We stayed at the "villa" a couple of weeks ago, and all I can say is that it was nothing less then spectacular... we are already thinking about another stay.
The privacy and beauty was spectacular... we loved the feel of the villa.. the pool, and the opportunity for intimacy was a pure release. There are so many things to do in Quepos and the Manuel antonio area, that you will run out of days... way before you run out of things to do.
We enjoyed great activities by day... found great places for a glass of wine for the sunsets, then it was off to the fun cuisine for dinner. We did cook in for some breakfasts, and even one dinner... but we found we really soaked in the local color.
As for the villa... the pool, atmosphere and beautiful and private accommodations were outstanding. And what an exhilarating location overlooking the bay. And every night, enjoying the pool was a perfect way to wind down...
And if you want to be able to take advantage of the local culture and activities, yet have a local contact... Thomas was awesome. We didn't need to call on him a lot, cause we did our homework... but knowing he was there was a comfort... and when we did call, he took great care... that was great.
One suggestion... Rent a small SUV. It was great to have the freedom to come and go... there is so much to see, and so many venues to take in the sights. But... rent a small one.
All in all... if you want romance, beauty, local Central american culture, intimacy... and did I mention romance... you can't go wrong.

Week of relaxation in Costa Rica!

Words will not be adequate to describe the really relaxing time that we just recently experienced when staying for one week in the Villa in Manuel Antonio. This house is absolutely the most perfect setting to enjoy Costa Rica. We would spend a portion of every day enjoying kayaking, whitewater rafting, hiking thru rain forests, spending time at the National Park and taking in the butterfly gardens and then we would come home to watch the rains move thru the area, swim in the beautiful pool, sit on the porch and just gaze at the Pacific Ocean and Quepos, watch for rainbows, watch the birds, and just drink in the beautiful landscaping.
Hats off to the Staff for the management of this property. They take care of every detail for you, from the maid service, to the pool cleaner, and the property manager taking care of us by arranging all of our tours. They were great!
If you are looking for a perfect place to stay while you enjoy the nature of Costa Rica, this is it!

Amazing Honeymoon!!!!

This was the most amazing honeymoon! We stayed at the villa for the last 5 nights of our honeymoon. It was so romantic! We loved the total privacy and spectacular ocean views! Its so private that we literally took all of our showers at the outdoor shower!
Thomas was a great asset to have as well. He is so kind and knowledgeable about the area. He booked us 2 days of in suite couples massages, a guided tour of Manuel Antonio Park with Henry (an absolute must do!!!!) And a white water rafting trip with Felipe the owner of Pro Rafting (so much fun!!!). We had planned another excursion but decided to cancel just so we could enjoy this amazing villa more. We are so happy we did! We felt very safe here and very well taken care of by everyone.
If you can only pull yourself away from this beautiful villa for 3 hours (which is difficult) then you must do the guided park tour with Henry. We never would have seen 95% of the animals without him. And he has a scope for you to look thru so you can see the sloths, howler monkeys, squirrel and white faced monkeys that are high in the trees. He took our point and shoot camera up to the scope so we have amazing up close shots of all of this animals!!! Thomas will set you up with Henry.
This was exactly what we were hoping for and so much more!!!! We will definitely be back. We only wish we never had to leave this little piece of HEAVEN! :)

Very Romantic Villa

My husband and I celebrated our 20th anniversary at the villa. The pictures of the villa are surprisingly accurate. The view is spectacular, especially at sunset. It's the perfect size for a couple to get away and with the privacy, it is very romantic. Thomas booked our activities and was a big help. There are a lot of beautiful places to see around the area such as Manual Antonio National Park. We saw monkeys, sloths, and many speciesof birds. We also went zip lining which we highly recommend.
We would love to return in the future. It was like a second honeymoon!

My wife and I had a wonderful time here at the Villa. We stayed a total of 8 nights and Thomas helped us book several activities and tours. He was professional and prompt. The pool was lovely and the view was stunning. The pool was cleaned twice during our stay. The maid also came twice. It was centrally located between MA and Quepos. You definitely need a car. The Villa is extremely private and quiet. I would love to return but there is so many other places in the world to visit.

