We had a great time! Any problems we had were quickly resolved with one phone call. The kids loved the heated covered pool area and the beach! Only down side was the lack of privacy that 4 full bedrooms would provide. But multiple families with children will be right at home!

Great view but okay unit

I booked this condo because I had planned on traveling with 6 adults and 3 children around two years old. I ended up only traveling with 3 adults and 1 child so we had more than enough space.
Pros:
The condo looks just like the pictures. It is very roomy and I don’t think we would have felt crowded if my entire party had showed up. The view from the 20th floor is amazing. We could see stingrays every day and you could see up and down the beach for miles. It’s also on the corner so you have a little extra privacy. We had enough towels for us but I think if our entire party showed up we would have been a few short. The kitchen has a full size fridge, microwave and everything you need to cook a meal or make brownies. The bathrooms were huge, and the bedrooms were good size. It was nice having one private balcony and a group balcony but I think I would have preferred just one huge balcony.
Cons:
The cleanliness/lack of TLC was really what knocked this down two stars. If VRBO had half stars I would rank this place 3.5. The place looked like it had been cleaned about 3 months ago and no one had since stayed there. There was a fair amount of dust on the ceiling fans, some light dust on most of the furniture/lamp shades. Don’t get me wrong the place was clean it just didn’t seem spotless. Really the owner needs to spend a little bit of money and touch up the place. Most of the walls and baseboards were scuffed up and just looked dirty. Most of the caulk in the bathrooms had small amounts of black mildew and really needed to be stripped and caulked again. Also each balcony could have used a good pressure washing/scrubbing as the floor was gross, actually a rug would have fixed that issue. Finally the worst part were the couches, they both were stained and seemed real dusty. We ended up covering them up with extra bed sheets we found to just feel comfortable sitting on them to watch TV.
Notes:
No pantry for your food that I could find which caused us to use up most of the counter space as all cabinets were full of cookware. Nice washer and dryer. My wife thought the beds were pretty firm, but they were perfect for me. Normally I am not too hard on a room in reviews as I am not in it too often, but in this case with our 20 month old, we spent a lot of time in the room for naps and early bed times. I wouldn’t decide not to stay here because of my review as the price was right for what you get, the place just needs some TLC.

The whole family stay here in Sept.2011 and it was perfect for all of us.The unit was nicely decorated and very comfortable.Everything we needed was there.The owner even had books and DVDs that the grandchildren really enjoyed.The view from the unit is unbelievable,the best we've ever had.The staff at the resort and the folks at Panhandle Getaways were all friendly and helpful.We all enjoyed the pools and water park area too.If all of us are able to go back to Panama City,we will try to stay here again.

Wonderful Family Vacation

This condominium is truly exceptional. Our family of nine people to include twin five-year-old boys and a one-year-old had a wonderful time in this spacious, well-furnished, clean condo. Furthermore, Splash is the perfect vacation place for family members of all ages. We had an excellent view from the twentieth floor and could see many different fish and the largest sea turtle I have ever seen. The owners of this listing are friendly, helpful, and great to work with. I am writing this on the night before our planned departure (we stayed for a week) and I wish we had another week to spend here. There are splash pads for the little ones, pools for everyone, a fitness center that is clean and well maintained, and an arcade/game room that my boys loved. They made their own shark tooth necklaces as one of the activities provided here. We spent several nights on the beach and on the patio/deck areas listening to the waves roll in. This condo is close to Pier Park- a great shopping area with activities for children (we thought the food was great at Jimmy Buffett's Margaritaville.) Several days we simply ate in- as the kitchen is spacious and well-stocked with utensils. This is a great benefit over places without a kitchen or full size refrigerator. We would definitely give this listing a very high recommendation as being a great value- especially for families with children. We look forward to coming back next year!!! Sincere thanks to the owners for a wonderful vacation!!!

