We just got back from our stay and can't say enough great things about this rental house. It is charming and comfortable. It easily fit our two families. The location is ideal. Our kids had a blast at the two beaches and walking into town.

A Wonderful Week

My family and I spent a week in Rockport, staying in this most charming house. It was so nice to be within walking distance of the restaurants, shops, and beaches of Rockport. The house was certainly well cared for, clean, and beautifully appointed. The upstairs suite was amazing! We did make a short drive to Good Harbor Beach and Wingaersheek Beach which were also lovely.
Our stay was relaxing and restorative... and the beds were SO comfortable! I would love the opportunity to return to Rockport and stay in this house again.
Thank you, Lisa!

We spent one week at " Perwinkle" in Rockport. The house is in a perfect location. It is within walking distant to everything you could want. Beaches, stores and restaurants, but it is a very quiet street. The master bedroom is fabulous. with ocean views. The house is very clean and doesn't have any clutter or the owners personal effects. I loved the style of decorating. It had some antiques but also a modern flair. It had a great yard for cook-outs and grilling. It doesn't have any bathtubs but nice showers. My family loved the outdoor shower. The beaches are ok, no waves and a lot of seaweed but the rocky coastline and gardens in rockport are beautiful. I would rent it again for sure.

We had a great time in Rockport.Periwinkle could not have been more perfect. This house has everything listed and more.We felt like we were staying in a fancy hotel then a rental house.Coming from New Jersey shore rentals where you have to bring everything from toilet paper to beach chairs. It was glorious to walk into a home and have everything a person could need. From the cooking utensils, pots, soft towels and lovely bedding. The views are wonderful especially from the third floor master suite. My children loved to come up morning, noon, and night just to hang and watch the ocean. We brought our binoculars and had fun watching the boats. We had two adults and three children (ages 8,12,15) and could have easily accommodate some of their friends. The best part of Rockport is being able to walk to the beaches, shops, even some hiking at the Headlands. We also took the train to Boston for the day. Rock climbing at Back Beach is also one my children's favorite things to do.We highly recommend Rockport and Periwinkle.

Perfect Rockport Gem

Periwinkle was perfect for us (3 adults and one toddler) - although it easily could have accommodated more people. It is literally a 3 minute walk from 2 beaches and a 5 minute walk into town. The house is decorated beautifully but is very comfortable. The master suite on the 3rd floor is worth the stay alone - it was like an amazing ocean treehouse - tremendous views and breezes. The owners thought of everything from paper products to shampoo . . . We would stay here again in a second!

Truly the only word to describe our days in the sun in Rockport. Lisa & Ed were a pleasure to deal with, and the house was all we expected and more. The pictures truly don't do the house justice. The master suite is AMAZING with great views of the water. I felt like I was waking up on the top deck of a luxury oceanliner every day we were there.

The location was perfect for everything we wanted to do. We never had to drive or worry about parking while we were in Rockport. (The house is located only about 10-15 minutes walk from the Boston commuter train--it'd be quite possible to spend a week there with no car at all). The beaches are literally a 1 or 2 minute walk from the house--two beaches to choose from, both very different and unique. It's maybe an 8 minute walk to the shops on Bearskin Neck, but it felt very close since there was so much to do and look at along the way. Lots of close food places. We ate at Beachstreet Bistro a few times--good food, friendly service, and a 1-2 minute walk from the house. The other restaurants in town are an easy walk of 5-8 minutes. Ellen's Harborside has great food and was very family friendly!

The historic house is stylishly decorated, but it's a very relaxed home. We had our 3 boys with us--a teenager, a preteen, and a toddler, and it was important to find a home where we could hang out together and not have to be worried all the time about lots of knicknacks or antiques or potential for things getting broken. This is a GREAT home for families; it even has an outdoor shower for easy clean-up after the beach.

There were lots of unexpected extra's too--like the wonderful, great-smelling shampoos and the beach chairs and beach toys that my kids so enjoyed. We enjoyed the beach and home so much that we gave up a couple planned days in Boston just so we could hang out longer in Rockport.

We had one of our best weeks ever in Lisa and Ed's home. Our family will always treasure our time there and we hope to go back!
