A pristine condo in a heavenly setting! Lovely walks on the beach, and we pretty much had the pool to ourselves. The staff at Estrella del Mar were wonderful and Bill & Anita gave us lots of helpful info before we arrived.

If you are looking for peace and quiet, a beautiful pool, and a beautiful beach, this is your spot. We saw dolphins, and a whale! We could not have asked for more!

EDM was the perfect getaway for us this year....secluded and quiet with the ambience that is second to none. Loved the condo, loved the beach, loved the heated pool (unusual for Mexico), loved the golf course and met a few new friends along the way. Great restaurant and the staff are marvelous. A bit far from Mazatlan so if you are looking for quiet and serene this is the place! We'll be back!

We loved our stay in this great condo. Everything was as depicted in the photos and the view from the balconies were stunning! The location was very relaxing and secluded and yet only a short drive into the city. We enjoyed our beach walks, playing in the waves, and seeing the dolphins on two different days. Olga, the H.O.A. lady, helped set up our ziplining adventure, which was so much fun! Thanks to Bill and Anita for providing us with this excellent condo, we hope to come back someday.

The Condo was perfect and just as it was discribed in VRBO if not better. EDM was quite and very well maintained, the staff could not do enough for us. Bill and Anita provide tons of info and answered all our questions. Over all a perfect 10 days and we'll be back in 2010

This is paradise. If you want to relax by day on the deck, at the pool or on the beach or if you are a golfer this is the place. My husband played golf almost everyday and I walked the beaches, read books and just plain relaxed. This unit is in the building closest to the beach so it has beautiful views. Being on the second floor with no one above, we didn’t get any of the noise of moving chairs, walking, etc. from above. It’s only one flight of stairs down to the pool and beach so super simple.
We liked the idea that EDM is ecologically minded with a turtle sanctuary just down the beach 50 yards or so. The food at the golf club restaurant is very good but we rented a car and went to town (about 25 minutes) and bought groceries so did most of our own cooking in the well equipped kitchen or on the charcoal barbeque.
There is not any shopping or night life at EDM, other than the live music a couple days a week at the restaurant. Shoppers, remember to book your shuttle ride and I think the last shuttle returns from town at 7:30 pm. We would recommend a rental car as visiting old town Mazatlan is really neat and there are some great restaurants on the town plazas. Driving is a little different but if you just go steady and watch out for the wild ones you will be fine. Oh remember, the closest gas station to fill up your rental is on the main highway into town so give yourself time to get there and fill up before heading back to the airport. Many gas stations only take cash so keep some handy. If you need help or advice, the Resident Manager, Olga is very nice and David the Property Rental Manager can also help arrange things for you.
I highly recommend this unit as one of the best at Estrella del Mar. We hope to go back soon!

Our stay was all we expected it to be. This condo is in an excellent location looking over the enormous swimming pool and right over the edge of the beach. It is on the second floor with no one above so there was no noise from moving chairs, etc.

The condo is decorated beautifully and there is charcoal grill on the deck that we used extensively. There is also a nice restaurant at the golf club house which has live music 2 or 3 nights a week. I think on Wednesday and Friday for sure.

If you like to play golf the course is terrific and the rates are reasonable. If you plan to go into Mazatlan city many times you may want to consider renting a car as it takes about 25 minutes to get to town. Otherwise, you can arrange to ride on the EDM shuttle to town to explore and shop.
