We had wonderful 2 nights stay at this home. It was very clean and convenient to Flagstaff city, Grand canyon and HWY.

Everything was amazing we did not have to take anything but our food. Our children had so much fun because there was so much snow to play in. The cabin had so much space it was 16 of us who visited and we all were able to sleep comfortably weather it was on the beds or ground, and the loft created a very good extra sleeping space. We hope to visit very soon. As to those who have not been here yet really need to go you will not regret it!

When we booked this property for the day after Christmas with the primary goal of a snowy winter getaway with family and friends hoping for a little bit of snow to play in. When we arrived we found about 4-6 inches of existing snow but that's not all.... It started snowing that evening and didn't stop until the next evening!!! Another 4-5 inches of fresh snow. There is a snow play area 5 minutes down the road but we didn't need to go there. There is a nice little sledding hill right outside the front door.
The cabin was very nice, clean, and cozy. Well stocked with clean towels and linens; the kitchen had everything you need for a nice home cooked meal for large groups (we had 17). The wood burning stove in the living room was perfect for the chilly snowy evenings. The room above the garage was a great place to stick the kids. It's like a little apartment fully furnished with TV, mini fridge,Microwave...
This was a very enjoyable stay and a lot of great memories made. Wish we could have stayed longer. I definitely want to come back in the summer to check out the area without all of the snow.

Stayed here with my sister-in-laws and our kids for a polar express weekend. The cabin is beautiful, very clean, and very accomodating. We truly needed nothing except our clothes and toiletries. There was plenty of room for the kids to be outside playing or inside the upper loft. Everyone slept comfortably too. We loved the wood burning fireplace inside and used the fire pit outside. The location is perfect- we had a great time. Thank you Malcolm and staff for letting us stay in your beautiful cabin. Perhaps in the future you can maybe add a hot tub - then it would truly be heaven! Ha ha! Thank you again. !!

Our stay at the Cedar House was immensely satisfying. We loved the surroundings, and found the house to be quite comfortable and fit our every need. It is well stocked with kitchen supplies, bathroom supplies, linens, blankets, even plenty of laundry detergent. It is located in a secluded woods area which made it very peaceful for us. There were 7 of us and we each had the privacy of a bedroom. The upstairs bedroom has its own living area as well, so was a nice place to get away and find personal privacy. We enjoyed walks down the road and roaming through the woods. The house is less than an hour from the Grand Canyon and is a beautiful drive. We enjoyed our time together so much, we never even turned on the TV. However, our stay was abruptly interrupted when my 89 year old father had a stroke on our 4th evening there. Cell service is a little slow, and there is no land line, but we were able to contact 911 and were very impressed how quickly emergency personnel arrived. We had called the property manager and let her know about the situation and she was very kind and compassionate. Unfortunately, because my dad was quickly transferred to Mayo in Scottsdale, we had to check out 2 days early. Again, the staff was kind and reimbursed us for the final days. We are grateful for all the help received and for the kindness extended to our family during a crisis situation. We highly recommend the Cedar House as a great vacation spot for families, or for small group gatherings. You won’t regret it; it is a lovely house with plenty of space and gorgeous surrounding. This was my first time venturing away from a hotel but, I must say the experience was fantastic. The cabin itself was beautiful. Situated on a great piece of property, it provides seclusion yet you are minutes from the civilization. The owner has made sure guests are afforded every convenience. All you really need to bring is you, your guests and food. The rest, everything from spices to cook with to plastic bags to take out trash, are provided. It's perfect for large groups who want to be together, yet still want some privacy as there are several bedrooms and areas to "escape" if you want. We will definitely be going back.

The house was beautiful and well stocked with all basic amenities. Its location is awesome, and very private. Our kids loved the little apartment like room above the garage. You know the kids are enjoying their surroundings when for three days, with a flat screen TV right in front of them, not once did the ask to watch TV. Would love to come back when there is no fire restriction to be able to sit outside with a fire.Thanks for everything

We had a family get together here and it was so nice. We had people from Pennsylvania, Texas, Utah and Nevada all in one spot. What a beautiful place. there were seven of us and we had plenty of room and everything we needed to make our stay comfortable. We didn't see any elk but loved being up against the pines. When we would come back from a day at the Grand Canyon or other adventure we felt at home and comfortable. Malcolm was easy to work with on all our arrangements and we knew just what expected of us when we arrived and before we left. We had a member of the family who stayed up above the garage. What a beautiful room. He could be with the family but still have time to himself with a TV and a small fridge. We would recommend this home to anyone and everyone. Thanks for making our stay so great!
