i had the most wonderful weekend with my sisters and brother, and kids and pets and we all had an awesome time, the owner came one day to pickup the garbage and was really friendly, the views are simply amaizing, we are definetly looking forward to go back during summer and also fall, plenty of places to go hiking and 4wheeling we even found trails, and lets not even talk about the jacuzzy overlooking the river while it was snowing, the kids had the most beautiful time eating smores outside by the the fire while looking and naming the stars, and the last day i got to see a family of deers and an eagle!!

There are so many amazing things to say about this place. The house was beautiful. Everything was available upon our arrival. Roger really made the entire weekend possible. We ended up overpaying and he caught the mistake and gave us money back. Anywhere else, that wouldn't have happened. We enjoyed it so much that we actually rented again in June. Can't wait to go back :)

This is our second time coming to this house.I cant say enough great things!! From the wonderful home owner, who is beyond pleasant to the cleanliness of the home. The hot tub is beyond wonderful and the location and view is gorgeous! This house is all around awesome...i promise you that you will have a great time!

The Damascus Vacation Home was everything described in the listing and much, much more! This was, by far, one of the nicest vacation homes we have rented in many years. The views were absolutely beautiful, the home was spotlessly clean, and everything was supplied from cookware to entertainment right on down to clean sheets and towels. All we needed was a quick run down to Peck's Market for food and we were absolutely set for the week! We had a snow storm on the Tuesday of our stay which made everything even more beautiful. The walks in the woods were fantastic and lots of wildlife was sighted - we even saw black squirrels, which I haven't seen in over 10 years! With the remoteness of this home and all of it's amenities, we all left feeling totally relaxed and recharged.

Roger, Steve, and Dianna were very helpful and they had everything ready for us upon our arrival - Thanks to you all for everything! I would highly recommend this vacation home for anyone looking to get away from you busy life style - this is the place to truly relax. As a matter of fact, I have already booked another stay here in 2013 and I am really excited to return! Thanks again Roger for the "Excellent Getaway" and I'll see you in 2013!!!

I'm not great with words, so i won't waste too many of them. Suffice to say, our group had a blast this weekend - thanks especially to this wonderful property and the owner himself! We arrived to find the house opened up and completely prepared for our arrival, with a little note letting us know when the hot tub would be ready. Our group of nine (9) adults found the home perfectly spacious, enough that all of us could find a nice private place to relax should the need arise, and never felt crowded or that more room was needed. The area surrounding the property was just as lovely, and a few nature walks provided a delightful change of pace from lazing about by the fire on the very comfortable furniture. The view of the river was just astonishing: the photo does it no justice. It was positively stunning, like a painting set just above the horizon. Every morning while preparing breakfast we were able to enjoy a visit from some area locals - families of deer, some turkey, squirrels - and i'm pleased to say we noticed two eagles sailing about the skies throughout the long weekend. We all had such an incredible time that we essentially demanded of each other that it become an annual ritual, and i can't think of a better place to make it happen than this property. And i'd like to say for the record that our enjoyment of the weekend would likely have been diminished if Roger himself wasn't such an accommodating, warm and friendly and conversational host. He was absolutely great and really helped to make this weekend perfect. Thanks again!

The weekend that we spent in this house was overall a great experience, and we were quite disappointed when it came time to leave. The listing was on point in terms of the decription of the location and ameneties. The property was clean and completely ready for us when we arrived as the owner promised. Roger, the owner was easily reachable via both email and phone and was very courteous and helpful when it came to answering any questions we had. The house easily accomodated all 12 of us with spacious bedrooms and dining area, although most of our time was spent outdoors enjoying the beautiful view of the river from the property, in the hot tub as well as by the fishing areas which were a shart drive away. I would recommend this location to anyone who is fond of the outdoors as well as anyone who is simply looking for a comfortable home to relax in. We are looking forward to renting from Roger again in the near future.

Friends and I had a great stay at this house! The house was opened up and ready for us when we arrived. The house was exactly like in the pictures and the view was even better. We got snow one night and it made everything look even more beautiful. The driveway was plowed all the way up to the house by 6am so we had no problems there. The hot tub was very clean, as was the whole house. The 30 minute ride to the ski resort was very scenic. We really enjoyed exploring the house and property and would definitely go back! Roger was very accommodating and the house is very secluded (which we loved) so it was nice to know someone was looking out for us and making sure all our needs were met during our stay! Overall, great vacation!!

Not sure what the other person recently reviewing hated so much about this home, we thought it was amazing!! Very peaceful, comfortable and has any necessities that one needs for a weekend away from home. The home was very comfortable, and clean and the owner was extremely helpful when we had any questions. This was the perfect weekend getaway for our family and dog, as the home is surrounded by beautiful views, and when searching for a peaceful "homey" place to just get away for a bit, this was perfect. Also, we received our security deposit within days of our return, so that was quite impressive also! We loved our stay and will absolutely be staying in the warmer months!! Thank you to the owner for being so helpful and accommodating and providing speedy responses to all of our questions and concerns.