It started off bad because the elevators were broken. We had to stand in line for over 4 hours with all the luggage. We were on the 20th floor so my 63 old mother was trying to climb the stairs but had a very hard time because the stairway didn't have air. It was extremely hot. She did make it up only one time. We had already been to the store to get all the groceries so all the cold stuff was ruined by the time we got to the room 4 hours later. By the time we got to the room it was great. The room was very clean and had a great view. We got all the stuff unpacked and headed to the beach. The beach was very nasty. It had seaweed and June grass on the beach sand and as far out as you swim. Every time you came out of the water you looked like sea monster. I really wish the splash would clean the beach area up every morning. It would have made it a little better on the beach. We did have to call the maintenance for a toilet seat on Sat. when we got there in the bathroom but nobody ever came to put a new seat on the toilet so we had to deal with that all week. The owner of the condo was very helpful. I would recommend it to others. The room was great. It had a lot of cooking pots, pans, plates and utensils. We had a really great time but the elevators are always a problem. We have stayed at the Splash for 4 years. This was the biggest room we have ever stayed in at the splash. We had a great time with the family and would always do it again. Our family time is so special to us so it made it really nice to be able to stay in one room for the time we have together. We would love to come back for many years to come. Thanks so much for everything. We really enjoyed our time.

Wonderful Stay

This condo was clean and well decorated. Great views from the balconies, saw lots of dolphins! The building was well maintained and so were the pools. It is right on the beach so the kids loved to go from the pool to the beach and back to the pools at their leisure. We had a large group with ages ranging from 3 to 74 and everyone enjoyed themselves. Very good for large families, location is great! There are only two elevators on each tower but we never waited for more than a couple of minutes at the most. The beach was wonderful. Plenty of luggage carts which I've seen other reviews about this property complain about, but we found plenty of them, without any problems. The resort staff was polite and helpful. We recommend this unit to anyone looking for a truly hassle free vacation, in a building with great amenities, and a wonderful, well maintained, well decorated, clean, roomy condo.

Unit was spacious with a great view. The wi-fi was useful.The floor needed some attention as there was sheetrock dust on the floor from a ceiling touch-up.We had a great time and will plan to return for our next get-away.

This is a great unit and has a great layout--and view of course. The unit was very clean and well kept. We were very impressed! The free long distance and free wi-fi was very convenient! Great complex for kids as well-- plenty of things to keep them happy :) We will definitely be renting again!

FANTASTIC trip to SPLASH with family!

What a great place for family! We took our grown son and his wife to Panama City for a much needed vacation. We found the condo to be VERY clean, beautifully decorated and well stocked with anything you would need for a relaxing stay. The view is out of this world. The 20th floor allows you to see forever and each morning we woke to coffee and dolphin watching from the patio and huge windows in the greatroom. You are never to old to appreciate the excitement of spotting the dolphins or seeing marine life from that vantage point. There was so much to do in the area. Pier Park is just down the road. Tons of places to eat and shop close by and the beaches are great! I am hoping to return to this unit with kids and grandkids in the near future. The owners were very nice to work with which made the whole process that much easier.

our first vacation with twin grandbabies

We like the property. Everything was accessible even though we were going around with two strollers and a 2 year old. The only problem I saw was the cleaning was not up to par. The kitchen and baths were clean as far as toilet, sinks, tubs and ice box. I just think they never clean the floors and that was important with two 7 month olds and a 2 year old. We made them stay on a blanket we brought. When we walked around barefoot all of us had black feet from the condo floors and the rug didn't look as it had been vacummed. The sheets and towels were all clean and comfy as promised. We liked the snack bar by the pool and the little store because we didn't have to go back for more bottles of water or a soda. It was spacious and we had my two grown children and three grandchildren and my mom staying with us, We had lots of room and were able to cook with ease as it had all we needed. I would stay again but would wait until later in the year because we had only 79 degrees weather and rainy and blowing sand some of the days we were there making it impossible to go outside with babies. Not anyones fault just bad timing,
