We visited during the spring 2012, and the townhouse was perfect for us. Upon arrival, Rick met us and gave us a tour of the home, as well as the property. He showed us where everything was located and how to operate every thing in the home. If needed he is a phone call away. The photos gave a very accurate picture of what to expect in the townhouse, and everything looked new and clean.
We were there celebrating my Dad's 97th birthday, and although he did not sleep there, it was our "hang-out" spot during the day. Having the elevator was a godsend for him. We feel the unit would be great for families of all ages.
While we were there we visited the Oceanographic Center on Hutchinson Island, Bathtub Beach, the Children's Museum on Indian River Drive, used the pristine swimming pool, and enjoyed a daily walk on the beach, about 1/2 to 1 block from our building.
We now have our favorite restaurants which include the Dolphin Bar Shrimp House, on Indian River Drive just south of the Children's Museum. This is a local landmark, and was once owned by 40's actress Francis Langford and her husband, Ralph Evinrude. The restaurant has many photos of Ms Langford, from her movies, and from the USO shows with Bob Hope. We also like Mary's, near Mulligan's on Indian River Drive, which my husband says has the best Reuben sandwich he ever devoured! Mary's is also a good place for breakfast. An unusual spot that we enjoyed was at the beach restaurant right at the round-about when one comes off the Causeway bridge. They have great Cuban sandwiches, and for breakfast lox and bagels, while viewing the sand dunes and ocean.
We look forward to returning to this property, and recommend it to couples and/or families.
