A Great Escape is a gorgeous 2 story 5 bedroom home ( 2 master suites ) with a PRIVATE POOL , a large deck and Chef's Delight kitchen.,the kitchen offers 2 cook stations; one is for indoor grilling and is equipped with everything a chef could ever want. The formal living room boasts a beautiful hand laid Colorado stone fireplace ,while the Den renders spectacular views of the sunsets over the Bay and can be closed off for complete privacy. This private home has plenty of open spacious room for entertaining friends or family, offering a wet bar, a fenced in yard and a double garage to store all of your beach equipment or cycles. A short walk to the beach or a bus ride to the board walk.,possibly a night out at Harpoon Hanna's or taking the family crabbing - both are located directly across the street. A Great Escape supplies all linens and towels to make your dream vacation come true. We furnish 6 bikes and a beach cart for your beach gear

We provide 6 bicyles for your crusing pleasure. Yard is completely fenced so there is no worry for children playing outside.

WE DO NOT ACCEPT ANY GROUP RENTALS. If falsely represented as a family, entry will be denied at arrival and all funds will be forfeited.

WE DO NOT ACCEPT PARTIAL WEEK RENTALS

We are just about 6 blocks to the beach - very walkable. You may chose to ride the bikes up to the beach and use the beach cart for all you beach gear or a ride for the little guys. If you chose to drive to the end of the street to the beach, you will find free public parking on the side street. Another option is the Fenwick state park on the beach which will provide parking, bathrooms and a concession stand. I have gone there many times and find it very enjoyable. It is about a 5 mintue drive from the house.

Cancellations must be re-rented for the full amount prior to an refund. Cancellation fee of 10% of base rental rate.

Our family vacation was wonderful, thanks to the amenities at a great escape. The home is meticulously kept and everything you could possibly think of was provided...including bath towels and linens.
We had 16 people stay very comfortably and we all had our privacy. My parents really enjoyed the large Master suite with the huge jetted tub and private balcony overlooking the family room with gorgeous stone fireplace.
The bikes provided for guests were convenient to ride to the beach or just around the neighborhood. The private pool was a great bonus for the evenings after a hot day on the beach. Some days we didn't even leave the home.
The kitchen had every cooking tool imaginable including a roaster, crockpot, blender, mixer, skewers, gas grill, bake ware, tupperware etc....we made great use of the kitchen for meals and snacks. The upgraded appliances, granite counters and ceramic tile floors made cleanup in the kitchen a cinch!
Dining out is a great option -Phillips seafood is on the next block and Harpoon Hanna's is a walk across the street. Both excellent places to eat with varied prices and menu choices. Harpoon Hanna's has a lively Tiki bar on the bay for those who are late nighters.
The location is pleasantly quiet, yet convenient to all the restaurants, stores and shops on Coastal Highway.
We have already reserved the home for next year. Thank you to Ken and Karen for A Great Escape!

Loved It!! Great Family Vacation House

Four families shared this house for a week. Everyone had a wonderful time. The house was everything that we had hoped for and more, very clean and maintained. Much more spacious than the pictures show. Great location if you prefer quiet to noisy. Next door to Harpoon Hanna's is a bonus, great food and drinks. We would recommend this property to everyone, especially nice for families.

Recommended for: Age 55+, Adventure Seekers, Girls Getaway, Sightseeing, Families with Teenagers, Families with Young Children, People with Disabilities, Romantic Getaway