The Villa certainly lived up to expectations - the location is superb with panoramic views over the ocean, just like in the online brochure. When the weather is fine and clear you can enjoy the sunset over the ocean too. The Villa is situated at the top of the small residential complex. It is completely private, overlooked by nobody and wonderfully peaceful. The appartment (although one bedroom / one bathroom) is spacious and well laid out. The proportions and facilities give you the impression you have rented a much bigger villa. The kitchen is open and bright and reasonably well equipped. There is an open plan living area with dining table and a corner sitting area to relax and watch TV. But frankly with such a generous sized covered balcony and such gorgeous views there is hardly any reason to sit inside. The plunge pool, with infinity views over the ocean gets the sun from about 9 in the morning until sunset. So plenty of time to sit and enjoy the sun if you wish. Like the villa, it is really a very reasonable size. Not big enough to do rigorous lengths but certainly you can swim around and do equatic exercises alone or with company. During our week in Manuel Antonio, we got into a lovely routine of doing trips and adventures in the morning and then returning for a late lunch on the balcony. In the evenings we would pick one of the many restaurants between Quepos and Manuel Antonio for a fish supper. Thomas, who looks after the villa was very efficient and responded immediately if there was a problem ( our only issue was a brief cut in water supply ). He also assisted with booking trips for us and in general being most helpful. We would certainly recommend this villa as a great base for exploring the Manuel Antonio area of Costa Rica, as a place to chill and relax - and you do not have to be on honeymoon to enjoy its location!

After a good six months of doing some research for the perfect place in Costa Rica, we found "The Villa"! Upon arrival we met Thomas in Quepos. He had us follow in our car. Now I won't lie, the drive up to the house was a lot steeper then we anticipated. However, upon reaching the top and entering the front gate of the house, we were in total awwe! The view was absolutely BREATHTAKING!!!!! The villa is very comfy and has all of the amenities. The bed, to our surprise was extremely comfy and everything was perfectly clean! And then there was the pool!!! Ohhhhh, that wonderful wonderful pool! We could have stood by the pool all day every day and of been perfectly happy! The privacy is superb! What a shame our stay was for only ten days and not 30 :-(. My advice is to take the bus down to the beach. It's the easiest and most unexpensive way to get there. The bus can be waived down directly across from the gated entrance. The night life is nice, but keep in mind that unlike city living, everything starts closing around 11PM and taxis become hard to get.
The staff was great!!! Yorleni, the cleaning lady was a total doll! She cleaned while we were there but did not disturb us. we had her do our laundry and upon returning from the beach it was perfectly folded in the bed. The pool was kept very clean. As for Thomas, he was fantastic! Thomas helped us book our tours and the best advice on what to do and what to expect. Any questions we had, he was more then happy to answer them, and did so very quickly. We were impressed!
Booking the villa was easy and a very pleasant experience. Susan and Steven explained what they provided with the villa and went over the policy very clearly with us. Any questions we had, we were able to call them and get clear answers as well.
Thanks to Susan and Steven, we were able to celebrate our tenth wedding anniversary in the best possible way. It truly was paradise! Thank you!
We look forward to staying at the villa again.

The reviews are true. The views are spectacular, the house is comfortable, and the pool is absolutely outstanding. You will definately want to rent a small 4 wheel drive as the driveway is very narrow and steep. The reward is an unforgetable view. The sunsets are incredible. Thomas recommended we have a driver take us from San Jose to the home and back. That was good advice, much more relaxing. Driving around Quepos and Manuel Antonio area is fine. There are lots of fun activities in the area, but its hard to get yourself away from the pool because it is so relaxing. We would love to return here again.

Perfect !!

This house is all it claims to be and more. We were here for our honeymoon and 7 days is not enough. Susie worked with me to get our dates scheduled and from there things just kept getting better. Thomas Franz, the manager, arranged all travel from San Jose and scheduled our rental car to be delivered to us the following day. He met us at the house and went through all we would need to know. He even stocked the fridge with champagne and breakfast goodies and it was 2:30am when we arrived. All of the staff, housekeeper, gardener, and pool man were very friendly and accomodating. The house itself is much more than what the pictures can convey. The view is breathtaking. The furnishings are comfortable and casual. We cannot wait to return here again and again.
