Second time here & this time I came with my family including husband, 3 adult children & 2 grand children. The condo is still beautiful, still in good, clean condition & still with all the amenities needed to have a carefree enjoyable time. The skiing was wonderful on Schuss & Summit mountains & we all enjoyed the pool. We are all looking forward to coming back, maybe in the Summer for golfing & definitely next Winter for skiing.

Had a "girls" getaway at Shanty Creek & we had the good fortune of renting this beautiful condo at Cedar River Village. The condo is elegently furnished & yet cozy & warm. All the bedrooms are roomy & everyone remark about the comfort of the beds. The condo has 3 1/2 bathrooms which made it easy for the 7 of us to get dressed & ready to go out at the same time. The condo was very clean & totally ready for us when we arrived. The owner has thought of ever detail which made our stay easy & enjoyable. The owners where easy to work with & made me feel like a friend not just a renter. I enjoyed my stay so much so, I have booked the condo for a ski weekend in March.

I had the good fortune of renting this "Cedar River Retreat" for my family and friends for 4 weekends during the 2011 ski season. What a wonderful find! The pictures are a perfect representation of the interior accommodations but what you can't tell is how comfortable the beds were for sleeping and the furniture to sit on. And there was plenty of room to spread out. The kitchen is well-stocked with dishes and cooking utensils and even has a gas range. There was also an adequate supply of towels, dish soap, dishwashing soap, laundry soap, paper towels, board games and videos/DVD's. While this condo doesn't overlook the ski hill, it's just a very short walk to where you can strap on your gear and head down to the purple lift. My snowboarding teens thought it was very convenient. And speaking of convenience, there's a keypad on the front door which eliminates the need to worry about losing a key. The town of Bellaire is about a 10-15 minute car ride away and it has a Glen's Market, Dollar General, Radio Shack and some great restaurants.

I'm not a golfer but my husband is and I know Shanty Creek is known for its beautiful and challenging golf courses. This condo is just a short walk away from the Cedar River Pro Shop and overlooks one of the holes on the Cedar River course. I guess you could say it's golf-in/golf-out too.

To top it all off, the owner was wonderful to work with. She was both willing and able to honor any reasonable request I had. However, If you do choose to rent this wonderful condo, please don't do it when I want it! :0)
