Photos and Description of the Hot Springs vacation house rental
2 bedrooms, 1 full bathroom, sleeps 4

Remodeled cabin on 154 feet of Lake Hamilton with a private boat launch. Inside the city limits of Hot Springs with a country feel close to all major attractions.

House history: This house has just been remodeled to compliment the little red house (#186677) and each will sleep a maximum four persons. Condos have been overbuilt on Lake Hamilton and older houses with open space on Lake Hamilton are becoming harder to find due to land values. This house is more in tune with the old Hot Springs that had lake cottages and weekenders.

Prior guests: We have converted several hotel and condo guests that prefer not to share walls. We keep all our properties in good working order and we have had no major problems. We always want to know if anything needs attention, is not to your satisfaction or that we could change in the future to make your next stay more pleasant. We believe you will find excellent value in our properties.

Fishing: Come and watch Laura feed the catfish, turtles, perch and ducks every evening during the season. This often results in our guests casting their fishing lines off the pier or from under the covered dock away from the sun. Most just catch and release, but there is a cleaning table on the pier if you would like to catch dinner. We have had professionals stay with us to scout the lake prior to a tournament, but many of our guests have never fished before. The children really get into it like Opie in Mayberry.

Turtle Crossing: Turtles show up every day in season for their daily feeding along with several fish. The turtles lay their eggs on the property and always return to their birth place for the next generation. Instead of asking our guests to watch for turtles, we named our three units (Peaceful cottage, Little red house, and Little red cabin) Turtle Crossing. More pictures can be seen on our web page: flipkey.com/frontdesk/view/17829.

About Terry & Laura Langston

Moved here from California to take an early retirement and started converting long term rentals into vacation rentals as they became vacant.

Terry & Laura Langston purchased this house in 2003
Why Terry & Laura Langston chose Hot Springs

We had already purchased another home, but decided to take the larger lake house with 154 feet on Lake Hamilton to call our home. This house currently doubles as our office with plans to rebuild out of the flood zone and move the office to another long term rental closer to the road and entrance to the property.

What makes this house unique

Being on a cove two miles from the main channel provides a peaceful quiet setting. In the city limits with a country feel and close to everything Hot Springs has to offer.

Great Little Red Cabin

What a lovely little cabin! Overlooking the lake, with a fantastic front porch, you won't find a more peaceful, quiet place to stay that is also so close to everything!

The cabin was clean and very comfortable - both beds had comfortable mattresses and soft sheets. The kitchen was furnished with a stove, coffee maker, microwave and large refrigerator. The kitchen table was set up to seat four, but a leaf was available in the closet if you wanted to make it bigger.

Five houses sit on the lot, one belonging to the landlords, so if you need anything, Terry and Laura are right there to help out. They are super-friendly and nice as can be.

The living room has some books, a TV and a DVD player, as well as cards, dominoes and a chess set. The first bedroom has a radio, and the bathroom. You pass through the first bedroom to get to the bigger bedroom, which is a bit unusual, and if anyone in the big room needs the bathroom, they have to go through the other room. Could be a problem for some families, but we worked it out. The bigger bedroom is furnished with a TV, but it is ONLY a VCR, and some dated VHS tapes are available. It's pretty fun if you're into nostalgia!

Definitely give the Little Red Cabin a chance. We loved it, and it's just a mile or so from tons of restaurants and such. We will be back!

Our Little Red Cain Stay in Feb 2012

For the second year in a row, my husband and I stayed in the little red cabin on lake hamilton. We had a wonderful time. When we left in 2011 we felt like we were moving our of our beloved house, when we came back, this year, it felt like we were "home" again.
The description is very good, the play is nice and comfortable, clean, well maintained and very homey feeling. The owners, Terry and Laura are super, and do everything they can for you. We like this place so much we have told tons of people about it.
The cabin is not far from all the Hot Springs fun. Less than 5 minutes to the horse track, casino, downtown, shopping, boat rentals, everything. And so much fun. There are lots of great places to each around Hot Springs, but I believe we liked the Wharf the best. Beautiful views of the lake, even when in it's down winter season. And some of the real "bar-b-que" places around the area are excellent.
Not many places when you can go wrong. And there are all the things you need to cook inside, or on the grill at the cabin also.
Thanks to Terry and Laura for another great year.

Relaxing by the Lake

My family of four stayed at the Little Red Cabin last week. My husband & I agreed it was our favorite part of the trip. The owners are super nice and let us watch them feed the turtles, geese and fish. They even let our kids use their pool floats! Our 5 year old son caught his first fish off their boat dock! When we go back to Hot Springs, we will definitely stay there again, and we've told several friends who say they want to go visit and will check the schedule for the cabin. The place is super clean and stocked with everything you will need for a relaxing vacation!

Better than hotels, by a bunch

We stayed a couple of nights while digging quartz at the Coleman miines in Jessieviille. This so much better than hotels/motels; the quiet and privacy are not something you expect when renting a lodging. And it would be hard to find more accomodating people than the owners-Terry and Laura. Clean, well maintained, close enough to be anywhere in Hot Springs within a half hour, but removed from the noise and crowds- you should check it out.

HOME AWAY FROM HOME (A GREAT PLACE TO STAY)

We spent two weeks in January and enjoyed all the things to do in this area which included hiking in all the parks. Shopping and restaurants are within short drive. The cabin has everything you would need to spend time away from home. The area is very quiet and a good place to relax. The owners are very nice and helpful in providing information about the area. We would recommend this to anyone and look forward to staying again.

My family and I had a great time. At first I was doubting into booking this place since I had only been dealing with booking hotels and wasn't too sure, but I decided to go ahead and book this cabin and I made a good choice. The cabin was clean and it had a very warm feeling unlike hotels it felt as if we were at home. The view of the lake was the most wonderful view very peacefull. the owners were very nice people. Our children also got to feed the fish and turtles and swim in the lake. They had a blast they didn't even want to come back home. So if your undicided like I was don't hesitate and book it you will have a great time!

This was one the nicest rentals that I have ever had. Very clean and well maintained. Kids enjoyed fishing right in the back yard. Neighbors were friendly. Most definitely will recommend to all my friends to stay here. Make sure you either bring your boat or rent one. That was one of the highlights of our trip. Dont go to Magic Springs on a weekend unless you really like long lines and crowds. I would recommend a weekday.
