Week of relaxation in Costa Rica!

Ricki & Susan Deer Park, TX, USA
Review Submitted: October 23, 2008 Date of Stay: October 2008
Words will not be adequate to describe the really relaxing time that we just recently experienced when staying for one week in the Villa in Manuel Antonio. This house is absolutely the most perfect setting to enjoy Costa Rica. We would spend a portion of every day enjoying kayaking, whitewater rafting, hiking thru rain forests, spending time at the National Park and taking in the butterfly gardens and then we would come home to watch the rains move thru the area, swim in the beautiful pool, sit on the porch and just gaze at the Pacific Ocean and Quepos, watch for rainbows, watch the birds, and just drink in the beautiful landscaping.

Hats off to the Staff for the management of this property. They take care of every detail for you, from the maid service, to the pool cleaner, and the property manager taking care of us by arranging all of our tours. They were great!

If you are looking for a perfect place to stay while you enjoy the nature of Costa Rica, this is it!

Terrific private home with its own infinity pool

canes_girl Aurora, CO
Review Submitted: June 2, 2009 Date of Stay: May 2009
What a lovely home! The furniture is very comfortable, the views are awesome and the privacy is terrific. There's plenty of flora and fauna to admire and the aroma from the flowers is very peaceful.
This property is exceptionally well-maintained by several staff. The housekeeping girl comes to clean 3 times per week, as does the pool man. The property manager, Thomas is very helpful, particularly if you want to set up tours.
If you want to dine out or see the sights, you will need to rent a car. Be careful: the roads are very serpentine! Also, while you are relatively close to the water, if you want to go to the beach, you'll want to go to the beaches in the Manuel Antonio National Park (for which you'll need a car). However, most of our time was spent in the lovely pool.
For dinner: go to La Luna at Gaia (5 star restaurant with a great sunset view). For dinner and/or drinks: our favorite was Marlintini's.

Paradise in every sense of the word

This villa is paradise in every sense of the word. The house is luxurious and comfortable, the garden is beautiful and the infinity pool offers a spectacular view. It's also a wildlife lover's dream with hummingbirds nesting on the patio, 30+ species of birds on the property and monkeys passing through! We couldn't think of a better place to honeymoon!

More in love than ever before

Review Submitted: January 19, 2009 Date of Stay: November 2008
Thank you for two glorious weeks in this peaceful paradise! We loved early morning breakfasts overlooking the Pacific Ocean and the spectacular sunsets from the pool. Even the Garden of Eden did not have such a lovely outdoor shower with a view! Susan and Steven, you have created a unique, romantic retreat and we felt privileged to stay here surrounded by such beautiful gardens. We'd especially like to recognize Marilyn's conscientious and dependable service-she kept everything spotless. Thomas was also very helpful organizing everything for us. We leave feeling refreshed, renewed and more in love than ever and wish the same for all who may stay here in the future.

Perfect villa with perfect view!

Review Submitted: January 19, 2009 Date of Stay: December 2008
We fell in love with the villa the moment we started our drive up the hill. It was so private!

When we first arrived on the property we were struck by the beauty of the gardens. So many different plants, more exotic than we could have ever imagined! We got to the villa in the late afternoon and after we finished unpacking and finally relaxed after our flight and such, we were treated to the most beautiful sunset we have ever seen. The sun goes down over the pacific ocean and the light plays on the mountains opposite it. Perfect view, nothing in the way!

Then there's the pool and the outside shower! When you're swimming in the pool (which is the perfect temperature for the hot days) it looks like you can just keep swimming into the ocean! The outside shower was amazing and the property is so private that it doesn't matter how little clothing you wear!

We were so happy with our vacation! The property was safe and it's like there are no other people around. We couldn't have dreamt of a better getaway.

Thank you so much!!
Jenn

The perfect villa

Glenn from Hawaii Texas/Hawaii, USA
Review Submitted: September 26, 2008 Date of Stay: September 2008
You can not find a better place to stay while travelling in Costa Rica. The villa was even more beautiful than the website portrays and it exceeded our already high standards from the pictures provided. We woke up to the view of the lush valley and ocean from our bedroom and caught breathtaking sunsets from the comfort of the infinity pool. The location is away from the hustle and bustle of the town, but close enough to dine out or do some shopping without much effort. Even growing up in Hawaii had not prepared us for such a perfect piece of paradise and we were truly sad to leave. Thomas and his staff were incredible and took care of any issues we had, answered all of our questions, and kept the property spotless without being intrusive. David and his wife Susan were very helpful giving us all the information we needed before arrival and truly have created one of the most romantic settings imaginable. We look forward to our next stay and couldn't imagine visiting another property while in Manuel Antonio.
