference too, such as basic cooking and cleaning items (like salt/pepper, oil, detergent, and coffee), as well as umbrellas in case it rains. These are items we always tend to forget to bring or buy, but make life a lot easier and make the apartment much homier. All in all, we strongly recommend this apartment and hope to be back very soon.

SUCH A BEAUTIFUL FLAT

Review Submitted: October 9, 2008 Date of Stay: September 2008
what a lovely apartment.

beautiful living room with huge windows and loads of natural light. looks onto a quiet street so very quiet and peaceful. very exclusive area and a beautiful building and a lift! (a bonus in paris) beautiful wooden floors, high ceilings, huge flat screen tv, wifi internet, contemporary furniture, high spec kitchen and appliances, lots of wardrobe space and comfy beds made me feel like we were staying at a friends flat rather than a rental flat.

everyone that visited us was very impressed and everyone (!) commented on how lovely it was. was only 1 min from the metro which is on the very convenient line 1 and a 3 min walk to champs elysees. lots of nice (but expensive!) restaurants in the area too.

the apartment had loads of space, there were 6 of us and we had more than enough room. huge living room huge hallway entrance and building entrance. the only drawback was that the shower room and shower room sink were very small but there are 2 sinks and a big bath in the en suite bathroom so this made up for it.

the owners were very nice and extremely easy to deal with before, during and after our stay. they answered any questions we had and were just a phonecall away if we had any problems. little touches like the ta away menus, guide books, novels and dvds were much appreciated.

all in all. great stay would def recommend :)

Perfect in Paris

Review Submitted: September 21, 2008 Date of Stay: September 2008
This property was exactly as described on the HomeAway web site.

We were very impressed with the apartment, it was spacious, airy, clean and well appointed. A luxury apartment in every sense. Everything about the apartment was aimed at making the residents comfortable and well informed about the amenities in the area.

The owners were easy to deal with and most helpful. They answered all inquiries promptly and the arrangements for rental were easily accomplished.

The apartment itself is well located, a five minute walk from the Arc de Triomphe in a very good neighbourhood. There are a variety of food shops and stores nearby as well as access to the Metro.

We found the information book provided by the owners to be a most helpful item. Not only did it explain the use of all of the amenities offered within the apartment, it also listed nearby shopping, restaurants and a variety of useful information.

I would highly recommend this property to visitors to Paris. It was a most pleasant place to stay and from which to explore the city.

A Modern Classic in a Quiet Neighborhood

Gamine New York, USA
Review Submitted: July 28, 2008 Date of Stay: May 2008
My family stayed at this beautifully rennovated apartment for 4 nights in May. From the home decor magazine quality pictures, I initially thought it looked too perfect to be true. But what I saw in the pictures were exactly what I got.

The apartment was extremely clean, bright and comfortable. It is conveniently located near metro, grocery stores, restaurants and bakeries. The kitchen was very well equipped for making meals. The washer and dryer were also a bonus for a family with a small child.

The owners were very solicitous and helpful with everything we needed. We especially appreciated suggestions of local restaurants, attractions and shops. The owners also thoughtfully included in the apartment various guides to Paris and a small collection of DVDs about Paris.

We would love to return soon for another visit!
