Great place to stay

My husband and I stayed at Heavens Peak for a week Sept 2010.

We found the accomodations perfect for our needs. The bedroom was particularly comfortable.

Our hosts were AWESOME! Made us feel like old friends.

The Lodge is close and convieniet to all things Glacier.

The Bistro restaurant was perfect after a long day roaming around Glacier National park, convenient and a good value.

Be warned there is no TV. We found we didnt need it. I did use my netbook alot in th evenings though.

We would reccomend for Mature travelers, Families with older children and adventure seekers alike.

Picture and Description Misleading

The picture is very misleading. This is not in the woods but right on the busy highway across from a helicopter tour company. You are just renting a unit in the building the rest is used as a restaurant and bar Thursday-Sunday.This is not mentioned at all!!!!! We just happened to be there on a Tuesday so we did not have the restaurant noise so be careful what days of the week you are there. Read the amenities carefully also- there is no TV, Cable or computer hook-up/ wifi. Nice comfy bed linens and bathroom/sauna if that is important to you. Very clean with lots of air fresheners (I had to unplug a few it was so strong!). We were also double booked and put up in a motel one night. Need to drive off sight for any activities or attractions road is quite busy to walk or cross.

Extremely comfortable, lots of room

We spent two nights (a Friday & Saturday) at Heaven's Peak. Beds were more comfortable than ours at home. Condo had lots of room. Luxury bathroom with jacuzzi tub and sauna. Some noise from wedding reception above us on Saturday night, but quiet by 10 PM, which was fine for us. Will definitely add to our list of great accommodation on the west side of the park.

Highly misrepresented picture

The picture shown is very misrepresented as the so called Lodge is a restaurant and where they put you is under the restaurant with no TV, RADIO, WASHER/DRYER. The path to get into the entrance(which is French doors) is either muddy or unpaved and the parking is on a gravel road. You also hear foot steps whenever there is anyone in the restaurant as you are right underneath it,
Owner's Response: Hello
In response to review, we are saddened that our guests did not enjoy their time at the Lodge as our goal and the reason for the construction of the resort is to provide a wonderful place for people to rest and enjoy the beauty of Glacier National Park. Thankfully the majority of our guests are happy with their stay at the lodge.
Regarding review:
The photo of the exterior of the lodge is taken from the east side of the lodge.
We did open a Bistro in summer 2009, 5:00pm-8:30 pm, closed and quiet by 10:00pm, which is the resorts quiet hours. The bistro is located outside of the lodge near the meadow and was enjoyed by numerous guests as a place to rest, relax, and enjoy a nice meal before retiring for the evening.
As listed under amenities on website, no TV, radio, or washer or dryer are provided. Laundry facilities are less than a mile away in West Glacier.
The reason for the muddy entrance was due to a sprinkler system company installing sprinklers.. A mat was placed over the 6 inch patch of dirt near the entrance where the sprinkler was installed enabling guests to walk over the dirt without concern. If future guests have any questions or concerns please feel free to call or email. Thank you
