The property is easy to get to, off the main road, close to area ski resorts. It is totally private. The home is beautifully decorated. The living room with wood stove was so cozy, warm and appealing. We kept the stove on just for the ambiance; there's nothing like a crackling fire and wood was plentifully provided. The kitchen is beautifully equiped; the bedrooms extremely comfortable; there was satellite TV, a hot tub, wireless Internet, lots of games, movies, books. The night sky from the deck of this lovely A frame was awash in stars that cannot ever be seen from the city. The mountains were brilliant with fall colors. This was truly a perfect getaway weekend, close to the Fryeburg Fair. We hope to return in the winter for another delightful stay.

Just returned from a week at the cabin - had a wonderful time at this beautiful home! It was very private, clean, thoroughly stocked and so comfy! The beds were awesome....and the hot tub looked very inviting, but we did not take advantage of it, as we stayed in July. We took day trips to North Conway, Portland, the White Mountains and spent a day on Kezar Lake (beautiful, beautiful spot). Chris was so great to work with, very accomodating and helpful. We are absolutely planning to return in the near future, hopefully in the cooler weather to try that hot tub!

Wonderful cabin, great location!

We had a great time and the cabin is fantastic. Warm and inviting, lots of amenities, and we loved the hot tub and wood-burning stove. Easy access to Bethel and the Sunday River ski resort, 20-25 minutes at most, with little traffic to contend with. Skiing was great, our new favorite resort in the Northeast...well-groomed runs and lots of terrain...never felt crowded, even during the busy President's Day week. But back to the cabin...it's great for families and we highly recommend it. And if you do go, don't miss Ebenezer's Pub just down the road in Lovell...great food and 30+ Belgian beers on tap.

We rented Chris's family cabin for 4 consecutive weekends in March to ski at Sunday River. It's an easy and pretty 25 minute drive to the mountain. And you'll be thrilled to return to the cabin at the end of the day. We are a family of 6. The cabin is cozy, but with the spacious loft and the basement (with ping pong table), we never felt crowded. The beds are incredibly comfortable and the cabin has everything you could want. We particularly enjoyed the hot tub after a day of skiing. We thoroughly enjoyed our time there and I have NEVER worked with someone more thoughtful and pleasant than Chris. Our experience was 100% positive. I would highly recommend this rental to anyone.

With all our busy schedules and living in different states,it is not often that I get the chance to send a long weekend with my sisters. Thank you for giving me this wonderful opportunity!! From the moment we opened the front door,your home was warm and inviting. It is such a peaceful spot. We loved the mountains views as we had our morning breakfast on your beautiful deck . Hiking and kayaking in the area was wonderful. Touring the surrounding towns and sampling all the delicious foods from local farms was a highlight of one of our days. From the care you have taken to furnish and maintain your home, we could tell that this is a very special spot. We look forward to more reunion visits and are hoping for a week next year.! Perfect Getaway...

I had a fantastic time at this house. I was there for a weekend getaway and was never bored. I was able to canoe, bike (mountain and road), and hike all in one weekend, from one location. Canoeing was simple to get to with ample choices of pristine lakes, biking was endless for choices on or off road, and hiking into the east side of the White mountains was brilliant because it is not as overcrowded as the presidental areas.
The house it self worked out fine, we had six people staying there and there was more then enough room for all of us to have our own beds.
I was at the house in the early fall, so the weather was perfect New England weather cool and crisp, with no bugs.
I cant wait to try to get up there again during the winter for some skiing and ice climbing.
