Absolutely perfect getaway!

Review Submitted: September 15, 2009 Date of Stay: September 2009
We are just back from a week in Penticton Paradise, thanks to Glen and his beautiful family and their wonderful cottage! Glen and Nobuko have thought of everything when it comes to this cottage and making sure their guests are comfortable, welcomed and pampered with no worries at all. The cottage itself is incredible and the surrounding mountains and views are stunning. Penticton is a perfect town with so much to do and see and this cottage is the perfect home base. Thanks to Glen and Nobuko and their exceptional hospitality it felt to us like a home did not want to leave and were thinking about returning to as soon as we drove away!!!

Unforgettable

Our First Holiday Coquitlam, BC, Canada
Review Submitted: September 12, 2009 Date of Stay: August 2009
It is with the utmost sincerity that we continue to thank Shane, Nobuko, Luke, Emily, Glen and Ginny for their incredible kindness and hospitality during our weekend visit to Penticton. Their thoughtfulness, coupled with the beautiful amenities provided at The Cottage, made our first family get-away more than memorable -- and we are looking forward to our next visit soon. The Cottage is stunning, located on beautiful acreage apt for all hiking-abilities, with a beautiful view of the Okanagan valley, and a pool that will (without a doubt) take your breath away. It is proximate to all major attractions in the area, but is pleasantly serene and wonderfully private. Despite all it's aesthetic charm, my family and I continued to be moved by the greatest treasure at the Cottage -- Glen and his family. Their thoughtful attention to detail, generosity and sincere kindness is unmatched and reason to visit the Cottage alone. I would never stay anywhere else in the Penticton area. Thank you for making our vacation so meaningful!
Owner's Response: We can not thank you enough for such a lovely review, I'm sure you have exaggerated some what!
We look forward to seeing you all........ again soon.

Beautiful Cottage in Mountain Forest

Shohen Duluth, MN / USA
Review Submitted: September 3, 2009 Date of Stay: August 2009
True to it's word! The cottage was perfect! Glen and his family were so accommodating and hospitable, genuinely fantastic people who provided the best customer service possible, with everything from making sure we had clean & dry towels and rugs, to ensuring we had all the staples of home. The cottage was immaculate, comfortable, and a beautiful piece of heaven. With internet access, a pool to swim in, a patio with an uninterrupted, peaceful view and yet close to town, this place is worth more than it's weight in gold. We would recommend this "cottage" to anyone looking to enjoy a perfect slice of vacation!
Owner's Response: Thank you so much. We look forward to seeing you again soon.

Hideaway Surprise!!

Stew & Kelly Edmonton, Alberta
Review Submitted: August 5, 2009 Date of Stay: July 2008
When we first turned the corner by the famous wooden cow we knew we were going to enjoy our stay. As we drove up the driveway to the cottage my wife Kelly and the kids were very excited at what the place looked like. Glen met us before we even got out of our car and was very hospitable right away. Glen gave us a tour of the cottage and we were blown away by how great the place was!!

There was a really nice gift basket sitting on the table for us when we arrived ,even a toy for the kids. There was a loaf of homemade bread that Nobuko had baked, some fresh peach juice was brought over to us that was very yummy!!

Our kids, Syd and Zach really enjoyed the company of Glen and Nobuko's children, who were the most pleasant and well behaved children we have met. The kids really enjoyed the pool and the ice cream from Nobuko..

Our overall experience was our best vacation to Penticton and we will make sure that we tell all our friends about this holiday retreat. Thanks again Glen, Nobuko and family. Kodiak says thanks to Ginny as well.

Looking forward to next summer!!

Stew, Kelly,Sydney and Zachary

Incredible Accommodations and Hospitality

Kent and Val Seattle, Washington
Review Submitted: July 20, 2009 Date of Stay: July 2009
My wife and I with another couple found this idyllic home away from home on the internet and thoroughly enjoyed our three night stay in mid-July this year. The immaculate, spacious cottage is tastefully decorated by the hostess with attention to detail one would put into your own home. The kitchen is fully equipped with quality cookware, knives, etc... to satisfy gourmet cooks, as we ate in each evening. The pool, shared with the host's charming family, is lovely with wonderful views of both lakes.

However, as wonderful as the accommodations were, their appeal is dwarfed by the sincere warmth and charm of Glen and Nobuko. The owners love life and people, and are truly what made our vacation that something extra special. They made us feel like we were twenty-year friends visiting for the weekend, yet at the same time respected our privacy and space. Any question or request was quickly met, and the personal touches above and beyond the call of simply renting us a cottage were ever-present from before we arrived to the last minute as we drove away. We have already told a half dozen friends and family, and are planning our return visit, either this winter for skiing or, if not then, definitely next summer for more golf, wine, and relaxation.
Owner's Response: Thank you so much Kent and Val for your lovely review.
We look forward to having your friends and family here in the furture to enjoy the mountian with us.
Maybe I should think about building a driving range at the back.......

Wow what a hidden gem!

Our first sight of the cottage didn't disapoint, not only was the drive up to the house an experience in itself, the welcome basket on arrival made us feel at home instantly. The view was incredable either from the balcony or from the pool. There was even space on the decking for our own BBQ, the house has all the mod cons that you need and the bathroom is nothing short of amazing (with a huge walk in glass shower and fully stocked with all the toiletries we needed). Glen and Nobuko are fantastic hosts and I would recomend this to anyone who is thinking of going somewhere for a quite relaxing break.

Glenn,

Thank you so much for making our Memorial Day weekend this year. You have an outstanding property and I can't wait to come again. Hopefully we can spend a week next year. It was perfect, you had everything needed for a relaxing weekend of wine tasting.

Thanks again

Beautiful cottage in a stunning location. As soon as we arrived at the cottage, our long journey from the UK was immediately forgotten. The cottage is beautifully furnished and decorated with lovely touches such as the welcome basket, bathrobes, courtesy toiletries (my son left his toothbrush behind!). Glen, Nobuko and their family made us feel so welcome. The whole area is wonderful to explore, we loved the horse riding at Apex Mountain and this was the perfect base to come back to for a dip in the pool at the end of the day. We will definitely be back and would thoroughly recommend to anyone wanting to visit this beautiful area of Canada.

We stayed for a week in April, and the cottage is simply wonderful. About 10 minutes drive out of town, up a country road with breath-taking views. The house has been deligtfully furnished, with great attention to detail. Bedrooms comfortable and airy, and the deck is to die for. Glen and his family are first class hosts, making you welcome and happy to chat about the area. We were looking to emigrate from the UK, and the information passed on to us helped us make our decision! If you like the great outdoors and a tranquil spot this is for you.
